Almora ran up to the roof where she and Lucian always stayed. She leaned on the wall and slid down to the floor crying.
"Where did she go to?" Stacy asked. When they ran after Almora, they had lost sight of her and thought she ran outside. "I don't know. I saw her run in this direction" Amy said pinching the skin between her eyes.
Lucian had also walked out of the cafeteria leaving his friends alone. "We thought what we did will make them say the truth but it only hurt them more" Oliver said, packing his bags and then he stood up. "I'm sure Lucian will go after Almora. Let's go and check Amy and Stacy" Oliver said. Brian also packed his bags and left the cafeteria with Oliver.
Lucian checked all over the school but there was still no sign of Almora. His dark hair was already ruffled. Anyone who was close to him would have gotten shivers due to the cold aura coming from him.
His eyes widened a little as he just remembered something. "I didn't check the roof" he muttered to himself and ran straight towards the roof. When he got there he paused as he saw Almora crying.
He moved closer to her slowly but Almora hadn't noticed his presence. He stretched his hand out to touch her but stopped Midway and withdrew his hand back.
"Ahem!" he coughed so she could notice his presence. She looked up at him. Her eyes were already sore from her crying which made Lucian feel very bad that he made her cry.
"What do you want?" Almora asked, sniffing and cleaning the tears on her face. Lucian still didn't answer and just kept staring at her.
She stood up and started hitting him on the chest, yelling at him "What do you want? What do you want from me?". She kept on hitting him and yelling at him but he didn't move.
He wanted her to let it all out. She had gotten tired of hitting him and just let her body rest on him. "What do you want from me?" she said, crying. Lucian stretched out his hands forward to hug her but paused. After giving it a thought, he finally hugged her.
Almora had already stopped crying and they were both seated on the floor. "Why were you crying?" Lucian asked, glancing at her for a moment and turned back immediately.
"I don't know. I guess I felt bad at the way you were questioning us. It looked like you didn't trust us at all or trust our decisions. You made us look like criminals who were being questioned. It's paining because it's you. It wouldn't have pained me so bad if it was someone else" she explained with a solemn look.
Lucian felt bad that he made her feel like that. He thought he could make them say what they were keeping from them if he probed her that way.
"I'm sorry I made you feel that way. We thought we could make you guys say the truth" Lucian said with a downcast look. "What truth are you talking about?" she asked, confused.
He heaved a sigh and raked his hands through his hair. He sat down with one folded knee up and a leg straight down. "We came to your room and knocked but got no response. We used magic to get in and found Melanie and her friends in there with you guys".
Almora was shocked at what she just heard. 'They saw us together' she said in her mind. She breathed out and said "You'll need to have patience with us Lucian. I can't tell you anything now until the time is right".
He sighed and said "Okay fine. We will wait". Almora turned to look at him and gave him a sweet smile.
"Hey guys" Oliver called out to Amy and Stacy as they approached them. They pretended like they didn't hear a thing and kept walking. Oliver and Brian quickly ran to their front blocking their path.
They moved to pass another way when Brian said "Please listen to what we have to say?". Stacy and Amy looked at each other.
"You have 5 minutes" Amy said turning her face to the side and crossing her arms across her chest. Stacy just had one hand placed on her hips.
Oliver turned to Brian using signs to say who should talk. "Time is ticking" Amy said. They had finally come to a decision and decided that Brian would do the talking.
"Okay" he breathed out. "We're sorry for not trusting you guys and asking you questions like a criminal. It was because". He also began to explain why they started questioning them.
"We would tell you when it's time. For now, nothing can be said" Stacy explained. "It's okay. We will wait, we just don't want to lose our friends" Oliver said, smiling at them.
"We're no longer annoyed but have you guys seen Almora?" Amy asked with a worried look. "She's fine. She's with Lucian as he texted us immediately he found her" Oliver said.
