The sounds of blades hitting one another struck the air. Sparks came flying off, each hit Elijah, and the fallen locked eyes with each other; it was like they were in a deadly dance; the one that looked away would lose their life.
The fallen summoned four ravens, and they all chased after Elijah. He ran, avoiding each of them, then spoke [Blade of wind]. He aimed the wind toward the fallen.
The ravens were dispelled as the fallen shot at him, but it used a new style this time. The fallen had fireballs circling it, and they were all ready to attack; Elijah dashed to a nearby tree it managed to hide him entirely.
The fallen shot three shots into the air. The sky was lit up with light. (did it spot me?!) Elijah moved from his spot, and the tree he hid behind was engulfed in a large flame.
(…those shots were meant -) Elijah's thoughts were cut off; the fallen appeared before him [Ball of fire]; fire erupted from the ground, and the fallen jumped back a few feet its body was tattered in burn marks.
(I got him! My plan is working!) he gripped his blade, then dashed toward the fallen, then sliced down with a swift move. No sound was made.
A colossal gash was on the fallen chest, and blackish blood oozed out. The fallen stumbled back a few steps. Elijah was about to speak, but the fallen cracked its fingers.
Fire pillars erupted from the floor. They caught Elijah in a cage. Before the cell was fully formed, Elijah called out, "String of fate!" Slik-like strings erupted from the fallen body.
it pulled at its ribbes. The fallen screamed out the fire cage and increased its heat (Fuck!..this thing is going to burn me alive). Elijah's head felt light, and his body felt numb.
It was like someone had knocked him over the head. The strings dug into the body, and Elijah could feel his spirituality leaving his body. If it went at this pace, he would collapse in seconds.
He had depleted half of his spirituality thanks to creating a windblade. He did that so that he could destroy all of the hidden traps and he could capture the fallen, but in the end, he was caught.
Even if he does kill, he knows he will pass out, and other fallen could kill him. "The …K-king," the fallen pointed at the sky, blood flowed from its eyeball. Its body was about to collapse when it spoke again, "shall free …u-us".
The body fell to the floor, its hand-stitched, and its life had yet to leave its body. The fire cage still held up, but it lost its heat.
Elijah walked out of the cage and then picked up the fallen sniper rifle. He was about to press the trigger but realized it might not work.
Elijah stabbed the fallen with Fallen Dynasty. The blade was slightly chipped, but it still worked.
The fallen life was gone; Elijah was in bad shape; he could die at any moment. Standing up was too painful for him, and Elijah collapsed.
Huf…huf….huff *cough *cough
Elijah coughed up some blood. It was dark. 'You have some internal bleeding, seeing as you are now, it sad to say that you might die today….I can save you if you agree to it..please Elijah, you don't have much time left.'
Elijah chuckled, then smiled, "What…made you break that oath?" Elijah asked. Otto tisked then answered, 'Do you really wanna die here?. why do you care so much about my past while you're on your death bed?'.
Otto scoffed; Elijah answered, "S-some h-how trying to figure out your past somehow keeps me sane, like how people read a book for their favorite character." Elijah smiled, and his consciousness slowly left his body.
'I broke the oath because it didn't make someone I loved happy,' Elijah chuckled.
ELijah woke up in a bead of sweat. He was on the ground. His plans were sweaty
Boom
The ground next to Elijah was destroyed. "What the!" Elijah raced to his feet and then dashed toward a tree. He checked up on his body. It was slightly damaged (last time I was in pain, what's going on?).
A red beam of light shot through the tree next to him, and a small hole went through it (it never used that move before). Elijah hid behind a different tree and then gathered his thoughts.
Three shots were fired into the air. Elijah dodged to a different tree, then went to where he had died last time and left some strings. The fallen was a close second behind him it shot at him.
Elijah wasn't hurt. He placed up a see-through wall of string and then called out," String of faith!" Strings called out from the depths of the woods.
The trees were sliced in half. The strings were going out of control (what the hell is happening?) the lines dashed for both ELijah and the fallen.
The fallen shot at it three times, then condescending a fireball into a light beam. The strings formed a colossal clump, and it was covered in black blood.
"How did it get so big!" Elijah dodged one of the string's attacks: 'This fight might have attracted an unknown presence,'.
Elijah's gloved hand burned a faint red. Elijah troe of the glove then added in thought (last battle it didn't go this way. Also, who is this new prensce? Could it be the one that healed me)
Elijah dodged to his left a clump of strings erupted to his right. he dashed towards the forest openings in a few seconds, he had left the forest.
huf huf huf
Elijah turned around to see a semi-ruined city. The buildings were destroyed. Monsters crawled around; the grass was very tall and managed to hide him somewhat.
'hmmm…that thing wasn't a fallen' Elijah's face was etched with confusion. "What do you mean it wasn't a fallen?"
Otto responded candidly, "That thing is what we call a revenant; they have fallen and have regained their human consciousness. Elijah paused. He absorbed the information and then inquired further.
"but we saw fallen that already acted somewhat human; does that not make them a revenant?" Elijah injected, prompting Otto to let out a soft sigh.
'those dogs were born in this den. A revenant is a human that failed to ascend. Once that happens, they become fallen. However, there are instances where they retain some of their consciousness. That's what a revenant is.' Elijah rubbed his chin and then walked ahead.
The road ahead was filled with broken-down buildings; the ground was littered with rubles of many sizes crafted from onyx.
In the background, a diffing sound rang out from the forest, and the ground rumbled, "is that thing coming here?!" just as he said that, he saw large clumps of strings coming from the depths of the dark forest.
The buildings around Elijah slowly shook, and he stried to find somewhere safe, anywhere he could find; after a few minutes, the rumbling got closer to him, and the ground felt like it would fall apart then and there.
Elijah saw a dome-shaped church up ahead, and he rushed to the church with his strength. The clumps of strings got closer, but something significant knocked into it. Elijah didn't dare even to look back. The fear kept him running.
After a few strides, he reached the church.
The insides were filled with murals depicting a god leading his people to war. There was a knight dawned in black armor; a king was placing a tron-like crown on its head.
On the other side of the mural were ten families, each dressed in a different armor set, but one stood out the most to Elijah: a tall, dark-toned man with long black hair and a pair of yellow eyes.
Elijah felt a connection to this man, but what? Elijah looked over to the other murals on the wall, but he could barely see them; he was tempted to use the ball of fire but didn't. he did not want to alert any more fallen.
Elijah looked ahead; something crashed into the roof, revealing moonlight; that moonlight hit something covered in a deep black armor with a greatsword in hand . "fuck"
Elijah cursed; the knight raised its sword and swung the great sword, and the two were out of reach. Elijah dogged on the instant; he looked back to see a slash engraved into the wall behind him.
He looked ahead; the knight was already in front of him; it stared at him with empty eyes.
The knigh's fist swung at Elijah. ELijah flew out of the church a few meters back; the knight was uninterested in continuing the fight. It went back inside. Elijah tried to get up, but his body was screaming. He coughed up blood.
His chest was nearly caved in. He managed to get up, but he could nearly think with all the pain coursing through his body. A socurhing hotness hit his throat. He went into a coughing fit. It seemed endless.
Elijah held his chest and then looked at the church. The knight was inside but he could somewhat make out what it was doing. The knight was standing there staring at Elijah; even though it didn't have a face, ELijah could see it looked displeased.
