Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: New family and raising mysteries

Chimwemwe's POV

Now here I was with my new aunt in the kitchen as she was looking for something to put together the cablets while I was being lifted by her tail and it must be really strong to hold me up like this with no difficulty.

"Hey auntie." I called out to her which startled her as she jumped and her grip on me with her tell was let got causing me to fall but she caught me fast.

She looked at me her eyes full of surprise and glee which was weird because from what I know most two-year-old children could speak.

"Chicky did you just speak?" She asked me.

"Yep?" I answered in a confused tone.

"Oh, thank god I was so worried." She sighed as she began to hug me in her chest much to my embarrassment. She then placed me down and I thankfully I could already properly stand and walk. "Mama is going to happy to her this." She whispered raffling my hair.

I couldn't help but smile at her happiness guess it's true what they say sometimes happiness was contagious. Her tail was wrapping around me and some of its fur tickled my nostrils and caused me to giggle a bit. But I noticed when she said mom, she meant her mother or my grandma in this world.

"Where's my mama and dad?" I asked and her eyes went wide and tears began forming a little in her tears and she quickly wiped her eyes fast.

"Y-your mama and dada a-a-are..." She struggled to finish the sentence and was falling to put herself together. Before I could tell her that it was fine, she put on a strained smile. "You'll see them soon Chimwemwe but don't worry you will be crushing with Auntie Minerva for the mean time." She told me.

"Okay!" I faked the whole innocent act and so I drooped the topic as I put two and two together where they possibly were and something told him he won't be seeing them at all.

She than just decided to grabbed some yogurt from the fridge and poured it into a bowl. She used her tail to once again pick me up and carried me to the living room. After we both sat down with me on her lap, she and switched on the TV put on a family friendly movie. She began carefully feeding me while watching the movie the yogurt maybe to distract me from my questions.

Third person POV

Minerva had looked at her nephew as conflict ran through her head, as she knew was eventually going to start asking questions but she didn't think it would be this early. She hasn't even started making a plan on how she should break the news to him.

'Oh, Alinafe I wish you left me with a manual to help me out a little.' She sighed as she didn't pay attention to where her hand was moving to his face, so she got some yogurt on his cheeks.

"Hey!" He yelled at her as she chuckled at her mistake and whipped it off him.

"Sorry about that Chicky." She said sheepishly and she heard a knock on her door. "I be back little man don't break anything while am gone." She then left the living room to the front door.

She sniffed the air to tell who I was and smiled when she recognized the scent. She opened the door revealing an African woman a slightly taller than her with amber eyes, afro hair and she had a lion's ears and tail. She wore white blouse tucked in jean, a black blazer, black shoes and diamond shaped earrings. She looked younger than she appeared but she was actually 44 years old.

"Hey mum good to see you." Minerva greeted the woman Infront of her with a smile.

"Hello cub." She greeted back crossing her arms and smiled at her.

"You know mum you should have called telling me you were coming over I could have prepared something for you." Minerva told her.

"Oh, my since when did you get so thoughtful Minerva." Her mother smirked slightly and raised an eyebrow.

"Hey at least am trying aren't I." Minerva huffed at her causing her mum to chuckle a bit.

"So, where's my grandson?" she asked looking around a bit.

"Oh, he's in the living room. Oh, and before I forget mum Chimwemwe actually spoke today." The news got her mothers eyes to widen in relief and exactment.

"Really?" She asked her daughter which she nodded.

The two of them than walked to the living room where the spotted Chimwemwe with a finished yogurt bowl and using the remote with his little hands to surf through the channels. Now as the grandmother looked at her grandson, she got a slight pain in her chest as he made her think of her late eldest daughter and son-in-law.

"Chicky come say hie to your grandma." Minerva got Chimwemwe's attention making him face them and his eyes widen when he looked at his mentioned grandma. He than carefully got down from the coach and walked over be it wobblily towards her and she picked him up.

'This it my grandma she looks way too young and yo it that a lion's tail and ears but then again I am in an anime world. Fucking 42-year-old women can look like 10-year-old girls.' Chimwemwe thought to himself as he looked at her curiously. "Hey gran." He greeted with a smile causing her to beam in happiness.

"Oh, my you really can speak!" She slightly glee as she through him up and down to which he giggled but in reality, he was actually very embarrassed about the whole thing.

'Sweet Jesus it's going to be really hard to act like a toddler why couldn't I be brought back at the between the ages of seven and nine or something.' He thought but at least he wasn't a full-blown baby.

Sometime later.

The two women were in the kitchen as each with some tea in hand while Chimwemwe was busy on the TV screen in the living room thinking about what might have happened to his parents in this reality.

"I don't know what to do ma." Minerva told her mother while messaging her head.

"So, he started asking questions about his parents already huh." Her mother sad in deep thought.

"Yeah, I figured I had a few good five years left before he starts asking but not this soon. Am not ready and when he asked, I gave him such a dumbass answer. Mum I don't know what to do." She sighed prompting her mother to put her hands or claws on her daughters.

"Don't worry cub I'll be there with you when you tell him but itself to tell him sooner than later and, in the meantime, I'll help you in raising him anyway I you can especially when it comes to telling him the truth." She reassured her and Minerva smiled in appreciation.

The two went to the living room again and found the boy having a cat nap on the coach.
