Exodus Monarch and Knight System

Exodus Monarch and Knight systems

The ranks in the kingdoms, they are as follows: Royalty, Archduke, Duke, Margrave, Marquis, Earl, Count, Viscount, Baron, and Knight. Royalty is the ruling monarch and is a title that cannot be given to someone with outstanding achievements, you can only get it if you marry the First Child, it is similar to the Archdukes. Now Archdukes are siblings of the king or ruling monarch some could say and you can only get it through marrying a sibling of the king.

Now for the other titles Duke to Count are High ranking Nobles. The titles are given out depending on how great your achievements are. Dukes and Archdukes live in the capital and they are who the nobles report to. Dukes for all Nobles and the Archdukes are reported to by the Dukes and help the king.

Only Margraves who govern a territory of the kingdom are allowed an army to defend it and reinforce the capital. An Marquis who is the same rank as Margrave and tends to work in foreign affairs and capital more. They tend to live in the royal capital unlike the Margraves who are trusted more one could say.

Earls and Counts are basically the same level, though Earls are a little higher. They tend to do the following: collecting taxes, overseeing the justice, used Knights to keep the peace and protection. Viscounts job was the following and was similar to Counts and Earls: administer justice and to collect taxes and revenues. All 4 of these also own city's that they must maintain that are given out when they become a Baron if available or the could start one.

Barons job was to maintain a singular city like I said and had to maintain a small group of knights. Most would have around 100 knights in total I would say, maybe more. Now I will go into knights more as they also have levels within.

Knights could be ranked as follows: Holy Knight Grandmaster, Holy Knight, Knight Grandmaster, Holy Knight Apprentice, Knight, Knight apprentice, Squire, Squire apprentice. Next up is their jobs and duties.

Now the Holy Knight Grandmaster serves directly under the King and the Holy Knights are his soldiers. They are said to be equal to 100 men and only has 500 personnel for most kingdoms. The Knight Grandmaster is chosen as a older Holy Knight due to Knowledge and skill and is in charge of the normal Knight Order. Holy Knights are Knights who have passed the test to become Holy Knights and are training. They are required to work with the Holy knights and are the strongest knights. Their power from the weakest to strongest is around 10-100 men, an that is of all the knights in the kingdom. Now some additional information is that Holy knights can only be in the capital and Margraves territory. Though there is only one Grandmaster and that is in the capital. The ones in the Margraves territory are commanded by the Margrave or head Knight you could call it I guess.

Now Knights are in charge of safety of the city's and towns. They can be commanded by the knight commander in each individual city. They are in charge of security most of the time and policing the towns and capital sometimes. They are equal to 10 men. Then there are the Knight apprentices. They have to pass a test to be a apprentice and are as strong as 5-10 men form the beginning to end of training. Now the Squires are the ones who take the test to be Apprentice knights. They are as strong as 5 men on average and are for small parties for protecting people.

Now a more explanation on their jobs are as follows: Holy knights protect the King and capital and are their guards. The knights help protect the capital and can be sent out to city's and rarely towns to defend. Knights also defend high ranking nobles and keep them safe. Squires are only in Towns and rarely City's for protection. They tend to protect low ranking nobles.

Now there is a group of knights who are the strongest in the kingdoms. They are sentient and stop wars from growing out of control. Their numbers and location are unknown. Their powers are equal to SS-Rank Adventurers as I will fill in, in my 3rd book. Some of their faces are known and some are guessed. They all have bounties on their head, being the highest of all. The kingdom of Jones and The Tribes of Strike hate them the most even if some of their members used to be part of their country's.

Now onto how money is used in this world. You have coins in a ranking system. Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum, Now they all come in small and large variants. Platinum is only found in the hands of the King and High ranking nobles. Gold is found in the hands of all nobles normally. Silver is found in the hands of anyone running a business, or being a noble. And Copper and Bronze can be found on anyone who is not a noble.

10 Copper coins equal one Bronze coin. 100 Bronze coins equal one Silver coin. 100 Silver coins equal one Gold coin. And 100 Gold coins equal one Platinum coin. That means 10,000,000 copper coins is equal to one Platinum coin.

Copper is normally collected and traded for higher coins. It is basically change for something not equal to a single bronze coin.

That is all for the Monarch and Knight system of the world we live in, Exodus.
