Leaving Mt. Moon behind, the group arrives at Cerulean city for their next Gym Badge. Kaori arrives and manages to see a group of Rocket Grunts doing some mischief.
"So, what is our mission again?" Grunt 1.
"The girl you, doofus, we need to find that girl." Grunt 2.
"How long until we can change this mission?" Grunt 1.
"When we complete it, now, stop whining and keep searching." Grunt 2.
The grunts start looking for clues on where "the girl" could possible be, and also make a ruckus in the process.
"Hey both of you!" Kaori.
The grunts turn around and see Kaori and his Pokémon.
"What do you want kid? We're busy." Grunt 2.
"Forget that, look at his Pokémon. I bet the boss will let us out the hook if we deliver them to him." Grunt 1.
"For once, you actually say something smart. Ok kid hand them…" Grunt 2.
"Blaze Kick, Electroweb, Solar Beam and Steel Wing!" Kaori commanded in a flash.
The grunts couldn't react at the fast attacks they received. Chimchar kicked them both, Beedrill trapped them, Bulbasaur started charging his attack, Spearow send them flying, finally, Bulbasaur sniped them while being mid-air.
Behind a store, Green manages to observe the whole scene and gulps.
'I never expected him to be this strong. Thankfully he cleared the road for me, time to make my escape.' Green.
Before Green could escape, Kaori's Beedrill was already in front of her escape route.
"We meet again, Mrs. Trespasser." Kaori.
"Lab assistant, good to see you too. I would love to stay here and chat but, I'm a very busy lady, so goodbye." Green tries to get out of there.
"You leaving without your Pokédex and badges?" Kaori asks while flipping Green's Pokédex and Badge Case.
"Hey! How did you do that."
"Don't worry brunette, I'm just checking what have you caught. Jigglypuff, Squirtle, Wartortle, Clefairy and Nidoran ♀. Quite the team you have, and from the looks of it, you have 2 Badges now." Kaori.
"Yeah, so?"
"Want to battle?"
"Why should I?"
"Because Pokémon battles are fun."
"Right… I believe that those grunts would say otherwise."
"Oh please, they are bad guys and you know it. I only use such methods against bad guys."
"Still, I see no reason to battle you."
"How about one of these." Kaori pulls out a Moon Stone from his pocket.
"Still, nope. I'm not going to battle you, I kept my end of the deal, you keep yours."
"Fine, you are no fun." Kaori pouts and gives Green back her stuff.
"Goodbye Mr. Lab Assistant." Green.
"My name is Kaori."
"Ok, goodbye Mr. Kaori."
"Drop the Mr. you are older than me anyway!"
"Huh?! Excuse me!"
"You are excused. And so am I, bye!!!" Kaori runs away from her after realizing that he Fucked up.
"Come back here Kaori!" Green runs after him.
The entire charade lasts for 3 whole hours until Green gets tired and decides to leaver.
"I better *HUFF* *HUFF* never see *HUFF* *HUFF* you again. Or *HUFF* *HUFF* I'll rip you to shreds!!!" Green declares and then calls Clefairy and Wartortle to help her move to a hotel.
"Dad was right, 'Never call women old or you will face a horrible fate.' Wise words dad, wise words." Kaori then makes his way towards another hotel and rest for tomorrow's gym.
Normally, Kaori would wait some time for his Pokémon to rest but, they have been restless after what happened in Mt. Moon.
Kaori arrived at the gym, after making sure Green was not following him, and entered. The first thing he saw was three women making some kind of show with their water Pokémon.
'I forgot abut this, the three sisters that suck at being Gym Leaders. Well, I guess this will be an easy win.'
Kaori waited for the whole show to be over and challenged the sisters.
"I'm sorry, but we don't have Gym Battles the same day as a performance." Daisy.
"Ok, and when are you free for a battle."
"Tomorrow night from 8 to 10 is the only time we have available."
Kaori was not happy about the situation but leaves the Gym in hopes for his battle tomorrow. Unfortunately for him, he dropped his guard and Green ambushed him.
"So, ready to face some consequences?" Green asks with an evil grin.
"Chimchar, I choose you!" Kaori sends Chimchar to battle Green.
"How about a battle?"
"Fine! But I want 2 Moon Stones for the trouble."
"Deal!"
Green then sends out Wartortle for the battle.
"Only a 1V1, I really have to go from this city."
"Ok."
"Water Gun."
Wartortle enters his shell and starts spraying water in all directions.
'Interesting.' "Dig." Kaori.
Chimchar digs and avoid the Water Gun.
"Hydro Pump on the hole." Green commands.
Wartortle prepares to fill the whole with water.
"Thunder Punch."
Chimchar didn't dig that deep and quickly resurface to strike a Thunder Punch to Wartortle's chin.
The attack connects and Wartortle suffers some backlashes from being interrupted his Hydro Pump. Wartortle fall back and faints.
Green was in awe at how easily she lost against Kaori, who was having a relaxed face.
"Ah! I needed that, I was really stressed up from Mt Moon, thanks Green." Kaori calls Chimchar back and checks Wartortle to make sure he doesn't have any more problems.
"Ok, no problem here blue. Just, let him take a good ol' rest and he'll be fine in no-time."
Green snaps back to reality and take Wartortle back. She then extends her hand to Kaori.
"You forget something?"
Kaori then high-five her and then does the same.
"Not that. The Moon Stones."
"Oh…Why didn't you said so before? Here."
Kaori hands the Moon Stones to Green and then thanks her for the battle.
'Such a weird person. Kindness and naiveness are two different things, yet he is kind but, without being naïve. I'm just overthinking it, better use these stones to evolve Jiggly and Clefy.' Green thought while leaving Cerulean City.
While she was leaving, Kaori was thinking about something.
'Great potential but, lack of actual experience. A real battle is more than just running away from your captors, hope you find your gang of friends Green.' Kaori thought before entering his hotel.
Kaori spent the night talking with the system.
'So, system. Is there anything different about this world that I should be aware of?'

'Fun. Can't wait to have a team full of Delta species.'
'Now that we are talking about key information. Why are the tectonic plates moving? I have no memory of something like this happening before Hoenn.'
[Answer: Lord Wexof decided to create some "events" for you or another protagonist to be part of]
'I see. Now, unto the Hisuian forms. Is there a way to evolve any of my Pokémon into their Hisuian counterpart?'

'Fine, I guess I'll have to find a way to do just that. Tomorrow, Cascade Badge and then, unto Vermillion City.'
Kaori slept in his bed without worries not knowing that he was being observed by a shadowy figure.
