We arrived at the truck, and a frustrated sigh escaped my lips as I observed the abundance of boxes. "That's a lot," Ethan muttered, to which I shot him a glare that only made him chuckle. He strolled towards the open truck and started securing a box.
"Wait up," I called out, hastily selecting a box of my own as he attempted to leave. However, he paid me no mind, completely ignoring my presence as he made his way back. As a result, I had to quicken my pace to catch up with him.
Returning to our stand, I muttered to myself, "One down, over twenty more to go," as I placed the box on the table. Just then, Alex appeared, seemingly appearing out of thin air.
"What's up?" he greeted me with a warm smile, one that I gladly returned. His attention then shifted to Ethan. "Hey, I'm Alex," he introduced himself, extending his hand for a handshake.
