Ricky Sanchez looked like your average, normal guy in everyday life. Well, except for the the fact that he had spiky black hair, a lanky body build, thin fingers, a tall face, and a long nose.
His intelligence, on the other hand, spoke volumes otherwise.
Ricky started speaking when he was 2 months old, walked when he was 6 months (albeit with a stroller as support), writing when he was a year old, and building his first prototype when he was 4 years old. He always threw curveballs at life.
When he went to elementary school, he caused a huge ruckus due to his superior intelligence. While all the other children were playing with each other or drawing with their fingers, Ricky was busy painting new inventions in canvases. When other children were learning their ABC's and their numbers, he was busy learning advanced algebra. When the children were taking a nap, Ricky was busy reading the theory's of past philosophers and scientists, most notably of Max Planck.
The teachers quickly noticed his abnormality, and notified his parents about it. His father wanted nothing more than to accelerate his academic career and make him skip several grades, but his mother on the other hand wanted him to experience his youth, and argues with his father to not let him skip grades. In the end, she won.
But growing up, Ricky had his own difficulties. Being Mexican made him understand the harsh reality at a much earlier age, as he would be constantly picked on. This made him forcefully learn how to speak fluently in English, so that he won't be picked on. His unnatural intelligence made him understand that he had no peers at his age group, and those who had the same level of knowledge as him, often mocked him for being too young. This made Ricky's nature more withdrawn than ever.
However, this all changed when he went to middle school. There he made a friend, a friend by the name of Will Evans. Even though Will was not as smart as him, he was the same as him. Forlorn, dejected, disconsolate. Yet he always smiled at life, no matter how tough it was. This made Ricky approach him, to find why does he always smile. What he said shocked Ricky.
"I smile because crying is no use. I smile because it happened, and I was there. I smile because if I don't smile, my mom won't be happy."
This made Ricky think about his life. Why does he have this much intelligence? What is he using it for? Can he use it to make other people happy?
With this, Ricky started building prototypes from that day onwards. Most of them failed, but as he kept improving, they started to get better and better. Ricky submitted his first successful prototype type at age 15, and from that day onwards, he was richer, happier, and also made a new friend.
So when it's found out that Will needs his help, Ricky dropped everything, and opened the door to help them when they came.
"So, what do you need my help for? Tell me, and I will help you the best I possibly can, p.s. I am very loaded."
