"Why are you guys staring at me like that?" Almora said. "Almora this means you were unconscious for 3 weeks" Lucian said. "What?? 3 weeks" Almora said, surprised. "What about my mum?" she asked. "She went on a pilgrimage since when you were missing and she's going to be back today" Amy explained.
'How come she went on a pilgrimage when I went missing and I was found before she was back?' Almora thought to herself. "Your phone is right here" Stacy pointed to the table and Almora nodded slightly. "Aren't you guys supposed to be preparing for class?" asked Almora. "We can't leave you alone" said Lucian.
"I'm fine. There's nothing wrong with me and I'm not going to move an inch from here" Almora said. "Promise" he said staring at her. "I promise" she smiled back at him. "Take care, we will be back soon" Amy said and they all left.
Not a short while after they left, Evans came in with flowers in his hands. Almora who was on her phone looked up when she sensed that someone had just entered. "I brought you flowers" Evans smiled at her. "They are so beautiful" Almora gushed at it.
"Beautiful Red roses for a beautiful Red girl" he said. Almora blushed at his statement. "I'm sorry I didn't visit yesterday. I wasn't told till this morning when I saw Stacy and Amy" he apologized. "It's o.." Almora was cut off by a kiss from Evans.
"I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have done that but I'm tired of hiding my feelings. I had always looked for every opportunity to talk to you but you were always with your friends. I finally got the chance to talk to you when I saw you alone at the basketball field. Then we started talking but just for some few days because you went missing. The 3 weeks that you went missing had made me realize what you mean to me. I love you Almora" he confessed his heart feelings to her.
"That's a lot to take in but I'm not in love with you. I just like you as a friend" Almora said although she felt bad. "Why don't you just give me a try? We should try out for a month and if it doesn't work out then you can back out of it" he said, desperately.
"I'm not so sure about that. I don't want it to be a situation whereby you do something rash if I leave you" she said. "I give you my promise, I won't" he said, begging. "Fine, I will do it but you know love can't be forced" she said. "I know. I have to go to class now I'll see you later okay" he gave her a peck on the cheek and left.
"He's crazy" she muttered to herself. "But why do I feel like I'm cheating on someone?" she asked herself. "It's nothing" she shrugged her shoulders and continued replying to comments on her Instagram, Tiktok and YouTube account.
Almora is actually a social media influencer but has never shown her face as her dad is not yet ready to show her to the outside world. No one knows she is the daughter of the owner of CA company. Her phone rang and she picked.
"Hello Ma". "Nazia how are you?" her mother asked. "I'm fine ma. How was your pilgrimage?". "It was fine my love. I went to pray for the well being of you and your brother" her mother said. "I love you Ma" she said, emotionally. "What's wrong Nazia?" Mrs Rencia asked. "Nothing Ma, I'm fine" she said. "If there's anything you know you can talk to me" Mrs Rencia said, worried.
"I know Ma". "Okay then, I have to go now. Bye my love".
"Bye Ma" and the call ended.
Not so long after the call, Almora felt sleepy and drifted off to sleep. Almora found herself in a very dark place. The only light she saw was coming from a person. "Where am I?" she asked herself. "Hello" she shouted out to the person but got no reply.
"Didn't you hear that Almora is back?" Julie said. "Yh I heard already. Should I be crying?" Melanie said, rolling her eyes. "You do know that we are still in trouble" said Becky. "We might get to face the disciplinary committee very soon and that's not so good" she continued. "That's bad, very bad" Melanie said, shaking her head slightly.
"What's the update on the girl?" a person in the shadows asked. "Her powers have become stronger ever since she's been back from the dark forest" another person replied. "Keep your eyes on her. Nothing should go wrong". "You have my word" the other person said and left.
Almora continued to walk towards the person with light whose back was turned. Her heart was racing the more she kept getting closer. She finally got there and slowly touched the person on the shoulder.
The person turned and Almora's eyes sprung wide open in shock and she fainted.
