In school the next day, there was tension everywhere as the students were panicking all over the place and couldn't focus on what they were studying. The examination was going to start very soon. The building where the examination was going to take place was already set up and the examiners sent from the council of Ansteria were already present.
"This is really happening huh?" Jake asked. "It feels so surreal. Like I can't believe we're going to be third year students in a few days."
"I know right." Kevin agreed. "And the present third year students are currently participating in the annual inter-school competition between our school and Klintop Academy. This year Klintop Academy is hosting it."
"Klintop Academy." Smith said in reverence. "The number one school in Ansteria."
"What makes it the best school anyway?" Jake asked. "Who's to say our school isn't just as good as Klintop Academy?"
"Are you kidding me?" Smith asked clearly upset by the question. "Klintop Academy is the best school for lots of reasons. They have a better conducive environment for learning..."
"Yeah right." Jake said not believing what Smith said. "What more conducive environment do you need? Look around you." Jake said gesturing with his hands at his surroundings. "I'd say this is a pretty conducive environment, wouldn't you?"
"Guys!" Kevin shouted. "This argument is pointless and a waste of time. First why are you two arguing about a school that most likely doesn't even know you exist, second Jake shouldn't you be studying for the examination that's about to start? Smith and I are okay. It's already certain we've passed the examination even without us studying now but don't you need to study and prepare?"
"That sure is a lot of confidence Kevin." Jake said. "I've already studied at home and a little bit this morning before coming to school."
"Attention students." came a voice from the speakers placed at strategic corners in the school compound. "The examination will now commence. Please arrange your things and head to the building for the examination and try to do so in an orderly manner. An examiner in the building will show you where you're supposed to be seated. Any disturbances will be penalized by suspension for a week. Thank you for your cooperation."
Packing up any book they were studying or anything they might have been doing, the students began dragging themselves to the examination building. With some of them having a sombre expression, they sat down where the examiners told them to sit after being searched and inspected.
Looking at the six-paged examination questions, Jake had to admit he was a bit scared and nervous. He was going to literally spend the whole day writing the examination because the duration of the examination was from 9 O clock in the morning to 11 O clock in the night.
After one of the examiners had announced that everybody should start, Jake immediately began writing and answering the questions he knew very well first. Turning his head to the left, Jake was able to see Smith sitting a couple of seats away from him, Jake could see him typing continuously on the mini-screen with which they were using to do their examination.
Turning back to his own mini-screen, Jake was focusing on trying to solve a question on Atomic Energy in Space. Even with the stats of his mental moxie he couldn't remember everything he had read but he was doing better than he used to. With the help of his mental moxie he was able to answer and solve most of the examination questions. Skipping the question on Atomic Energy in Space, Jake went to the next question and continued answering the ones he knew.
'I'll just come back and attempt to answer these questions when I'm done with the ones I know.' Jake thought to himself while skipping another question he didn't know to answer one that he knew. 'At least we're not doing the part of the examination where we will be put in real-life situations is until the day after tomorrow. I'm just happy tomorrow is a day off for us, no need to come to school so I can just stay in the house and enjoy myself. Maybe I'll go visit Cat, I haven't really had time to talk to her alone after that kiss.'
Continuing with his examination, Jake was sure he was going to get nothing less than 60 percent. They had all spent a lot of hours doing the examination already and they still had a long way to go.

"No Kalvrie." said a man walking through a forest with red trees that were so high that their tips were close to touching the clouds. "I told you we are going to leave both of them alone for now. In a few years after he has become aware of some things we will go back."
"Yes Sir, I know you've said that before but shouldn't we at least send someone to Veda to keep an eye on him?" Kalvrie asked. "Based on the speed at which he has grown, things might escalate beyond what we expect in those few years."
"Fine Kalvrie." the man resigned. "Send one of the Aramante to Veda to keep an eye on the boys, Jake especially."
"Yes Sir." she saluted him and stopped walking while the man continued walking towards a building which was glowing in a blue colour.

Coming down from the Glist he had booked, he stretched his hand out to help Cat out of the Glist. After coming down, Jake and Cat walked up to the porch of her house together.
They had finished their examination and immediately Jake was done he left the examination building and booked a Glist. When the Glist had arrived, only four passengers could get into it so Jake, Cat, Sky and Smith had entered. Kevin didn't mind because he could follow one of his other friends who owned a Glist.
"Today was a really exhausting day." Jake said as they reached the front door of the house.
"Yeah it was." Cat agreed. "I'm just happy I was able to finish almost all the questions."
"You've already passed the examination. It's you. You're the best student in our class."
"So is Smith and even he admitted this examination was difficult." Cat said. "Go home. Don't keep the others waiting."
"They can wait. After all I am the one paying for the Glist."
After getting a look from Cat Jake decided to go. Leaning forward to kiss her on the lips, he was stopped by Cat putting a hand on his chest.
"The others are watching us Jake." Cat said to him.
Turning around, Jake couldn't see them in the Glist but knew they were watching, especially Sky. "Goodnight Cat." Jake said then kissed her on her cheek.
Going back to the Glist, it continued on the way to their house but dropped Smith at a junction that he could take to his house.
"Long day?" Andrea asked as he looked towards the door and saw Jake and Sky come into the house.
"You don't know how long." Jake answered.
They both went to their respective rooms, took a shower and slept off instantly due to the mental and physical exhaustion of the day.
