Chen's POV
I was overjoyed when I heard that the crowning won't hold anymore until Longwei returns from the battle. I was so relieved because I wasn't ready to make an oath for any reason. The man doesn't even want me and becoming Queen would give me no chance of leaving this place.
I needed to see Longwei and I know I'm the one he hated to see most but I wasn't going to see him because of the crowning matter. This matter was more important to me than anything.
"You still have the effrontery to come to my room after all you've done?" He asked glaring at me.
I didn't even know he was going to allow me to enter his room. Stepping inside that room, I couldn't help but to remember when I had slept in there and how I destroyed everything with fireballs.
"I needed to see you before you leave for war," I said quickly.
" Are you praying that I don't return?" He asked bluntly.
