Chapter 22 - Wedding plans

Silvia just arrived at the Reyes' mansion. Her mother called her up for something urgent and she rushed down here immediately.

"Hey, darling. I'm glad you actually came," she saw her mom on a couch in the visitors room. Close to her was Renor Braun, a renowned events planner.

"What's this, mom?" Silvia asked a little annoyed.

"Come here, dear," Janet said, Silvia walked up to her and sat close to her.

"So, I want to hear your own plans for the wedding," Janet continued. Silvia almost rolled her eyes. When exactly will her parents stop bugging her?!

"Was this why you called me mom? I don't have any plans yet. I was really busy you know," Silvia replied.

"Tsk, what a workaholic! You're too busy to even plan for your own wedding. What an unlucky man Davian is," Janet remarked.

"Mom," Silvia whined.

"It's the truth, you won't have time for him and dear, that's one of the reasons even a good man will start to cheat," Janet added and Silvia just sighed.

"Have you and your fiancée set a date? The place to conduct the marriage?" Janet asked further.

"No, but my fiancée is okay with whatever I decide," Silvia replied.

"See, you have a really good man. Try to keep him," Janet responded.

"As you must have already noticed, this is Renor Braun. She'll be in charge of planning the wedding," Janet continued and Silvia nodded.

"A pleasure to meet you, Ms. Reyes and to plan your wedding. It's a honor," Renor said.

"Nice to meet you too," Silvia replied.

"So dear, pick a date right now," Janet said.

"Well, I think...on the thirty first of this month will be alright. It's a Saturday, right?" Silvia speculated.

"Yes," both Renor and Janet replied.

"Then on the thirty first it is. And I'll prefer the church, then the mansion for the reception," Silvia affirmed.

"Good... lovely. What a beautiful way to end the month," Janet beamed.

"What about your gown?" Janet asked.

"We'll have the best fashion designer in the country customize it. It will be extraordinary, you'll relate how you'll want it done once I call in the designer," Janet added answering her own question.

"What will you like to be the color of the day, ma'ams?" Renor asked.

"Let my daughter answer it," Janet replied turning to Silvia in anticipation.

"Gold with a mixture of black and white," Silvia replied.

"Yes, what a good choice. Your Groom's suit will be gold jacket, a white shirt, black tie and a black inner jacket to compliment his black trousers and shoes," Janet responded as she claps in excitement. Silvia couldn't remember the last time her mother was this excited about something.

"I'll have the best chef in the country handle the food and drinks. The tasting will be in a matter of days as the month is almost coming to an end," Renor added. Both Reyes women nodded.

They continued to plan for the rest of the afternoon. Once they were done, Silvia got into her car and her driver drove off. They were heading for Davian's firm. She knew where it was located, she didn't call him but she guessed he must still be there by now. She wanted to see him and talk to him, the wedding plans had just begun.

They parked at the parking lot when they got there. Silvia got out of the car, she walked so elegantly towards the building. She doesn't know exactly which floor, should she call him perhaps?-She thought.

Just then, she halts slowly in her steps as she saw him come out of the building with his employees. They were two other young men and women with him but she could only recognize that young woman who was almost always with Davian, his secretary.

A lady and her son, a little boy, walked over to them. The boy hugged one of the men and Silvia could tell he was the boy's father and the lady's husband as she kissed him. The boy hugged Davian next.

"How are you champ?" she could hear him say as he squatted to meet the boy's height a little.

His smile was so broad as he talked with the boy, teasing him with so much love in his eyes as if he was his father. The boy's smile matched his as they enjoyed their buddy moment, Silvia didn't know when her lips pulled up in a small smile.

The smile dissipated when she saw as he noticed his secretary's loosed shoes laces and he started to tie it. Becca's smiled ear to ear at his sweet gesture. He stood up when he was done, they began to wave good bye to the other two men, the woman and the lady and her child as Becca was going with Davian.

They only noticed Silvia's presence when they turned, heading for the parking lot for their cars. They were taken aback to see Ms. Reyes. She continued walking towards them, towards Davian actually.

"Ms. Reyes..." some of them said in awe.

Becca's eyes almost glared at Silvia, what the hell was she doing here. She wasn't still happy about the fact that she took advantage of Davian's situation and got him to sign that contract. Davian will soon be married to this overbearing princess.

"Uhm, guys," Davian started. His friends are probably demanding for an explanation now, why would Silvia Reyes suddenly show up at their workplace all of a sudden. They didn't know about the contract he had signed with her. The only people who knew about it now were his mother, her friends, Becca, Emily-Silvia's secretary and her driver.

"You all know Ms. Reyes," Davian continued.

"Nice to meet you in person, Ms. Reyes," some responded, Silvia flashed a small smile at them.

"So to what do we owe this honorable visit?" Ray asked, he was the father of the little boy.

"Have you reconsidered our resume for the job?" Lucas beamed, Sarah elbows him in the stomach slightly.

"Ouch," he responded.

"I don't think that's it. She wouldn't have come all the way here to tell us that herself. She'd have made a phone call through to us and even by her secretary," Sarah pointed out.

"Yes. She's right. I actually came here to see Davian," Silvia confirmed.

All eyes went to Davian, some fixating between him and Ms. Reyes as they wondered what Ms. Reyes had with Davian.

Davian laughed a little nervously, he never expected this moment to be this soon.

"She's...my fiancée," he said.

"?!"
