Chapter 40 - Arguments

"What explanation and what thing Carmen?" Cezak said bending his head slightly to the side. "I want to know why there are six chosen ones and not one Cezak" Ms Carmen said massaging her forehead.

He walked away from her and went to sit on a chair not too far from where she was. "Like I said before, they are the successors, no" he paused. "Children of the first chosen one" he said resting his head on the headrest.

"They can't all be the chosen one. There has to be someone special amongst them" she said, getting confused. He chuckled at the way she was behaving and said "They are all special in their own way. He has shared his magic, heart and soul amongst them. A piece of him is in each of them. No matter how anyone tries to make them hate each other, it can never work as they can never feel hatred towards one another. He has said it from the beginning that 'Water shall pour and the chosen ones will come' but with time it was forgotten as no one ever understood it's meaning".

"They are still so young and have a lot to learn. Why did it have to show up now?" she raked her hands through her hair. "Oh God" she breathed out as she placed a hand over her mouth. Cezak just watched as she kept fidgeting.

"I don't want the disciplinary committee to know about them yet" she said and he creased his brows not knowing who the disciplinary committee were. Noticing it she said "I meant the elders. They will make them go through torturous trainings unlike the one we teach them here at school". She brushed her hair to the back and walked over to an empty chair and sat.

"You know that you can't stop fate and destiny from doing it's work" Cezak said, turning to her.

Back at the cafeteria, the girls and the guys still didn't say a thing as they ate lunch in silence. Lucian dropped his spoon on the plate loud enough for Almora and the others to hear. They turned to look at him with questioning eyes but his eyes were on Almora.

"Why did you drop your spoon on the plate like that?" Almora asked with food in her mouth. "Why do I have the feeling that you girls are keeping something from us?" Lucian replied back with a question. "What??" Almora almost choked and quickly grabbed a water to drink.

"What do you mean by 'keeping something from you' Almora said, laying more emphasis on the last phrase. "You girls have been acting different since you woke up from the state you were in" he said. The others were just watching them as they were having a battle with words. Amy rubbed Almora's leg signaling her not to lose her cool and sell them off.

"We've been acting different, really" she scoffed. "What about you? Have you been truthful to us since we woke up?. Let me guess, the answer is no" Almora half yelled, almost losing her cool but Amy kept rubbing her leg. Lucian raised his brow and said "What do you mean by we haven't been truthful to you?".

Their friends just kept eating like there was no argument going on around them. She chuckled and said "You don't know". "When we woke up, we found ourselves in a weird place and we asked you that what happened. But what did you say? that you will tell us later. When we were leaving, Ms Carmen said you would explain what happened and did you?" she asked, bending her head slightly.

"Since we can't trust each other and tell ourselves things. What are we still doing together? I'm out of here" she stood up and left. "We thought you trusted us enough and believed in us but we were wrong" Amy said and also left. "I've nothing to say to you" Stacy also said and followed after Amy and Almora.

"Arggghhh!!" Lucian yelled as he banged his fist on the table. The other students turned their heads to look at him but seeing the rage in his eyes, they quickly turned back and pretended like they saw nothing.

"I know that fate and destiny plays in a tricky way. I'm just protecting them. They're still young and making it known that they are the chosen ones will only bring dangers for them" Ms Carmen said, having a worried face on.

"That's what is going to make them stronger. Without any obstacles how are they going to recognize their strength. Those that are chosen always have dangers at the beginning of their journey but after a while the dangers begin to run from them" Cezak explained.

"They're not going to be told that they are the chosen ones, Not yet" she shaked her head sideways. "I'll do my best to protect them and once I'm sure that they are strong enough to handle it then I'll tell them" she said.

Cezak let out a small laugh. Ms Carmen just ignored it and said "This conversation of ours shouldn't go out of this building". "That's a promise".
