I stood on the rock for several hours, and all Laura had to say was, "you got this."
I had been hearing these exact same words for almost an hour now, but there was still no change. My body didn't feel anything new or strange.
"You have to relax. Breathe in and hold your breath, Emily," Laura added.
"I'm trying! I'm trying! It's just not working!" I retorted.
I had fallen off the rock countless times over the past four hours, or even longer. Climbing back onto the three-feet-high rock was even more exhausting and frustrating.
After so many negative thoughts about the training, including the sentiment that Laura is a bad bitch, I jumped down from the rock. But the truth is, I was almost falling off, so I just made it seem like I did it on purpose. "Don't tell Laure. Silly me!"
