The bell had rung, signaling a change in class, but for some reason, everyone was walking out of the class as I got to the door.
This left me confused. I spotted Matilda coming out next, her hands brushing her hair.
"What's up?" I asked, moving closer to her until I was standing beside her. "Where is everyone going?"
"Didn't you hear?" She asked, which caused me to roll my eyes.
"If I did, I wouldn't be asking," I replied with a hint of sarcasm.
Matilda sighed, "There's an important announcement, and for some reason, they wanted all of us at the auditorium."
My curiosity only rose. I followed Matilda as we made our way to the auditorium. The buzz of conversation among the students grew as we approached the large double doors. I couldn't help but wonder what this 'important announcement' was all about as it was unlike the school to ever disrupt a class.
