"It's...it's nothing. I just sprained my ankle, I'm fine," Silvia replied and tried to stand straight. Damn, it hurts!-She thought and her hand instinctly went to her ankle again.
"Are you sure?" Davian asked. She doesn't look fine, he thought.
"Let me help you," he said and held her arms.
"I said I'm fine," she shrugged his hands off.
"I don't need your help," she added and started walking away, limping a little.
He watched as she walked away. Silvia felt a large arm around her waist and suddenly she was lifted up in a bridal style, it was Davian.
Her right hand grabbed his left arm while her other hand held his back, her eyes which were a little widened with surprise, gazed up at him. He didn't look at her and just proceeded in continuing running, searching for a shade.
He finally found one. It was like a small canopy, a bench was under it. He took them under it and sat her down on the bench.
His eyes went to hers as he squatted in front of her.
"Let me have a look," he said and didn't wait for her reply because he knew she would refuse. His hands walked slowly down her bare legs, she was only wearing a gown that ended before her knees.
"Is it this one?" he asked gazing back at her. She just nodded. He removed her heel, his fingers ran across her ankle. It gave her a tingling feeling. Why? Why was he caring for her, right now? Shouldn't he even be laughing at her condition right now?
"It looks pretty stiff. Do you usually get these cramps?" he asked, his grey eyes met her amber ones which were staring intently at him. A confused expression in them as she wondered.
They were so drenched from the rain, some of his hair glued to his forehead, droplets of water hung loosely at the end of some strands of his hair. She had seen his wet hair the other day, why did he look ten times more beautiful this time?
Her eyes shameless went to his thin pink alluring lips, he saw her do it and he also stared at hers. Damn! If she keeps staring at his lips like that, he may not be able to refrain himself from kissing her.
"Earth to Silvia," he jolts her out of her world.
She knocks his hand off of her leg and wore her heel again.
"It's none of your business," she said and looked away. He sighed, this woman-He thought.
"We'll put ice on it when we get home," he said and stood up.
"What? W-What home?" she found herself stuttering.
"I'm taking you to my house," he replied.
"There's really no need for that. I'll call my driver to come pick me up," she objected.
"Ms. Reyes, your driver is also human. It's almost dusk and raining heavily. Let me take you home," he insisted.
"But-"
"I'll go get the car, don't go anywhere," he cuts her off and ran off in the rain, not waiting for her to object again.
In a couple of minutes, the black sports car came to park in front of her. Davian got out of the car and came all around to open the door to the shotgun seat.
She was already in front of him before he turned around to face her. She got into the car, then he shut the door and walked around again. He entered the car and drove off immediately.
They soon arrived at a building. The rain had gradually reduced, they got out of the car after he parked it at the parking lot. He led the way into the building, they climbed up a flight of stairs until they got to a door at the third floor.
He unlocked the door and turned towards her. "Ladies first," he said and she walked in, he turned on the lights immediately.
Her eyes gazed intently at the place. The place was clean and neat and equally pleasant to the eyes. It was a nice cozy homey apartment.
"Make yourself at home," he expressed as he shuts the door.
"I'll prepare us a nice hot bath, so that we won't come down with a cold," he added and walked into a room, shutting the door behind him.
He came out of the room after some while. "You may go in now, I also put some clothes and the things you will need in freshening up, on the bed," he said and she nodded.
She began to walk towards the room.
"Achoo," he sneezed and she halted in her steps.
"Uh, sorry," he said and sniffles.
"It's okay. Bless you," she replied and he smiled.
"I think I'm coming down first," he stated.
"Don't come too close to me if you don't want to-"
"Achoo!" Silvia sneezed almost immediately. He smiled; "We better have that hot bath now," he added and she nodded in agreement.
He walked towards another door and opened it. She watched him until he got in and shut the door, she too also entered the room he'd offered to her. She saw the items he was referring to on top of the bed.
It was two towels, one big and one small one, a new and sealed toothbrush and toothpaste, a comfy pink slippers, a hand dryer and a black short sleeve top gown with pockets, that looked more like a big polo t-shirt. A chilbi version of an anime was designed at the front of the cute black gown.
She opened the door to the bathroom and found a tub filled with hot water. She touched it with her fingers, the temperature was just okay for her skin. She didn't know when a smile graced her lips, could he get any sweeter?-She thought.
She freshened up and wore the gown, it ended inches before her knees. She opened the door and walked out of the room. Davian wasn't in sight, she continued to walk around until she found herself at the kitchen. She found him there, he was wearing an apron as he prepared the things he wanted to use in cooking.
He had also changed into something else, a pair of sweatpants and sweatshirt which was ash in color. His head finally turned towards her acknowledging her presence.
"I can see you're all done," he said and she nodded.
"How's your ankle? Does it still need ice?" he asked.
"No, it's fine now," she replied.
"It looks good on you. The gown I meant," he continued, arranging the tomatoes.
"I wanted to give it to my ex," he added, Silvia's brows creased.
"Don't worry. She never wore it, I never gave it to her. We broke up before I could," he disclosed.
"Why did you guys break up?" she asked after some seconds.
"You don't have to answer, I didn't mean to pry," she notified when he didn't answer her for a while.
"No, no it's okay. She cheated on me," he answered.
'Oh...' Silvia thought.
"Well, it's now in the past. Why don't you come over here princess and join me in making us a delicious dinner," he added, trying to act indifferent towards the earlier conversation.
Her hands brought some hair to the back of her ear. "What?" he asked, grabbing an apron for her.
"What's with that look on your face?" he teased her further.
"I...I don't know how to cook," she said.
