Chapter 38 - Chapter 38

"Well, you sit down and relax while I make us dinner."

He picks up the paper and looks over at her. "You know you could have looked up jobs on the internet."

She cleared her throat. "I left it back at the office when I stormed out. I don't want to go back there."

"I can go get it for you."

"Thanks, but I can ask Nelly to get it for me."

"Alright. Mind if I turn on the tv to catch the news?"

She laughed. "Ryan, you don't have to ask. Make yourself at home, do whatever you want."

"Anything?"

"Yup," she answered back.

"Then in that case," he said, picking her up tossed her over his shoulder and carried her to the bedroom and laid her down. "Now this is what I want to do."

"What about dinner?" she asked, putting her arms around his neck.

"It can wait." He lowered his mouth onto hers, showing her just what he had in mind.

They never did get to have dinner that night, instead, they made love, trying different positions until they fell asleep exhausted. Waking up Ryan looked over to her side of the bed, not seeing her he gets up and got dressed. He could smell bacon cooking and his stomach growled. He was starving, knowing that men couldn't live on s£x alone, he also needed food.

"Good, you're awake, breakfast is ready," she said, handing him his coffee.

He sat down, holding his cup and watched as she dished out their food. His eyes going over her, liking what she was wearing. It was some kind of top that went down far enough to cover her ass with a slit up the sides. "Great, I'm starving," he said when she handed him his plate.

She poured them both a large glass of orange juice before sitting down. "It's no wonder you're starving, we missed dinner and you did work up quite an appetite."

"It was worth missing dinner for," he said, staring at her.

"You're doing it again," she said, looking back at him.

"Doing what?" he asked, confused.

"Staring at me. You've been doing that a lot lately."

"I really like seeing you this way, making breakfast and wearing something provocative. I've been thinking that maybe you should move in with me."

She dropped her fork and it hit her partially empty plate, making a clattering noise. "You want me to what?"

"Move into my place. Look, it makes sense since we spend almost every night together. I like going to sleep at night with you and waking up beside you every morning." He reaches over and takes her hand. "How about it?"

"No," she says, shaking her head.

He pulls his hand away from hers and sits back. "Just like that, you say no without thinking about it." He wasn't sure if he was hurt or more pissed off at her rejecting him. "Why not? We've been seeing each other for almost five months and we get along great. Moving in with me would save us the hassle of going back and forth to each others place."
