"How long will it take your poison to affect me?" said Kier. Steam rose from the wooden cup in front of him. He rested his elbows on the table, one of his fists over the other in front of his mouth, as if pondering something serious.
"I didn't poison you." Ina was struggling to open a jar.
"So it'll be days, right? That way, I'll forget about it and drop dead suddenly."
"Would you be silent for a second? I'm handling heat oil here."
"Why would you handle heat oil? Use Magic."
"My Magic works a little differently than yours."
