Chapter 7 - Spells-Skip-funeral

Valerius swiftly retrieved the invisibility cloak from the box and draped it over himself. In an instant, he vanished from view.

Gellert's curiosity got the better of him, and he inquired, "Is this one of the Deathly Hallows?"

Valerius reappeared and replied, "This cloak was entrusted to Nicholas Flamel by Albus Dumbledore for study and understanding. We were fortunate to acquire it, along with nearly 300 tons of gold that could sustain our family for generations."

Gellert was taken aback by the magnitude of the loot. The gold weighed more than a blue whale.

As they passed through the castle walls, they arrived at a vast training hall. Gellert announced, "Alright, I will instruct you in the most complex Dark charm, Protego Diabolica."

Valerius responded with determination, "I'm prepared."

A year passed, during which Valerius honed various magical skills. These included White and Dark charms, memory charms like

Memory Extraction,

Memory Induction,

Memory Modification,

as well as spells such as

Protego Diabolica,

Vulnera Sanentur,

Arresto Momentum,

and Valerius's own creations:

Protego Sanctus, (Opposite of Diabolica : it cause a range field to heal as well as protect them)

Inanis, (Void : none of the spells will hit the user, it be void there is no exception for killing curse)

Mille Plagis Gladii (1000 sword slashes: highest form of septumsempra)

Valerius focused primarily on combat spells, driven by his desire not to squander any more time. Technical spells like the Disillusionment Charm and Confundus Charm would be saved for his time at Hogwarts.

During Valerius's stay at Nurmengard, Gellert had been preparing something significant. He had uncovered the key to Grindelwald's London Mansion and the Gringotts bank ring associated with the Grindelwald family.

Valerius puzzled over the significance of the items. "What's the purpose of this, Grandfather?"

Gellert explained, "These are the key to Grindelwald's mansion in Magical Britain and the Gringotts bank ring. I'm entrusting them to you now."

Valerius questioned, "Why now?"

Gellert replied, "I've witnessed your capabilities, and I want you to be independent, to operate with your own strength. Nurmengard was built for my purposes, and it may not align with your vision."

Valerius suggested, "Why not make Nurmengard my base of operations?"

Gellert elaborated, "Britain is the heart of the wizarding world's economic center, with its political power divided into three factions. This sets it apart from organizations like MACUSA and other European magical societies."

Valerius pressed for more information, "Get to the point; this is unlike you."

Gellert smirked and offered an analogy, "You are like a bar of high-quality iron. To shape yourself into a sharp sword, you need both heat and pressure. Britain's current political landscape is the perfect furnace for your transformation."

Valerius pondered his options, thinking of attending Durmstrang or Ilvermorny and gaining control over MACUSA. But Gellert's argument had an impact.

Valerius conceded, "So, I lack political experience?"

Gellert reassured him, "Not at all, Val. It's simply that the current political environments in American, Brazilian, and other European magical schools, except for Hogwarts, won't offer you the best exposure to politics."

Valerius decided, "Alright, Grandfather. I will attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."

Gellert smiled with pride and patted Valerius's shoulder, "I'm very proud of you, Val."

Meanwhile, at the Flamel residence, wizards and witches from around the world gathered at the Flamels' funeral.

Albus Dumbledore,

Newt Scamander,

the prestigious houses of Santos,

Malfoy,Greengrass, Boot, and many others attended.

The Flamel's held a significant place in the history of magic and alchemy.

After a week, Valerius, along with Asher and Celeste, moved to London. Carla, their nine-year-old sister, displayed talent in astronomy, herbology, and magizoology. She had a knack for discovering and classifying magical creatures and herbs. Moving away from the Alps, she was exposed to a broader range of magical creatures and, for the first time, experienced the pain of separation from her brother, whom she cherished.

Back at Hogwarts, Dumbledore's quest for the invisibility cloak yielded no results. He had obtained permission from the French Ministry of Magic to search for the cloak, but had come up empty-handed.

Dumbledore sighed in disappointment, muttering, "Damn you, Nicholas. Your absence has forced me to break a promise."

The staircase began to ascend, carrying Professor Minerva McGonagall, whose Scottish accent was unmistakable. She remarked, "Albus, time is of the essence. The Quills have penned the letters I've signed, and distribution will be completed within a week."

Dumbledore replied, "Good."

Minerva continued, "However, I noticed the Quill writing letters to Isabella's eldest child."

Dumbledore as he was reminded of the prophecy replied "Yes, he's starting at the school this year, but it will be his choice to choose his own school."

Minerva urged him, "Albus, don't you feel any concern? Isabella was a prominent member of our Order of the Phoenix, and it seems like we left her to her fate. Now, her son is on the verge of entering a magical school, and you've shown no interest in his well-being."

Dumbledore recalled the prophecy once more as he stayed silent "You never know, Minerva. Trelawney's prophecy looms large. A significant shift in the wizarding world is on the horizon. The boy with the white hair, born to a mother with the same distinctive feature, will rise to power and reshape our world. There will be a clash of phoenixes and magic, and the possessor of the 'Stick of Destiny' will inevitably fall. It may appear that I'm indifferent, but I'm working towards a higher purpose in the grand scheme of things."

Minerva hearing silence, "Alright, reflect on yourself. I have a seventh-year class to attend."

Dumbledore sighed once more.
