June's POV
I woke up to the sound of someone knocking at my door. Getting out of bed still feeling sleepy, I dragged my body towards the door to open it for whosoever was on the other side. I rubbed my eyes with one hand while opening it with the other.
"Paa." I called out in surprise as he was the last person I expected to see at my door. Regaining my senses, I greeted him and ushered him into the room. Probably knowing why he came to my room, I said.
"About yesterday...." I had thought everything through and I decided to explain all to dad but before I could continue, he interrupted my speech.
"I understand honey." he said looking at me making me blink twice.
"You are no more my baby girl, you've grown and can make your own decisions. I'm sorry about what I said yesterday, I just felt a bit protective as usual." he said with a smile. "I'm not changing your school, at least your mum made me reason that."
"Paa." I called while going to sit on the bed close to him. I moved Luen's leg from the way and sat down holding his arm. "You didn't have to apologize. I understand you were just being protective besides it was also my fault for not telling you. I thought I had let you down." I said looking downwards.
"Oh honey, you have never let me down and I'll always be proud of you and will always be there to support you." he said.
"Paa." I called feeling all mushy and sweet inside. "But...." Oh no there is a but now. I looked up at him.
"In as much as you have agreed to be that boy's girlfriend, I haven't accepted him yet. That's till I see him and decide if he is good for you. So, invite him sometime so I can check him out." he said with his face showing his reluctance. Seems like this is mum's magic working here. Smiling and Laughing at his expression,
"Thank you paa, I understand. I'll ask him over, I promise you will like him." Agreeing reluctantly he said.
"Come here." opening his arms for a hug. I moved closer and hugged him. Luen who had woken up also jumped from the back hugging him. We were engrossed in the hug when I heard him say "why do you guys have to grow so fast?" We disengaged from the hug and he stood up to leave.
"Till then, let's see. Okay, prepare quickly for school, I'll drop you girls off today. It's been a while since I did that." he said smiling while patting our heads. He left the room so we could get ready. We had our bath, wore our uniform and went down for breakfast after which paa drove us to school.
Luen's POV
Kensington High.
On reaching the school, we both pecked uncle Nick on the cheek and bid him goodbye before alighting from the car. Uncle was watching as we went into the school with a smile on his face. Juni and I walked hand in hand as we moved towards the main building.
Seeing us entering the school, Someone came from the back hugging June. I removed my hands from hers as I turned to see the person I was obviously expecting.
"Hey lover boy." I said with a smile on my face.
"Good morning Luen." he replied before greeting Juni.
"How is my beautiful girlfriend today." he asked with a doting smile on his face. I smiled at them before I sighted Luka and waved at him making him walk faster. Blushing, June said,
"Well handsome boyfriend, I'm not happy." in a fake sad tone. He released her from the hug and turned her to face him. By now Luka had reached where we were. We hugged, greeting each other before turning to face the new couple.
"Why is my princess sad." Geez, this guy is making me cringe with all these name calling.
"Hey, stop calling all those names, you sound too cheesy." I said looking at him with fake disgust.
Turning to June, he said
"Only for you babe." with a wink making us cringe and I rolled my eyes.
From the corner of my eye, I saw a figure walking towards us. I turned to see Uncle. I thought he left already? Well someone is in for hot soup.
"Last night...." Juni said before pausing looking straight ahead.
"Last night what?" he asked confused.
Seeing her distracted and looking elsewhere, he turned to the direction she was looking at only to come face to face with uncle's handsome face. Shock and surprise evident on his face, he stepped back a bit not being able to hide the shock on his face.
Seeing his reaction, we all had the urge to laugh but tried as hard as possible to keep it in.
"s-s-Sir." he called out respectfully greeting uncle.
"You are Alex right?" Uncle asked with a stern look on. The one he has when he is with the force.
"Y-yes Sir." He stammered for the second time in a row. Squinting and giving a frown, uncle Nick asked.
"What relationship do you have with my daughter?"
Alex seemed to be in a dilemma as to how he should respond to the question when uncle continued deepening his frown.
"You hugged just now and kissed her last night or did you think I didn't see that?" Alex looked like his soul had been kicked out of his being as he stood straight scared to the bone.
"What punishment do I give you for this offence?" uncle asked. Facing the fierce military man, Alex looked like his knees would go weak anytime soon and betray him.
June who had been struggling not to laugh finally burst out in a fit of laughter. Alex's face paled as you could read his expression as someone who wanted the ground open up and swallow him. Who wouldn't feel that way, he's girlfriend was literally laughing when he was in a supposed life and death situation.
Uncle turned facing Luka and I, he moved his view to Luka squinting his eyes before asking him to come forward.
"s-Sir are you talking to me?" Luka who had been laughing at his friend asked stuttering.
"Is there any other person behind you." Uncle asked scaring Luka and I tried hard not to laugh. He moved forward towards uncle.
"I suppose you are chirpy's boyfriend." he asked with his lips pursed. "Tsk tsk tsk, what should I do to you guys." uncle asked standing straight while acting like he was thinking.
"A thousand push-ups? No, that's too small. Uhm.." He said making both boys freeze. I was also in shock, a thousand is small? Well for a military officer, it should be small. He suddenly turned bending to their eye level to face the boys who were like 5 centimeters below him making them shudder in fright. I joined June in her fit of laughter as I couldn't take the scene anymore.
Feeling satisfied, uncle suddenly smiled at the boys before laughing at their expression. He stood up straight patting their shoulder. The boys looked like they would die any time soon if his hands kept on patting them.
"I was just messing with you guys. Nice to meet you." he said with a smile to the unresponsive Alex and Luka.
"Seems cupcake wasn't wrong, I like you." he said to Alex. Looking at the both of them, he said.
"You guys should come around sometime. Also, take care of my babies okay? Or else." he gave them a mischievous smirk and patted their shoulder once more before going round to hug Juni and I. He bid them good bye before finally leaving.
With him gone, the two boys took a deep breathe and could only look at us helplessly as we laughed nonstop at them. We held hands and walked into the school building together.
