Elizabeth cleared her throat and looked at me again. There was no holding back this time, no way out. She had to face whatever was coming next head-on.
"I'm afraid the Unifier is Nethan," she revealed, her head down.
"Sorry, who?" Laura abruptly asked, unsure of which Nethan Elizabeth was referring to.
Elizabeth sighed and turned her gaze toward Ethan. "It's your father, Nethan. He's back, and I saw him among the Deanite wolves in the mountains before I passed out."
Ethan remained speechless and emotionless. For a brief moment, I wondered if he had even heard the name Elizabeth had mentioned. Soon, he voiced out.
"Why am I not surprised that this so-called Unifier is my father?" Ethan responded. "After all, that's exactly what he has always done to me. Throughout my teenage life, he only caused me pain and abandonment," he lamented with a relaxed expression and tone.
