Chapter 14 - Training Montage (III)

Will and Amy trained for the next few days perfecting the usage of the mapping and the appraisal functions. Even though the days were boring, at least Will had the new drive to live. After his father's passing, Will was at an all time low. Even though he never showed it in his face, he always felt down that he was the only one in his class without a father. Every Parents Day, when everybody came with their parents, only Will was the only one who had his mother, while everyone had both their parents.

Amy saved Will. Even though he never showed it, he felt happy that Amy was there to brighten up his mood. Through the constant grueling days, even though he never showed it, he always fulfilled that he was pursuing his dream of solving the largest puzzle, and what better puzzle can be there if not for this adventure.

After a few days, when Will was getting the hang of the two functions, Amy suddenly told him to stop.

"Will, we can now focus on the third function. Those pesky agents have now all gone away." Will thought he had heard anger in her voice just now, though he dismissed it., citing his imagination.

"Alright, here goes nothing." With that, Will activates the third function of the watch, the armor function. The watch transforms into a partially transformed armor, and only covers up to his left arm and part of his chest.

"Will, the first time we did it, the blast radius was too large, therefore we had alerted the authorities. To make sure that this does not happen again, we have to learn how to control how large we want the blasts to be. Now, to do this, you need to focus Will. Focus like you've never done before. Pour all your focus to make the bullets smaller, but more lethal." With this, Amy instructing Will how to condense the smaller bullet.

Will followed her instructions, and in doing so, conjured a small, coin sized bullet, that was more lethal than the original blast. He aimed it at the cans Amy had stacked up, and started firing at it.

Pew! Pew! Pew!

The bullets went, and and all the cans were struck down, each with a hole in the center. Amy was gob smacked, and questioned Will "How did you do that?"

Will, feeling smug, proudly boasted "I may not look like it, but I was the carnival champion for the last 5 years. My aim is one of the best in the entire county."

"Yes, yes, Will, We know how you feel. Now, you still must repeat this for the next coming days, because the focus must become second nature to you, so you don't have to think each time before shooting a bullet, as this is a matter of life and death."

"Yes, yes, instructor Amy." Will rolled his eyes, and started following Amy's instructions on how to train on using the cannon.

Meanwhile, unknown to both Will and Amy, a signal is picked up by a satellite, which is then sent to its receiving station, waiting for the next command.
