Chapter 15 - FIGHT IN THE MIST

8 years ago;

The rain was falling as if pouring water from a glass. Revy lay in the cave where she always was, thinking about the answers to her past. A staggering man entered, covered in blood. It was obvious that he was about to die. Revy caught the falling man before his head hit the ground.

"What's going on, who are you?"

The man was breathing hard. "I am the water king E..Dm..Edmir"

Revy Gray had no knowledge about the kingdoms because she had never left her village until now. "Who did this to you?"

Blood started to flow from Edmir's mouth. "C..o.. corruption." Edmir held Revy's hand tightly with one last breath. "Please save my son." These were Edmir's last words as he died.

As these memories replayed in Revy Gray's mind.

Revy's third self remained calm, her instincts screaming at her. He knew this was not a natural phenomenon. This was a trap set by unseen hands. The prince was the bait and they swallowed him. His mind was racing, trying to predict his enemies' movements, his hand never leaving the hilt of the Crimson Cliff.Revy's third persona remained calm, his instincts screaming at him. He knew this was no natural phenomenon. This was a trap, set by hands unseen. The prince had been the bait, and they had taken it. His mind raced, trying to predict their enemies' moves, his hand never leaving the hilt of the Red Abyss.

Without warning, the team lunged at him, their weapons glinting in the fog. The cunning of the second persona took over, guiding his hand as he deflected blows and parried attacks with the grace of a seasoned dancer. He knew their betrayal was coming; he could feel it in the air, thick and palpable as the fog itself. But he had not expected it so soon.

The prince's cries of protest were swallowed by the chaos, his eyes wide with fear as the team descended upon Revy Gray. But just as the first blade was about to make contact, the fog grew denser, choking and disorienting. The prince's form wavered, then vanished entirely, leaving only the echo of his desperate pleas.

Revy's second persona had anticipated this move, the sly smile on his lips growing wider. He slipped away from the grasp of his comrades, using the fog as cover to evade their blows. The third persona took over, his movements swift and precise as he disappeared into the murk.

Lili, Adam, and Lizzy stumbled through the thickening fog, their rage burning like a bonfire in their chests. "Where did they go?" Lizzy spat, her eyes narrowing as she searched the swirling mist for any sign of their quarry.
