Alex turned towards the area the explosion came from. Before he could ask anything Owlman jumped into the owl mobile. Alex quickly followed him.
"That came from the Gamma's Gold depository."
"A bank robbery? Awesome I've never busted a bank robberies. Let's do this!"
"First we will scout it out from above. Be prepared. I'll have the seats launch into the air. Should launch us about thirty feet straight up. Unbuckle now." He said as he drove at full speed through cars running away. He then pushed the red button that Alex tried to push. Before Alex could think he was launch straight into the air. It was actually about 40 feet. Alex activated his skill that allows him to run on air. As he was looking for Owlman he saw his grapple shoot by him and strike into the banks building. He looked below an saw the Owl mobile continue forward without help. It turned down a alley and disappeared.
He ran towards the building after Owlman and saw him watching through the window. He joined him.
He saw over 9 gun men with weapons. Luckily there was no hostages since the bank was already closed at this time of night. However he saw a old companion. It was Firebird and his two hooded accomplices. Well he didn't really know if it was them or not since they were hooded. They were in a separate room with the vault. They were looting the smaller gold bars and some cash.
"Firebird doing a bank robberies now? He's a small time crook this doesn't make sense. Who is giving him the confidence to do this."
Medic and Owlman started to look harder around trying to spot something out of place.They didn't find anything else other than the two hooded accomplices.
"Maybe the real bosses is the people under the hood?"
"Maybe the only thing we can do now is attack. Let's go." Owlman said and crashed through the window. He threw four Owl dart with pin shot accuracy. Hitting four of the nine gun men. Medic also followed behind him. He used his newly made medic dart and threw them at two more. He could only hit two with okay accuracy. Six down three to go and then firefly and his two hooded men.
Batman landed with a flourish of his cape. Using his cape as a cover he threw three more owl dart in succession. Each hitting their targets and disarming them.
Medic dropped from above on one of them swinging his baton with the skill slash on it. It slammed into the robber gut and ribs with a fleshy sound. He instantly went down. One of the robbers drew a handgun and shot towards batman. The other pulled a medium size knife out of a leg holster and rushed at the medic. Owlman dodge three bullets in a row and punched the man in the face. He flew backwards blood spraying from his face and hit the ground hard. It didn't look like he be getting up.
Medic dodged the knife wielding maniac. He dodged at least six swipes before he got a opening and attacked back. Using his batons like a knife he struck straight forward with the tip and hit him straight in the middle of his chest. He kneeled over in pain and loss of breath. Medic didn't give him a chance to catch it either. He swung his other baton and cracked it in his head. He jerked sideways and fell over slowly like in the movies. With all the gun wielding men down. They rushed into the next room where Firebird and his associates where.
Firebird heard the fighting in the other room. Figuring it was another gang trying to get in on his loot. He powered up his flame shot in his right and left hand turned towards the door waiting for someone to rush throughout. What he didn't expect was for the glass above the door to be shattered and a bat shape man to burst through.
"Owlman but you're supposed to be dead. Killer Lizard said you were dead. He said he saw you disintegrate Infront of him. Along with your side... Who is that?"
"As you can see Firebird I'm alive and kicking"
"I'm your friendly neighborhood medic"
Batman and medic said at the same time.
"No matter I'll make sure you stay dead this time you and your new sidekick!"
"Hey I'm not a sid...ekick" Medic said while dodging a fireball thrown at him. Owlman also rushed forward and dodged the other. Firebird seeing Owlman coming took off into the air with a fiery burst. He kept summoning small balls of fire and throwing at them. Owlman used acrobatics and dart to avoid them. Alex decided to rush straight up using his ability and hit Firebird with his batons. While he managed to land a hit it wasn't the most impressive however it made him lose focus on flying. He fell out of the air and landed before batman. Owlman went to kick him but was shot by one of his hooded accomplices. Owlman jerked back by the bullet and missed his kick.
Medics eyes snapped over to the shooter. Both the hooded men had full bags on their backs and rushed towards the firefly.
"Let's go the The Roman won't like it we're late. He then threw a smoke bomb and a flash bomb.
Owlman and Medic blinded by the flash didn't see them rush out while holding onto firebird. They only saw the trail of flames left behind.
"Damnit they got away " medic said in a aggravated voice.
"Don't worry we know where they are going. Let's head back to the Owl cave and do some surveillance and recon. Let's go"
As he was saying that a bunch of cops broke through the door. They looked like swat and rushed in with weapons drawn. Owlman grabbed Medic by his arm and shot a grapple. They left in a swoosh leaving the swat in a not so surprised flurry. They where used to the Owlman but who was that new hero. Sparrow wore a Blue and red uniform not a dark purple suit with golden fringe.
Medic and Owlman rushed outside they only saw more fiery destruction and lots of police cars. Owlman still holding onto medic shot another grapple into the building where the car went. Pulling Medic with him he was quickly pulled that way. They landed on the building and rushed down to the Owl mobile. They got in and head back towards the manor. It was still night time but they had a new case to investigate and Medic was finally welcomed into the Owl cave.
