"He is always cold"
"Cold as ice"
"But now wonder why?"
"He's being nice"
It was the start of another morning and also another disaster. The girls were in their rooms getting ready for work when they heard Louis's voice coming from downstairs. The voice was loud, very loud as if he was shouting which he was. They quickly rushed downstairs to see what was happening. The two maids came downstairs and saw Fredrick standing next to Louis who was burning in anger. A man was standing in front of him who was also the head of the group of guards.
"Tell me how?. HOW DID HE ESCAPE!?"Louis questioned the man. His raging gaze on the man-made him apprehensive.
"S..sir I d..do..n't know"the man replied stuttering. His voice was shaking as If an earthquake was occurring inside his body.
"What DO YOU MEAN by you don't know!?"Before the man could say anything someone interrupted
"Sir!"
Louis turned to him and the man waited for the mafia king to permit him to make his statement.
"Be silent or let your words be worth more than silence" Taking this as his permission the man spoke
"Sir last night that maid was the last person who entered the basement" he pointed his finger at Jurin making her eyes widen.
"I entered the basement to give him water" Jurin made her defence
"And who told you to do that act of kindness?" Louis asked coming towards her.
"Master it was me. After your friend had beaten him I told Jurin to give him water" Minnie revealed
"Did I order you to?" On his question, he got nothing but silence from Minnie.
Suddenly he held Jurin's hand and dragged her to the nearby room and nobody tried to stop him. He pushed Jurin into the room and she landed on the bed.
"W..What are you doing?!"Jurin shouted when Louis slammed the door shut. She didn't know what his intentions were but from knowledge, she did know that they were not good.
"Tell me. Who do you work for?"The statement of his guard made Louis suspect Jurin. He thought that she could be a helper of his enemy and who knew if she was one?
The situation was even worse for Jurin as she knew that Louis didn't trust her.
"I work for nobody except you"Jurin answered his question and stood up.
"Oh really?" Louis said and the way he spoke made it visible by Louis that he didn't believe her. Something similar to this had happened when a maid actually turned out to be working agaisnt him as a spy so he didn't trust anyone but Minnie as she had been working there for the longesnt
"How much did he pay you?" he asked Jurin who didn't answer his question. Instead, she tried to prove her innocence to remove Louis's suspicion but failed. He was hard to convince and especially since there was no evidence to prove that Jurin didn't help the man escape.
"Now if you don't tell me who is your new master then...
He stepped closer to Jurin who was brave to stand infront of him.
"I have my ways" he added
"I am telling you that I didn't help the man escape then why don't you believe me?"
"Do you think I'll believe your lies or be swayed away by your sweet words?"Louis asked staring into her eyes
"I am not lying!" Jurin said loudly. With every passing second the anger inside her was increasing but it was of no use as it wasn't giving her any strength or power.
"Your lucky that I don't kill women" Louis said and it made Jurin ask herself if he was wanting to kill her.
He prisoned one of her arms in his hand and dragged her out of the room. Minnie could only look as her friend was taken out of the mansion.
Jurin's feet were being forced to move and she couldn't do anything about it. Watching their master come towards the gates the guards opened them and Louis ruthlessly pushed Jurin outside. Jurin turned to look at the gates which were closed for her now and probably forever.
"Congratulations for blaming an innocent!" Jurin yelled which was heard by Louis but he didn't stop in his path or turned back to look at her. He just walked back inside where everyone was standing in the same position they were in when he left
"S..sir"
"Minnie don't even think that I will bring that girl back into the house"Before Minnie could even place her request before the mafia king he gave her his answer.
"But sir...
Louis didn't hear what she wanted to say and left from there and went to his room.
Jurin had only stayed there for a short time but in that short period from her behaviour, Minnie did get an idea that Jurin is a nice girl and she wouldn't want to harm anyone but she also understood Louis's reaction as something similar to this had once happened in the mansion.
"I guess only Fredrick can try to make Louis agree," Minnie thought to herself
After a while, someone busted into Louis's room breaking the silence that he was enjoying
"What happened?" Louis looked at Fred's grumpy face and asked
"Louis you know very well that she didn't help the man escape then why did you kick her out?"Fredrick questioned his friend. Even he was against Louis's actions towards Jurin.
"She needed to go and if she stayed here any longer then we would have to face the same consequences as last time"
"Last time was different. Jurin called you her saviour and is also very nice. I know that you wanted her to leave from the start but this just isn't right and also you never treated women this badly" Fredrick spoke
"Listen Fred right now we can't trust anyone and she doesn't seem alright. Her choice of choosing to live in my house, the house of a mafia king. Iam sure that she didn't have any good intentions" Louis said refusing to bring Jurin back
Fredrick was about to say something when Louis's phone started ringing. He looked at the phone, read the name of who was calling him and declined the phone call.
"Where will she go if she is innocent.?"Fredrick asked and sat on the bed
"The world may be a home to many bad people but that doesn't mean that it lacks kind people. Take me for example"
Fredrick could do nothing but sigh. his friend always did what he thought was right and never cared about people's opinions and advice. He went downstairs and entered a room to make their next and most important plan.
Jurin walked through the busy streets and alleys having no idea where to go. The place was new for her and she had nothing with her.No money, no water, no food and most importantly she had no shelter.
"How was she going to live in these conditions?" she wondered
She walked and walked. Asked some people for help with the hope that someone would be kind enough to help her but they ignored her voice.
Tired of using her legs she sat in a narrow alley. Her stomach grumbled as she hadn't even eaten breakfast. Her throat was also dry. She rested her head along a trashcan and tried to sleep but was unable to because of the deafening noise of the cars and their loud horns. The voices belonging to the large crowds of people didn't allow her to sleep so she just sat there thinking about
"How will she survive?"
You can stop a lot of things from moving in their path but you can't stop time. From the morning it changed into night. The bright sun bid goodbye to the sky and the white moon and sparkling stars came into the sky.
The weather was pretty pleasant during the daytime but unexpectedly black clouds were appearing in the sky welcoming chances of rain. Slowly raindrops started to fall from the clouds in the sky and soon it was raining heavily. Small rivers came on the road and the streets but nobody was enjoying this change of weather.
Louis was sitting on the bed reading a book when lightning struck in the sky making a loud noise. He got up from the bed and placed his book on the shelf from where he took it. He stood in front of his window looking at the entire city which was wet. The waterdrops dripped from the leaves of the trees. The city had been conquered by darkness which was to stay for some time before light began its rule again.
"She would be alright" Louis told himself when someone entered his room
"I have the plan all ready so when are we going to execute it?"Fredrick asked him
"What about today?.No one will suspect or be ready for the attack"Louis spoke as he watched the raindrops on his window slide down.
"Today? Are you crazy? There is a thunderstorm coming and after a car got struck by lightening everyone is advised to stay inside" Fredrick said
"Okay then we can do it tomorrow" Fredrick hummed in return to Louis's statement and left the room. Louis rubbed his hands unsure if throwing Jurin out of the mansion was the right decision and he was feeling doubtful about what he did.
"What if I made a mistake?. Why do I feel worried for her. No, Louis you can't let her be like that" he said to himself watching the pitter patter of raindrops on his window.
Louis turned away from the window and walked towards his closet. He opened his closet and took out his brown long coat. Wearing it he stepped out of his room and closed the door. He glanced at his guards and went downstairs.
"You two come with me," he said to the two guards standing near a pillar. Without asking any questions the men followed him outside. One of them carried a black umbrella with him. They sat in the car and the driver started the car. He was only told that they had to go to the city. The location of any place was not given to him.
"Master, where do you want to go in this harsh weather? The driver inquired. Raindrops fell on the vehicle's front window.
"Stop" Hearing this the driver immediately stopped the car and Louis got out. The two men which he brought with him also got out to protect their mater if any danger lurks in the dark city.
"You come with me and you go find her"
"Master who?"
"Jurin" he spoke her name in a tone not so loud and not so low
"Yes, master"the man went away to look for Jurin.
Louis and the man who held the umbrella on his master's head walked around the city checking every alley they would find along the way.
"Master, why are you looking for her when you kicked her out of the house?"
"I need to ask something important from her?" Louis lied. The only thing which was important for him right now was finding where was Jurin
"Something related to work? "the guy asked
"Are you a reporter or my guard?"Louis said annoyed by the man's question.
"Sorry," the man said
After making their eyes wander from alley to alley and from shop to shop their hopes to find Jurin vanished away.
"Master what if she took shelter somewhere?"The question had only been asked when the man who Louis had sent to look for Jurin came rushing towards them. He was panting and was tired as he had been looking for them for a long time.
"What happened buddy?" the guard asked him
"You got chased by dogs?"he further added
"Master...I found her?" the man answered trying to get proper breaths.
"Where? Where is she?" Louis inquired and he wanted the answer quick
"Come with me"
The man started walking and Louis and the other man followed him. The three reached an alley where Jurin was. Her head rested on the green trashcan beside her and her body was all wet. Louis went up to her who was in a deep slumber. He took off his coat and wrapped it around her body which was freezing. He picked her up in his arms and took her to the car. Louis placed Jurin in the backseat of the car and asked the driver to turn on the car heater when a man whispered to the other.
"Master's behaviour nowadays is so strange"
"Oh is it?"Louis who heard this spoke and the two men looked at each other. The same thought was in both of their heads.
"How did he hear that?" they wondered.
The two men sat in the back seats and Louis in the front while the driver's seat was occupied by none other than the driver.
They are still in the middle of their drive when Louis heard his men bickering with each other. He looked back to see what they were fighting over and saw them pushing Jurin's head from one shoulder to the other.
"Can't you just let her keep it on your shoulder?" the male said loudly when he noticed Louis's looking at them and both of them instantly went silent. Finally, the car stopped infront of the mansion and Louis stepped inside with Jurin in his hands. The moment he stepped inside with Jurin in his arms the two pair of eyes in the room shifted to Louis.
The girl and the man couldn't believe what they were seeing in front of their eyes. They were so shocked that for a minute their ability to speak was taken away. Louis placed Jurin on the couch and said
"Minnie take her to the room"
"Sir you...
Minnie looked at Jurin and blinked multiple times
"Do what I said" he spoke and went upstairs to his room leaving his maid and friend astonished
"I can't believe it!" she shrieked and quickly covered her mouth realizing she was too loud.
"Did he bring her back? He is a man of his words then how can he...
"Also what magic words did you say to him that he brought her back?" Minnie added to her statement and turned to Fredrick
"I didn't say any magic words to him but I know that Louis has a soft side which he hides from people. I guess this is his soft side."
"You should take her to the room or else she will catch a cold. Don't wake her up though as she must be tired"Fredrick advised Minnie which she accepted. Jurin's weight was less than hers but that didn't make it any easy for her to lift her. At that moment Frederick offered her his help and took Jurin to the room and placed her on the bed. Minnie covered Jurin with a blanket and switched off the lights in the room so that her sleep may not be disturbed.
