The rich breeze came through the window that Sunday. Evangelina woke up with her breasts erect and her panties extremely soaked; she had dreamt about her boss, she dreamt that he had made love to her over and over again on the carpets of her apartment.
My God, never in my life had anything like this ever happened to me, she thought looking at her trembling body, she knew that everything was out of control and that the desire for the arrogant gentleman was growing more and more.
She stood up and looked at herself in the mirror.
"How I would like him to like me, if only I dared to change a little," Eva said aloud as she looked at her body, she was no fool, she knew she had extraordinary qualities that she didn't show.
She bit her lip as she put her hands to her mouth, remembering the kiss the day before and all the jokes and fights between them, no doubt her boss was a flamboyant being in every way.
At what point is your relationship with your boss no longer just work, Evangelina, she thought.
She shook her head, trying to get all these thoughts out, and went to the shower to wash up. Today she was going to fill the pantry and pay the utilities and rent; she was so happy with her paycheck that she didn't want to wait any longer to spend it.
She put on a baggy green skirt with a black shirt and old-fashioned shoes.
She had nothing for breakfast, so she decided to eat something in the street, it had been a long time since she had done that, she used to go with Santino to a little fonda in the center of town.
She grabbed her bag and went out to the street, hoping to see her car, remembering that her boss was going to send for a tow truck.
I'll have to check when I get back, she thought. She hated taking the bus; besides it was exhausting, she wasted more time.
"Miss Evangelina Anderson?" a man snapped her out of her thoughts.
"Yes, tell me." She looked at him quizzically, as if she had seen him before.
"Excuse me, I am Mr. Demetrio Laureti's chauffeur, he sent me here to bring you your car," the man said, looking at her curiously.
"Ah, yes, and where is it?" she looked for him with her eyes.
"Here it is, miss, you see, Mr. Demetrio sold his car, here is the money". The man took out an envelope with money.
Evangelina looked at the man with a frown, her eyes turned red, and by then she felt that anger had taken hold of her, who had told her that he wanted to sell it?
"He sold my car!" Eva's cheeks reddened with anger. "Who does he think he is to sell my car?" she said in astonishment, the poor chauffeur looked down in shame.
"It's the only means of transportation I had!", Eva paced back and forth, trying to calm herself.
"You see, Ms. Evangelina, he's sending you this assigned car until he can..."
Eva turned around in surprise. It was a senior car, red, small, sporty and ten times better than the one she had.
"I don't want anything assigned, I want my car," Eva folded her arms in annoyance.
Who was he to make those decisions.
"He's arrogant, stupid and degenerate," the chauffeur looked at Evangelina in disbelief, he had never heard anyone address the most coveted heir in the country like that.
He picked up his cell phone and at the first ring Demetrio answered.
"Leave the show for the car." Demetrio spoke immediately, he seemed to be expecting this call, and Eva was sure he grimaced at that moment.
"Mr. Laureti! Who told you I want another car?" shouted Eva angrily.
"Don't thank me, Eva," Demetrio said arrogantly, the kind of arrogance that characterized her and that got on Evangelina's nerves.
"Thank you!" She snorted, as if he was watching her, "Hey this one, it's my car, you didn't have to do what it did, you heard me."
"Let's do something Eva, the car I sent you, I'll give it to you." Eva's mouth dropped open.
Why on earth would her boss give her a car, to her? To a mere secretary?
"I don't want anything for nothing, sir." Her boss wanted to buy her?
The chauffeur looked at him incredulously, what woman in her right mind wouldn't want a year-old car like the one he had just sent her?
"What a stubborn woman you are! Well, I'll give you a monthly discount until you cancel it," Demetrio suggested. Eva thought about it for a moment, the car was nice and yes, she needed it badly, but at what price?
"Why are you giving me a car for free, eh, Mr. Laureti?", Eva reproached him.
"Stop equivocating, it's just.... you can't drive in that junk, you're the secretary of the most..."
"Millionaire of the country and even the world." She mimicked him with a grimace, which made Demetrio smile on the other end of the line.
"Don't be proud and enjoy it, yeah, don't think it's a gift, who do you think you are, you have to pay for it!" said Demetrio ironically.
Eva thought about it for a second, she'd be a fool not to.
"Okay, but you have to deduct the amount of the monthly car, even if it takes you decades," Eva said with determination.
"Okay, fair enough, Miss Anderson," Demetrio replied, though for some reason he had no intention of charging her.
She hung up and excitedly climbed into the car after thanking the driver.
She had an amazing time that day, besides catching up on her bills, she ate delicious food and did the market for the month, she had bought so many things and had some money left over that she thought she would save it for an emergency.
"This is the best job I've ever had!" said Eva as she reorganized the pantry. Just then she heard her door open.
She peeked out in astonishment, the only one who could enter her house was.....
"Santino!" cried Eva excitedly and ran to him, who caught her in his arms.
"Ratoncito, I've missed you." The hugs from her best friend were not long in coming, Santino was known to be an extremely affectionate, as well as cheerful and very handsome, man with her.
"Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" asked Eva crossing her arms.
Santino leaned back on the couch while Eva made him a soda, he was her only friend and she loved seeing him.
"I came on the spur of the moment, Mr. Andrea needs my services in the company". Eva looked at him in surprise.
"Really? I didn't know you were in the Laureti's service."
"There you go, there you go, in the service of Andrea Laureti, not your boss."
"Why do I get the feeling you hate him, do you even know him and haven't told me?" she asked, sitting down next to him.
Santino stared at Eva, it seemed that her features, despite the glasses, looked more mature and he could even swear she looked prettier.
"Tell me something, Eva, do you like that lout Demetrio?" he asked without taking his eyes off her, clenching his fist roughly.
Eva went red with nerves, although she wanted to deny it, yes, she liked Demetrio, as she had never liked anyone, as she had never liked anyone and she had realized it for the simple reason that her panties got wet just remembering it, something that had definitely never happened to her before.
"Don't answer me, I'll just tell you something, Demetrio Laureti is a despicable being, he only wants to satisfy himself with women, so I suggest you don't fall in love with him." He took a lock of Eva's black hair and tucked it behind her ear. "I don't want him to hurt you, because you're not the kind of woman for your boss." Those last words pierced Eva's heart like a dagger, and as much as it hurt, she had to be realistic; besides being a plain, reserved woman, she was only his secretary.
She snorted heavily, ignoring the response to his glare. She sighed and immediately changed the subject to one that would make her feel more comfortable.
"Will you help me with the project?"
Eva had spent years working on a report, detailing an application that she was sure would be a success, only Santino and her parents knew about it, it was a simple game that generated real money and in which players from different countries bet through it, infinite rewards.
After hours of exhausting work, she went to bed early, Santino had gone out for drinks with his friends, and although he insisted on taking her, Eva preferred to rest.
She lay down on the bed and called her mother, for some reason she hadn't called her in two days, so she was a little worried.
"Mother, how are you?" she said as she picked up the phone.
"Hello daughter, very well darling, here I am talking to your cousin Catia who has arrived from Europe. You know she lives with a millionaire and has brought us all presents."
"She lives mother? Catia is the mistress of a businessman," Eva replied with a grimace of disgust.
She hated Catia, she was a hypocritical and bad-hearted girl. She always humiliated Eva because of the way she dressed and even treated her like a rag in high school, but Eva never told her parents or aunts and uncles.
"Well, mother, since you're in good company, I'm going to bed."
"Wait, daughter, Catia wants to say hello."
Damn it! She snorted in annoyance.
"Hello Evangelina." Catia's voice was so shrill it made her sick to her stomach.
"Hi Catia, I'm very busy, I'm going to sleep, bye."
"Eva, don't hang up, I want to know how you are girl and if you have already caught a man like me or are you still a virgin." Eva snorted.
"No, and you know why, because I'm an engineer, I don't need a man to get ahead, sorry cousin, but I have to hang up."
She hung up, her anger was evident, she went to sleep, tomorrow she would have to deal with her arrogant, despicable and shameless, but sexy and very beautiful boss.
....
Demetrio was with Andrea all Sunday, he was scared when he knew he was sick, when he got home and saw him perfectly fine playing golf, he was glad.
"Playing golf, Andrea," Demetrio told him, greeting him warmly.
"I didn't expect to see you here today, son, will you give me a hand? Your bastard of a father went out and didn't come back," they both laughed.
"I'll beat you until I get tired," Demetrio said with a smile. He adored the old man with his life, after his mother he was the being he loved the most.
"Now the student strives to outdo the master," Andrea said smiling.
After a few hours of practice, and Demetrio defeated as always, they sat down for refreshments, Andrea was very good, there was no one who could beat him, and he was even the best in his time.
"Tell me, how are things going with Evangelina? You've already mated with her, I'm telling you, the girl is very smart." Andrea took a sip of her soda.
"And with character, Grandpa, with character."
"Just what you need from your nannies, boy." Demetrio smiled, the girl definitely knew how to put him in his place, and that was a challenge for him, one that excited him immensely,
"Demetrio." Andrea turned serious. "I've hired Santino to evaluate some jobs in the company."
Demetrio got up from his chair in a hurry, he was annoyed.
"To Santino, tell me it's not true Andrea Laureti!!!, Santino is the worst person in the world and I don't want him snooping in my business," Demetrio snorted annoyed.
"Demetrio, he was your best friend and also the only person I trust to check the balance sheet of the companies."
"I don't care, Andrea, hire someone else, Santino is the worst traitor and I don't want him around..."
"No, Demetrio, Santino is not to blame for the fact that Alina was in love with him." Demetrio gave him a sincere look.
"Well, in the end my opinion doesn't count," Demetrio slammed the door and walked out euphoric.
