The prince's eyes bulged in terror, his bluster replaced by the stark reality of his impending doom. His struggles grew more frantic, but the ropes held firm. "Please," he gasped. "I'll tell you anything you want to know. Spare me!"
Revy's second personality leaned in closer, his breath hot and sour. "It's a little late for that," he said with a smirk. "But I'll give you one last chance to prove yourself worthy of the title you stole." He flicked the card away and produced a small, sharp knife from his sleeve. "Tell me about the king you call father," he said, his voice a whispered challenge. "Tell me about his power, his weaknesses. Give me something I can use."
The prince's eyes darted to the knife, then back to Revy. He swallowed hard, his mind racing. "He...he can control the tides," he stammered. "With a thought, he can drown cities or summon storms. He is feared and revered, his power unmatched in the kingdom."
Revy's second persona studied him, the blade of the knife glinting in the moonlight. "And his weaknesses?"
The prince's eyes darted around the room, searching for an escape that didn't exist. "H-his weakness," he stuttered, "is his love for his... for his son. He would do anything to protect me."
Revy's second personality leaned back, the knife disappearing back into the folds of his sleeve. He nodded thoughtfully. "Interesting," he murmured. "And where is this all-powerful father of yours?"
The prince's face twisted into a sneer. "Why should I tell you?"
Revy's second persona leaned closer, his voice a low purr. "Because, my dear prince, your fate lies in my hands. And let me assure you, I've never had much use for divine lineage." He let the silence hang in the air, the only sound the prince's ragged breathing.
The prince's bravado crumbled under the weight of his fear. He nodded frantically. "Hermes, the regent," he managed to get out. "He's the one you should be worried about. He's the one who truly wields the power here."
Revy's second persona leaned back, his curiosity piqued. "Hermes," he mused. "Now that is a name I haven't heard in a long time." He turned to Seyrin, his eyes glinting with a newfound excitement. "It seems we have a new player in this game of gods and men."
As the prince squirmed in his bonds, a sudden commotion outside the garden walls drew everyone's attention. A small rabbit, its fur mottled with shadows, hopped through the underbrush and approached the revy unnoticed by all. Her eyes narrowed, watching the creature as it approached the unguarded prince and dropped a small piece of paper at his feet. Without missing a beat, the rabbit vanished back into the darkness.
Revy bent down and picked up the paper; his third self's instincts were screaming for attention. The message was simple but chilling: "Be careful , you're in a big trap." When he looked up to see the crew's confused expression, his heart skipped a beat and the warning echoed in his mind.
Revy put the paper in her pocket without showing it to anyone.
"What's the plan now?" Adam's voice was tight, the anticipation of battle thick in the air.
"We stick to the mission," Seyrin said firmly, her eyes never leaving the trembling prince. "We find the king of this kingdom and bring him to justice."
