Chapter 565 - CHAPTER 567: Alliance Dissolved!

Compared to the cultivation methods left behind by the original owner of the Skeletal Staff, this completely new level of realising elemental energy that he had now obtained was far more valuable. While those cultivation methods would only allow Han Shuo to learn how to form attacks using the energy of death, the higher level of realisation would allow Han Shuo to make leaps and bounds in his cultivation and obtain even more terrifying energy of death!

In the end, all of these cultivation methods were just different ways of using the elemental energy of death. None of them could make Han Shuo ascend from the realm of the Lowgods to the realm of the Midgod. These profound realisations, however, could! It would allow Han Shuo to grasp the true essence of Death Energy and transform him into a Lowgod. And with enough divine energy, Han Shuo could even continue to make breakthroughs without the slightest stagnation, all the way to becoming a Midgod.

The apprehensions of Highgods, that was the most precious thing for a Lowgod gods! The methods of using energy and acquiring divine energy could both be slowly mastered through practice and cultivation. However, it was their profound realisations that were the most valuable. This was because a god might never come to possess these realisations even after acquiring a tremendous amount of energy.

But now, Han Shuo had come to possess those realisations directly! What's more, it was the divine realisation of a Midgod

In other words, from this moment on, in Han Shuo's cultivation of the Death Element, all the challenging problems he needed to understand before advancing to the next realm would no longer be an obstacle. As long as he could acquire enough divine energy, he would progress at the speed of light and become a Lowgod, and even a Midgod!

As the soul fusion progressed, the skeletal staff in Han Shuo's hand gradually transformed without Han Shuo's control. It turned into a carbon copy of Han Shuo, filled with the aura of death. Then, without any indication, that piece of deep black magic robe spontaneously flew and wrapped itself tightly around Han Shuo.

Evil, darkness, desolation, loneliness - all those auras that could be felt in the netherworld - began to emanate from this avatar of Han Shuo's.

Han Shuo had no idea that the souls would begin to merge so suddenly. They were in the Void. A great battle was taking place not far from him. The merging of the souls meant that he was at a great vulnerability as the process could not be disturbed in the slightest.

Therefore, as Han Shuo's soul began to merge with the divine soul of the Midgod, he began to silently communicate with the Netherworld. His consciousness was on full alert. His main body, attached to the Demonslayer's Edge, was ready to deal with any threat that might come at any moment.

The bombardment from the meteor shower and the Spatial Edge covered an extremely large area. Even though Han Shuo was hiding in a concealed area, he was still being battered by these two attacks. In this situation, having three souls gave Han Shuo an absolute advantage. As this Death Basegod rapidly merged with this Divine Soul, Han Shuo's main body and one of his avatars actively contained the disturbances from the meteor shower and the spatial edges, keeping them far away from the avatar cultivating in the element of death.

The minutes passed silently as this went on for a long but undetermined amount of time. Even Han Shuo's other two souls felt a bit tired...

Suddenly, the element of death began to converge on Han Shuo's avatar in a chaotic manner. Han Shuo's body, like a blue whale gorging on seawater, rapidly absorbed a huge amount of the Element of Death. At the same time, all those profound realisations emanating from the Divine Soul of the Midgod were being evoked...

A bizarre and fantastic transformation occurred simultaneously in the body and soul of the Skeletal Staff Avatar. The soul, the body, the element of death, and the realisations were converging, merging, splitting, and recombining in a way that Han Shuo couldn't understand...

Suddenly, Han Shuo's main body, which had been vigilantly observing the surroundings, discovered that within a few dozen metres of his avatar, there was no element other than the intense Death Element.

Domain of Divinity! This was the effect of the Domain of Divinity!

An overjoyed Han Shuo watched as the Death Element converged from all sides, and then watched as the Death Element condensed into high concentrations before transforming into divine energy for his avatar in a way he couldn't understand. After witnessing the scene of Little Skeleton becoming a god, Han Shuo clearly understood that his avatar cultivating the Element of Death was undergoing a miraculous transformation!

"Huh?" Back at the battlefield of the four demon kings, Manticole suddenly muttered.

While Golander had been momentarily distracted by Han Shuo's shock, Manticole, who was of similar strength, had managed to catch Golander's timing and envelop him in absolute darkness. Because of this, Manticole had the upper hand and had time to talk.

The other three Demon Kings also felt the Element of Death gathering wildly around them. The four Demon Kings, who had gone through exactly the same process, only had to think for a second before they realised what was happening.

All four of them, who were in the midst of a fierce battle, stopped fighting at the same time with great harmony. The four of them exchanged glances and flew to the area at the same time.

Han Shuo, who harboured evil intentions, did not go too far away from them. In the process of becoming a god, the gathering of the element of death was something that could not be controlled. Therefore, Han Shuo could no longer hide his tracks. The four demon kings discovered Han Shuo's hiding place in an instant.

"Two... two of him... what is going on?" Cecrops exclaimed in surprise as soon as he arrived and saw the scene.

Han Shuo's main body, wielding the Demonslayer's Edge, and his avatar, wearing a deep black magical robe - apart from the clothing, they both looked exactly the same!

Cecrops quickly recovered from the initial shock. He glanced at Manticole and Leviathan as he said, "Better kill him, lest he cause trouble in the future".

There was complete silence. At this crucial moment, Manticole and Leviathan, who were supposed to be Han Shuo's allies, both remained silent!

A Han Shuo with the power of a Lowgod god in the Edict of Destruction had already forced them to be on alert. And now, out of nowhere, a second Han Shuo had appeared. What's more, this Han Shuo was on the verge of becoming a Death God. This kind of horror had completely exceeded their expectations. These two allies, who had ulterior motives to begin with, remained silent as light flickered from their eyes.

Cecrops and Golander suddenly turned to look at each other. Golander nodded and said in an icy voice, "Let's do this together. This guy is quite difficult to deal with. I'm not sure I could finish him in a short time if I did it alone."

"Sure!" Cecrops said smiling. He glanced back at the silent Manticole and Leviathan, and soon after shot a meaningful glance at Golander. They marched step by step towards Han Shuo, who stood callously with the Demonslayer's Edge in his hand.

The two were wary of Manticole and Leviathan, not knowing if the duo would take the opportunity to attack them. For this reason, they did not charge at Han Shuo immediately, but approached him slowly to see how Manticole and Leviathan would react.

What followed was certainly not what they had expected. Cecrops, familiar with the personality of the Demon Kings of the other faction, noticed that at this critical moment, neither Manticole nor Leviathan showed any desire to interrupt and stood motionless.

Han Shuo, wielding the Demonslayer's Edge, looked at the four Demon Kings in front of him with an impassive face. He said not a word the whole time. It was as if he had become a spectator.

Cecrops and Golander continued to march towards Han Shuo, step by step. When they were about 50 metres away, their Domain of Divinity made contact with the Domain of Divinity that had just been formed by his avatar. Manticole and Leviathan, as Han Shuo's allies, remained indifferent and silent as before. At that moment, Han Shuo put on a smile, looked at them and said, "Manticole, Leviathan. From this second on, we are no longer allies!"

Han Shuo's heart felt neither sadness nor happiness. From the moment he witnessed Leviathan mercilessly murder his own follower, Nolan, and from the moment Manticole revealed his identity to Golander when he collected that deep black magical robe, he understood that his alliance with those two ruthless bastards was as fragile as a thin, dried leaf. It would shatter with the slightest blow.

In fact, Han Shuo knew this would happen when the four flew over to him. Having anticipated how they would react, Han Shuo did not feel the slightest bit surprised. And of course, he felt neither sad nor happy. His heart was undisturbed as he silently guarded against the turn of events.

"My sincere apologies, but the Abyss is not big enough for a sixth Demon King - especially a Demon King who possesses two basic energies! This cannot be allowed! Though you have said that you will leave the Abyss, the temptation of the Power of Faith is not something one can simply resist - just as we are tempted to go to your world to acquire the Power of Faith!" Manticole wore the same expression. He smiled at Han Shuo and continued to speak to Han Shuo in his soft voice.

The Abyss was only so big. The appearance of a new Demon King meant another existence competing to subjugate the people of the Abyss realm in order to gain their power of Faith. After that, they would have to divide the world further, and that meant a smaller piece of the pie for each of them. What's more, Han Shuo's strength was growing rapidly, along with an energy they had never seen before. The appearance of this Lowgod of Death made them feel even more threatened.

Therefore, they desperately wished for Han Shuo to die! This desperation exceeded the hatred the four Demon kings had for each other!
