Chapter 10 - Chapter 9: More Kidnapping cases and Country's solution

Chimwemwe Pov

"At least I know am getting stronger with this." I said to myself as I finished magnetically controlling the iron bars and wiped the sweat off my head. "Man, when I get my wonder what there talking about in there but whatever I'll find out eventually but for now." I began practicing my electric control.

Blue lightning danced around my body a little and I had to keep it from discharging everywhere and causing a short circuit in the gym. I began to compress the electricity in a single point in my left hand until it was in a ball shape, the tricky part was keeping it together which I had to do via an electric magnetic field but it wasn't too difficult.

"Wow bro, it looks like Pikachu's electro ball from Pokémon but blue." I observed the ball full of electricity floating on my hand I put in more volts of electricity in it and it got denser.

"Please don't throw that in here." I heard Matilda's voice and I saw all the three adults were out of the room. "I appreciate my gym being stable when it comes to the electrical department."

"Sorry about that." I just reabsorbed the lightning into my body and used my magnetic abilities to float all the iron bars back in their previous placement.

"Damn kid looks like you got a good handle on your quirk there." The man said and I just shrugged my shoulders. "Hm it's really like you're old man's."

"Um what."

"Um well kid I'm your uncle from your dad's side." When he said I was shocked and looked at Auntie for confirmation and she nodded.

"Yeah, Chicky this is Jason Mvula your father's brother." She introduced him and he was just rubbing the back of his head waving at me.

"Um cool nice to meet you I guess but where have you been all this time." I asked him.

"That's it I was expecting more of a reaction but to answer your question I was outside the country for a while." He explained. I didn't meet my previous life's mom's brother till I was 10 so this wasn't a big deal to me.

Auntie than explained that the reason he was back was because he was had business to attend to and he will also be helping around the gym so we will be seeing him a lot. I didn't get a chance to speak to him more as Auntie got another call and said we had to go. She was really getting busier these past few days so I didn't question it.

After she dropped me home, she told me that she'll be back around seven and if I get hungry there was food in the fridge. After she left, I was in my room looking at my phone as I was about to play the recording. Honestly, I felt pretty damn silly for doing that, I mean for all I knew there were just catching up and talking about some stuff they thought was inappropriate for an eight-year-old but my curiosity got the better of me especially how serious Auntie and Matilda looked,

"Well here goes." I than began listening to the recording and I was stumped to what I was hearing. From the reveal of the terrorist group, a thing called the three families, the mystery of my parents' death, Takhar and apparently my aunt and uncle have some history to gather. "Damn things just got more complicated." I was processing everything. What did Takhar and Kujitenga have anything to do with my parents' death, I now know my newly revealed uncle has a tying's Takhar.

I began to search online on anything about all these groups. I found more info on Kujitenga and apparently there were a terrorist group which wanted to separate Tanzania and make it independent again but they said to be destroyed some years ago by a combination between the heroes and military but something told me that wasn't the case. Next was Takhar, all I could find was that was basically a secret black ops organization which helps keep the peace in Nyasaland, while for the three families it was just multiple conspiracy theories.

"Man, things just got more complicated." I sighed and laid on my bed.

A week later

"Come on Chimzey you know I couldn't let those guys keep on bulling that girl." Matthew said as I just looked at him rolling my eyes. We were at the park today playing some football with some other kids when Matthew noticed some kids bulling someone and so he jumped in and try to stop them.

As you guessed it didn't go well for him so I stepped in and got them to back off. He wasn't that hurt but still had some bruises and dirt on him since I didn't have anything to help him out with, so we headed to his house and get him patched up.

"Look I don't want to sound like an ass but why?"

"Cause that's what a hero would do." He said with passion placing his hands on his chest.

"Well at least start going to the gym and get yourself in shape if you're going to do stuff like that man." As we were continued on the road, we reached his neighborhood and surprisingly there was no villain attacks today which was weird because they happened a little frequently around here.

Matthew place was a little small but still a moderate house which was comfortable for living and all. After we got inside, we were greeted by his mom who was in the living room and after she saw her son's condition, she ran to get some medical supplies to treat him.

"Matthew what happened I thought you went out just to play football." She asked him as she patched him up. "I was stopping some bullies in the park." When he said that Mrs. Nguzu just looked at me for confirmation and just had my hands in my pockets and nodded and she just sighed.

"Honestly Matthew can you please stop getting into fights I hate it when you come home like this." She sighed as she finished patching him up and then turned at me. "I take it that you helped him again thank you."

"No problem, Mrs. N." I said giving a small thumbs up.

"By the way Matthew have you seen your brother anywhere he isn't returning any of my calls." She asked him which he just frowned. "Well, how about I fix you boys a little something to eat." She then went off to the kitchen.

I hang out a little at the Nguzu house but it was time to go, Mrs. Nguzu offered me a ride but I said it was fine. After I bid goodbye to Matthew and his mom I went on my way and as I walked, I began to think about the events of the past week.

For starters I did see my uncle around the gym as I went there to work out and he was honestly a cool dude. He put effort to get to know me and it was nice talking to a male family member, he seemed to want to fix his relationship with auntie but she barely gave him the time of day which result in weak teasing getting a more irritable reaction from her. Guess it was better than nothing for him.

That whole thing about that terrorist group Kujitenge having to do with my parent's death though was still fresh on my mind and I couldn't ask aunt or Jason about it either. It was weird how I was stressing about that when I never met them but something in me just wanted to know.

As I walked through the dusty road of the neighborhood, I noticed a man talking to a kid around my current age, now this wouldn't be a problem if the kid didn't look scared and uncomfortable. I could have ignored this but thanks to the recording I know kidnapping were becoming more of an issue especially around here. I looked around and so most of the hood was clear so there weren't that many people around or no hero I could talk too, calling the police would be the best option right now but he the man forcefully grabbed the kid and he looked like he was screaming but there was no sound at all. He than finally saw me and his eyes were begging for help as the man gave me a warning look as he dragged the kid away to not get involved.

'Is he a part of Kujitenge? They are a prime suspect of the kidnaps according to uncle J in the recordings. Dammit even if I called the police, they won't make it in time.' I thought and than through a dumb impulse I trailed him a little. It was a dumbass move but maybe it will give me more of an insight to Kujitenge but it got too dangerous am bailing.

I turned to the intersection and saw him and three other men putting two other kids in a van and by closer inspection they seemed like street kids. It made sense though no one really cared much what happened to them plus no one would really file a missing child report. 'Yeah, maybe I should call 911 for this.'

Suddenly I felt a hand cover my mouth and forcibly shove me to the ground hard.  I saw the person clearly and it was the man I saw nabbing the first one kid.

'How the hell did he sneak up on me?' I thought as he struggled in his grip, I was still a child so my physical wasn't all that. 'I have pretty good hearing so this guy must have a quirk which makes negates sound.'

"You should have minded your own business kid." He said menacingly. "Hey boys looks like we can make room for another one." He said as the three other men came by.

"Hm, he doesn't look like a street kid." One with a porcupine appearance said.

"Yeah, but he knows our faces so he's likely report to the police of what he saw." Another with greasy pimples all over his face the other two I couldn't see clearly due to the angle I was.

"Load him in the van." After I heard that I decided to stop screwing around and released an electric discharge shocking all four men.

"AHH!!!" I heard there screams and the one with the silence quirk let me got as the electricity coursed through his body. After I was done, I was surprised to see three of them were still standing, two who had an armadillo shell on their back and the other was the pimple faced man who looked like he took a significant amount of damage "You should have done the kid!" One of the armadillo men grabbed threw a punch at which I dodged and I tried shocking him with electricity but it still didn't work much but at least it was working a little.

The other one tried helping his brother or something but none of them where remotely as quick and auntie so I easily avoided their attacks. Physical attacks won't help here much so best I should escape fast and actually call the police before things get really bad. So, I flung electricity to the ground covering them with sand hopefully blinding them a little but enough for me to escape but before I could run a greasy tentacle whipping my check hard and flinging me to the ground.

It was the pimple guy he had a tentacle coming out of two of them. "That's so fucking disgusting man." I gagged at his site and he actually offended. "Like I care what a spoiled kid like you thinks." He snarled a little.

The two armadillo brothers began spin dashing and tried knocking me all over the place. Dodging them was becoming more and more difficult as they were gaining more and more momentum, plus the pimple guy wasn't giving me a chance to escape. Their attacks began land and did I was flung all over the road and it hurt like hell, I managed to twist my body and use one of the armadillos as leverage into the air. I made two electro balls and flung them at the pimple guy but the armadillo brothers covered him blocking my attack as the two tentacles shot at me but I was faster.

Much to my disgust and pain I grabbed them causing my arms to bleed and discharged a high number of volts of electricity through the tentacles to the man and he screamed in pain. The armadillo roll spin dashed towards me to stop my attack but dodged used one of them as leverage a kicked the pimple man really hard in the face that a few of his teeth came out and unleashed more electricity over 3 million volts by estimate.

"Oh chirst." I said as I was I a daze as that last attack fried my brain a little, but at least the guy was completely fried his pimples seemed to have popped letting out ooze. 'O-oh f-fuck d-d-id I kill him.' I thought recovering from the attack. "Weird for some reason I don't feel bad. Maybe because the electricity got to the part of my brain that processes empathy." I joked to myself and the armadillo brothers just looked in shock at what I did. Seeing they were distracted I pushed past the daze of my previous attack and began feeling any traces of iron sand in the ground around the area with my electromagnetism.

"This kid Kujitenge would really make use of some one like him." One of them smirked creepily at me.

"Well said brother and he looked like that last attack really took a lot out of him finishing him off will b-." He didn't finish his sentence as a good chunk of iron sand wrapped around him and his brother or something covering them to their heads. "What the hell is this!!" He screamed as him and his brother tried to break out of the trap.

"Fuck this was tiring." I said getting my get back wiping some blood off my nose. My clothes were dirty and my shirt a little torn and my body hurts from taking those constant spin dashes and wipes. I looked around and the dirt road was more of a mess yet somehow the heroes or police didn't get called in with all this commotion and the van seemed to be a little though it had some dents on it. 'Okay this two have some good electric resistance but I can still hurt them with my abilities since armadillo armor is made of keratin but the two of them seem to have a little extra something in them increasing their durability.' I thought as I wanted to electrify them for answers but that would take at least a million volts worth of electricity. "But." I than gave them a million-volt worth of electricity and they did actually scream in pain but still conscious.

"Y-Y-o-u l-little d-devil." One of them said in utter agony.

"Ha pay back feels amazing." I smirked at least I know that 3 million volts is my limit for now. "Now than you guys mid telling me why your kidnapping kids."

"Go to hell kid do really think ARGH!!" He was interrupted by me using the iron sand I covered them up with making sharp long needles to stab the two of them in their knees and shock them as a finisher.

"So, this is the place the battle was happening?"

"Yes, mister hero people said they loud sounds of people screaming and lighting that's why they ran away!" I heard someone say and of course help actually arrives when its all over. So, I left the scene a little unsatisfied that I didn't get a little info on Kujitenge.

"Fuck I really need a place to rest and get patched up I hope have good thing I have enough money for a ride to the gym"

End of POV

At the gym

Jason was just finishing putting some equipment in their rightful places as the gym had closed at early three o'clock today. "How much did Mati really save up to get and upgrade this place." He finished his work. He had spent a week helping out here and crushing with Matilda but any insight on his investigation wasn't going that great. The villains he was catching don't seem to know a thing and the same could be said for the small-time crooks and the only lead he had was that homeless kids seemed to be getting kidnapped.

Despite his work not going so well he was glad he was spending some time with his last remaining family. He was worried his nephew wouldn't be found of him much but they got along just fine he remembered him saying 'it was nice to talk to another male in the family', he reunited with his mother-in-law the stern lioness was just gave him a big hug saying she was glad he was safe and back but then pinched his cheeks hard warning him about pulling his disappearing acts.

Minerva though barley gave him the time of day but he wouldn't blame her as he just ran off after his brother and sister-in-law's deaths abandoning all the plans they had together. At least she spoke to him a little even though most of the time it was when he lightly teased her leading to a more irritable reaction.

"Better than nothing." He sighed to himself than he heard the gym door open. "Sorry my guy we're closed for today." He turned and saw his slightly jacked-up nephew. "The hell?" He raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"Hey uncle J mind getting me some first aid and not tell auntie about this." Chimwemwe said with a sheepishly.

Elsewher

Mutale Sosala was currently in a position he could only dream of; he was in a meeting with some of the most important groups in the country. The some from political figures to the heads of the hero commission and he was certain some of heads of the three families were here. He had worked hard for years to get this far sure he wasn't the biggest name in this group and he was only here as an extra but it was close.

The attack eight years ago had really put his company in a bad position as some of the kids which weren't rescued in time belonged to highly influential people leading to a whole mess. Sure, they managed to get things under control but still a huge some of money was lost. He was ashamed to resort to a desperate and drastic strategy of using his daughter's quirk. With the right amount of carbon and a lot of time she can produce some high-quality diamonds which they sold through to get the right quirk teacher and highly concentrated carbon minerals was a hassle the end result was worth it.

He had pushed his daughter hard much to the disapproval of his wife but as much as he didn't enjoy it this was to get them back on track. Even though the amount she produced still wasn't all that and for her to make a permanent diamond still took a lot of effort it was at least good enough.

"As we all know our country been facing a lot of economic problems over the years." A man who was the Chairperson of the meeting said. "Kujitenge is slowly raising from the ashes, crime rate is slowly increasing again, and there have been reports of increase in kidnappings over time." He narrated.

"Yes, it's truly troubling especially that our country is a little behind when it comes to the technical and hero department." Another man said. "Hm most who have potential quirks have been going to other countries and becoming heroes there."

"Same goes for other departments really especially when it comes to our science and technology. You know I once heard that the number one hero school in Japan U.A using fighting robots as its entrance exams while most if not all of ours are just at best a hard P.E exam. It just shows how behind we are in so many areas." Now Mutale knows a thing or two about U.A high school which like who didn't it was one of the best hero schools in the world and were the number one hero of the world All might studied.

He understands his country was behind in most aspects compared to most of the world but to bring U.A or Japan as whole was a bit much.

"That's why a solution has been brought up." The chairman said and the projector lit up showing five shadowy pictures. "My I present project pillar. This is an experiment we had ideas of working on where we find five individuals with high potential quirks and train them to the fullest with our state-of-the-art facilities"

"So, you find five people and train them to become heroes then."

"Not just heroes but their quirks will benefit the country as a whole in areas like its economy also they but also they will be a source of inspiration to the people through their deeds. We already have three perfect applicants for this project but finding the last two potential applicants is where we're finding difficulty." The chairman sighed there weren't a lot of good quirks here in Nyasaland.

As the other were discussing within themselves Mutale was very deep in thought the pillar project. From what he was getting it will involve getting five people or children and train them up to become the best heroes for the country not just in saving people but also in matters concerning the economy. They will also act like beacons of light inspiring of the citizens of the country to not just become heroes of there land but also help in its development.

He nodded to himself and spoke up. "Excuse me I know I don't have much say but I have two very possible potential candidates for this experiment." He said and they just looked at him. "Very well Mr. Sosala who might they be?" The chairman asked. "My daughter Suiw Sosala her quirk lets her gather carbon and compress them into diamond." This got most of the people's eyes to widen at such a rare quirk in the country. "Next is a boy named Chimwemwe Caçar."

A man and woman's eyes widened when they heard that name.
