Another year has passed since and am currently and I Chimwemwe Caçar was stuck in a nursery school. The class wasn't very chaotic as the teachers actually did have a good handle on the children. Guess this really was one of those good nurseries because from my memories in the previous life I did visit nurseries to pick up my niece and it looked like a paint tornado hit the room. Currently I was sitting by a table on in the nursery reading a coding book for dummies.
Now Aunt has started trusting me with electronics now and she's comfortable leaving me alone to use her tablet and laptop on my own. Now I found out that the top heroes and while they were pretty impressive most of them would be ranked much lower in other countries. I wasn't trying to be a critic but that was literally what was said online.
I also found out more on the country's history. During the time quirks started appearing tensions between Tanzania and Malawi were high as they argued over ownership of lake Malawi. Nobody knows who started firing first but it led to a war between the two countries. Malawi was losing bad and so I acquired the help of Zambia which it had good relations with.
With the emergence of quirks, the fighting got worse as people were getting never before seen powers. The other countries in the continent stepped in to end the conflict before it spread through the whole Africa. Later the three countries become one after a series of treaties and meetings. The common language spoken here are English, Chichewa and Thumbuka as there were the only languages shared in the nations but. Am pretty sure I was a bitch to make those three the main languages but most stuck to English because it was easily universal.
"Man again." I sighed annoyed as I was getting sudden shocks through my body the whole day it was starting to get irritating.
"Hey Chimwemwe!" I heard two people calling me and saw two kids my new age running towards me.
First was one being not your typical African kid as he had somewhat of an elephant's head and was on the chubby side. His name was Matthew Nguzu.
The next was an adorable African girl wearing nice clothes and had short with dark smooth hair reaching her shoulders, most particular blue eyes which wasn't. Her name was Suwi Sosala. You can say that they were my friends here.
I met Matthew when I was just hanging just about six months ago. At that point most kids stayed away from me due to the fact when some cliché bullies came around, I always put them in their place because I mostly exercised with my aunt but I mostly. So, I was killing sometime on the monkey bars as a form of exercise when I saw three kids surrounding him.
Now Matthew has been the chubby kid which was prime target for bulling. Now if y'all are wondering if I saved him from bullies than no. Kids here are really rough so those types of scenarios happen often. But I met the guy during lunch time and they were giving out special cupcakes that day and the he wasn't fast enough to get some so I gave him mine to get him to stop crying.
After that Matthew gave me a big hug and thanked me while crying. I just gave him an awkward back Pat guess he really liked those cupcakes. So yeah, after that the next day he gave me some sweets as a thank you. He was a good dude and he just sort of stuck by me which I was cool with guess no one he's age was ever that nice to him before.
Next was Suwi who I met about four months after hanging out with Matthew. Kids started to develop their quirks and I Matthew as you guessed it got a mutant quirk giving him and elephant head which made his bulling situation worse. I was there with him at school to keep things from happening but I didn't know what happens to him outside that. But he just said he was alright.
So anyway, I was stuck in class talking to the teacher after the letter she was giving a me talk about being more social. After she send me off and I saw Matthew sitting on the ground holding a cookie and Suwi squatting next to him.
I asked what happened and Matthew told he saw some kids playing heroes and villains and they were getting to rough with a boy so he wanted to help. But it ended backfiring on him as he was declared the final villain which the heroes should stop. But before it could get worse Suwi showed up and got him out of that situation and gave him a cookie to make him feel better.
About two days later I was paired with her in some joint exercise which went on for about four days was supposed to teach us about teamwork or something. But anyway, after that we since we were spending so much time during learning time and since we got alone, we became friends. After I properly introduced her to Matthew, he seemed a little too excited.
"Yeah." I responded. Though still didn't talk very much because I can't properly pull of the little kid act so I was mainly passive.
"I got my quirk!" Suwi said excitedly.
"Really what is it!?" I asked her really curious in what power she had. She just smirked and she showed me which was covered in what seemed like substance.
"Wow that's pretty cool!" I praised her which made getting her huff in pride. Someone other kids gathered around the table and started to be in awe at her quirk.
"Wow Suwi!"
"That's awesome!"
"You'll definitely become a pro hero with a quirk like that!"
"I wish I had a quirk like that!"
The teacher came by to see what the commotion was all about and she saw Suwi hand and gasped and took a closer look at it.
"Amazing Suwi I guess it was expected for a famous fashionista's daughter to get such a dazzling quirk." She congratulated her and patted her head but then we went on with our usual activities but the jolts through my body were a pain the ass.
Knock off time
I was just by the parking lot waiting for my aunt to pick me up with Suwi and Matthew also there were security guards around to make sure we were safe. I heard some kids telling their parents about Suwi quirk and how they wanted something like hers.
"Man, they're still talking about your quirk Suwi." Matthew pointed out.
"Well, it is pretty amazing." Suwi bragged a bit. "Bet when you get yours mine will still be better." She taunted me. Though she was a little boastful she was still nice but for some reason liked to get in my face sometimes.
"Yeah, shiny rocks as a superpower real hard to compete with." I said sarcastically joked which got stick out her tongue at me.
"Your just jealous because I have a quirk and you don't." She huffed and pouted.
"Meh whatever." I shrugged causing her to glare adorably at me.
"You're a big meanie!" She yelled at me as I pretended to ignore her which ticked her off.
"Chimwemwe please stop making fun of her." Matthew said taking her side like he usually does when she was around getting me to row my eyes at him
"Simp." I called him and he just looked at me in confusion.
"What does that mean?" He asked which got me to chuckle a bit.
A white Hyundai Tucson suddenly pulled up and a beautiful black woman came out. She had brown eyes; hair braided in two pony tails. She wore one of those stylish women work outfits.
"MAMA!" Suwi ran to her face full of excitement and hugged while Mrs. Sosala just raised her eyebrow in amusement at her daughter's behavior
"My baby what got you this exited to see me?" She asked her she lifted her up and Suwi just giggled and made her arm diamond like shocking. "Oh, my what a beautiful quirk you have but than again you are my daughter after all. You'll father will love this." She said hugging her.
"Y-you think so?"
"Of course, Suwi but have to go to the hospital to get it checked out first."
"Okay!"
As that was going on I decided to spin my book on my finger to relieve my boredom while striking up a conversation with Matt about some new cartoon he saw yesterday but jolt hit me again. I noticed than my aunt's car pull up and that was my cure. Before I could say goodbye to Matt, she came out of the car stretching and grumbling to her herself than walked over to me.
"Damn traffic why is it always packed." She said not caring about her language while other parents just looked at her in disapproval.
"Why don't you just run here you have super speed." I suggested to her.
"Trust me Chicky I would if I could or was still allowed too." She said than noticed Matt beside. "Oh, hello Matthew how have you been?" She greeted him with a smile
"O-oh I-I've been okay." He replied bashfully.
"That's good. Alright little man lets go." She said and I was about to follow her when Mrs. Sosala walked over to us Suwi in hand.
"Hello there Minerva. Boys." Mrs. Sosala greeted her us with a smile.
"Hello Jemima." She greeted back. They had officially met over a month ago and became acquitted with each other about a month ago when it was one of those special days when parents come by to watch the kids' activities.
"H-Hello Mrs. Sosala/Hello Mrs. Sosala." Matthew and I greeted back.
"Sorry to make this brief but Minerva my husband is having a special party in two weeks and I wanted to ask you if you would to come? I would have called you but you seemed to changed your number." She asked her.
"Um I'll see I am busy that day if not then I'll do it but I." She answered.
"Great you could even bring Chimwemwe along!" She seemed glad about something but I just shrugged it off.
After me and aunt said our goodbyes, we hit the road. We just stayed in comfortable silence while enjoying some music in the car. We just made a quick detour to the supermarket to get some stuff.
"Hey Chicky can you grab some one liter from the freezer." She told me and I walked over to the freezer containing the grape juice.
Suddenly the electric shocks got worse and I felt them spread through my hand. When I grabbed the grape juice blue sparks of electricity shot from my hand and short circuit the bulbs of the freezer. I felt someone grab me quick and move for cover as all I saw was a quick blur in the movement causing to panic panicked and looked up and saw I was just my aunt. The bulbs in the freezers all exploded scaring and lot of people as the ran for it.
"Well little man looks like you just awoken your quirk." Auntie pointed out. "I hope I don't have to pay for all that." She cringed at the damage.
