A week later Julia was sentenced to 20 years in prison all together with a possibility of parole after 12 years; none of her family members attended the court hearing from beginning to end, in fact her mother had gone as far as to send someone to tell her, the family disowned her for being such a disgrace. Julia resigned herself to her fate, and she spiralled into depression due to the bullying she received from other prisoners, and because her mother had emptied her bank account, she had no money to pay for nurse care in prison therefore she rarely bathed, and no one visited her.
After 2 months of suffering at the hands of both the prison guard and prisoners she would go on to threaten to go public with the information she had on her auntie who in turn paid some prison guards to ensure she never speaks but be inconspicuous about it. Julia did not survive that year and died in prison just 3 months after her arrest, no one claimed her remains.
