As soon as Jane walked into the room, Lilly was taken aback. Her eyes widened in surprise, her heart pounding in her chest. Jane, on the other hand, wore a smug smile on her face as she observed Lilly's defenseless state, tied to the chair. It was a sight that sent chills down Lilly's spine.
"Jane... Why are you doing this to me?" Lilly managed to utter, her voice filled with a mix of shock and disbelief.
She couldn't comprehend how someone she had loved and cared for as a friend could betray her so deeply.
Jane's smile widened, her eyes glinting with a hint of malice. "Look at you, Lilly. Defenseless without your boyfriend to save you," she taunted, her words dripping with venom. It was clear that Jane took pleasure in Lilly's vulnerability.
Struggling against the restraints that bound her, Lilly mustered up the courage to confront Jane. "Why, Jane? What did I do to deserve this from you? We were friends, always there for each other. I never expected you to turn against me like this."
Jane interrupted her, cutting off any further attempts at explanation or reasoning. "I'm sick and tired of being in your shadow, Lilly. You always took the spotlight, effortlessly getting everything you wanted. Meanwhile, I had to work twice as hard for even a fraction of the recognition. Well, not anymore."
She laughed out loud "look you didn't even have to work hard to get Alex he just came to you, you know every girl would kill for him, but you… You just got him so effortlessly, how fortunate huh?.
Lilly's eyes widened in surprise, her mind racing to make sense of Jane's outburst. "But... Why did you gang up with Xavier? What does he have to do with all of this?" she asked, desperation evident in her voice.
"You remember how much I suffered in his hands and this you went ahead to join hands with him to take me down, Jane".
"Spare me those nonsense, you enjoyed every bit of attention he gave you, while I suffered in the dark" Lilly was so disgusted by what she had just said to her, she couldn't believe how deep Jane had fallen into darkness.
"I so sorry Jane, I didn't mean to make you feel that way, I always treated you as my friend and sister, you were the closest thing to a family to me" she said and tears gathered in her eyes threatening to fall.
Xavier, who had been lurking in the shadows, couldn't help but let out a sinister laugh. His cold, calculating eyes met Lilly's, sending shivers down her spine.
"Oh, Lilly, my dear, you underestimate the lengths I'm willing to go to get what I want. And you, my dear, are one of things I want but first I have to deal with Alex." He went closer to her and tucked her hair behind her ears
"Don't worry darling, your sweet boyfriend will come to your rescue and when he does I will be waiting for him" he. smiled wolfishly
Fear gripped Lilly's heart as Xavier called a few people to come and take her away. Her mind raced, knowing all too well the dangers that awaited her at the warehouse where Alex was on his way.
Alex, her boyfriend, the one she loved and trusted with her life. She knew he would come for her, but a part of her wished he wouldn't.
As the men approached, Lilly's heart skipped a beat. She knew she had to stay strong, to find a way to escape this nightmare.
But deep down, a small part of her couldn't help but hope that maybe, just maybe, Alex wouldn't come for her. The thought of him being caught in the crossfire terrified her more than anything.
As the men forcefully dragged her out of the room, Lilly's eyes met Jane's one last time. There was a flicker of remorse in Jane's gaze, but it was quickly overshadowed by the cold determination that had consumed her.
It was a look that told Lilly that their friendship, once so strong, had been irreparably shattered.
As she was led away, Lilly's mind raced with thoughts of escape, of reuniting with Alex, and of the painful betrayal that had brought her to this moment.
She knew that the road ahead would be fraught with danger, but she was determined to fight, to survive, and to uncover the truth behind this shocking betrayal.
As soon as they got to the warehouse after a few minutes she saw Alex coming into the building, her eyes fixated on him, she knew Alex would not forgive himself if anything were to happen to her.
"I am here now, let her go" his voice echoed
