A Father Worry
Noah's anger was already slipping out from the mask of indifference he tried to wear, talking to his brother and his son was making him lose the control, he had always held on to.
His eyes were turning red, his wolf was close to the surface, "You come to my land and you talk trash about my son," staring at the troublemakers directly in the eyes.
Griffin could feel the power of his uncle, his wolf bowed in submission, he couldn't look up at the powerful Alpha, his bones were trembling in fear.
Nathan felt his wolf whimpering in submission but he refused to feel meek to his younger brother, he raised his head in defiance, meeting his gaze.
Nathan's wolf growled, trying to prove he was not afraid of him, Noah was trying to control his wolf from tearing into his brother's throat.
This was exactly the reason Noah hardly visited his brother, his jealousy has made him unbridled and less caring towards his own family.
The aura of power swelled high in the air, suffocating with pure Alpha authority, poor Griffin could only murmur in his mind, unhappy he was being caught in between two Alphas.
Suddenly, the door opened with a loud bang, startled by the sound, all attention went to the person standing by the door.
Richmond walked into the room less concerned about the two irritating wolves that were his family, unfortunately.
Richmond was only here for his father, it's only much he knew his father could take, his father's wolf was already on edge and a little more push could make his father snap, he didn't want his father to lose face in front of undeserving dogs.
Richmond forced a fake smile on his face, "Uncle, I wasn't expecting your visit, maybe I would have organized a small party for you, it's not every time an Alpha leaves his pack just to gossip," he said airily.
Nathan became embarrassed, Richmond just implied that he was a busybody, he laughed out to cover his embarrassment, "No Richmond, we heard rumors that you were cursed and we came to warn your father because we were worried for your fate, for you Richmond,"
"Yes that is true," Griffin added but his head was still lowered, he couldn't look up at his cousin, Richmond possessed an imposing aura that intimidated him, even when they were kids, Richmond would ignore him or snarl at him when he tries to come close, although he hardly come close to Richmond.
Richmond scoffed, he could sense the lie that rolled easily out of his uncle's mouth, "Cousin, I heard you give the most annoying speech today about your mate and it warmed my heart,"
Richmond smirked, the side of his mouth slightly tilted higher, "You sit down and brag about your mate because that's the only thing you can ever achieve in your worthless life, go back and take care of your mate, I will worry about my fate,"
The tip of Griffin's ears became red from shame.
Facing his Uncle, Richmond said, "Uncle, I don't need your worries, I am capable of taking care of myself, you seem to forget the fact that I run the world's largest game company, if I can take care of a company like that, Imagine my life?
Nathan's mouth dropped in shock, this was the first time Richmond had ever spoken to him apart from Good Day uncle, he thought to himself.
Richmond's hands were itching to punch the two irritating people, he just wanted to plant his fist on his cousin's face, but he didn't want his father to lose face.
Griffin shifted uncomfortably in his seat, with the way Richmond was looking at him, he knew it was because of Uncle Noah that he was still in one piece, left for Richmond, he would have been on the floor, clutching his stomach in pain.
"Both of you leave my territory, right now," Noah said angrily.
The smiling mask Nathan wore on his face, fell revealing the jealousy inside, "Your territory! As if, if not for our father I would have been the Alpha, not you brother,"
Nathan hated his brother so much for taking away his position, he was supposed to be the Alpha of the Creek land pack, and that was his right as the first son, not his younger brother.
Richmond felt giggles rising from inside as the words came out from his uncle's lips, "For good reasons obviously, no respectable Alpha listens to worthless gossip, then, based on the gossip you heard, you came to our territory to share the worthless gossip you heard, you should have been the Alpha truly," he openly mocked his uncle.
Nathan was red with embarrassment, "Is this how you raised your son, to mock me?
"If you don't leave now, I won't be blamed for what will happen to you two," leave, Richmond said threateningly, baring his teeth at them.
Nathan was too stunned to move.
"Let's go, Father," Griffin urged his father out of the room, the scent of his fear permeating all over the room.
Noah could finally relax as the unwanted visitors left the premises, he slumped down on his chair, his heart filled with worry for his son, "I don't know what to do son, we have done all we could, invited numerous witches, prayed, fasted, yet the curse still prevails, all my fault," he said in despair.
Richmond knew what his father truly wanted, to see his grandkids before he died, it wasn't going to happen even with modern technology, he wouldn't be able to pass on his werewolf heritage, there was simply no hope for him.
Noah was lost in his world of worry, Richmond wished he had followed his instincts, he would have made his uncle and his stupid son pay for making his father worried and upset.
Richmond sighed, his chest feeling heavy, he tapped his father on his shoulders, "I am your son's father, I am not weak just cursed, I can fight my battles on my own."
"But that is what baffles me, I can see you are strong and can handle everything on your own but there is a limit you can handle son, it won't be long before we start hearing the sound of battle at our doorstep son, as the Alpha and also your father, I am worried for you," Noah said sadly.
Richmond smiled, "Let them come then, I will be waiting, I am going to hit the gym for some time, make sure you don't miss me much, Old man," he said lightly, suddenly changing the topic.
Noah shook his head in disbelief as Richmond strode out of the room nonchalantly, "this crazy child," he exclaimed.
Noah stretched his body, and some bones made cracking sounds, I should also hit the gym, he thought, "Wait for me, son," he called, knowing that Richmond would hear him no matter the distance.
