In the next few days, Jun, who was directly training Tendou and Kyosuke, felt the difference and rapid development of the two. Even Jun himself did not know what was going on, all he could think this time was that it had something to do with the slave contracts they had that made them develop so quickly.
Movement, motion analysis, agility, sword swinging, they were able to master it in just a short time.
Jun also did not need to wake them up when the training started soon, both of them were already found on the field even before the training started.
Their bodies already looked more muscular than before, and that certainly did not come easily. Jun wanted to know what was behind all this since he didn't know that Tendou and Kyosuke were always practicing late into the night in secret. Doing exercises that can even be considered extreme, they even train three times heavier than what Jun suggested.
Pushups, situps, running, and so on, they did vigorously. Tired, of course. But it was one of the right choices for them to improve. That exhaustion will turn into pride any time soon.
They knew there would be a time when they would get the happiness they were waiting for.
"You guys are improving so much," Jun praised, as he tried to avoid the sword swings of Tendou and Kyosuke. "...but still..."
"What I want is Phase Power from you guys. Phase 1: Body Shield" Jun then clenched his fist and hit Tendou directly in the stomach and delivered an uppercut to Kyosuke's chin.
They were both thrown in different directions, but unlike their previous selves, they both managed to withstand the crushing blow and were only pushed back slightly from Jun's attack.
Jun was slightly surprised, but soon a smile appeared on the psychopathic doctor's face "Not bad. You guys can now withstand my attacks."
Although Tendou and Kyosuke were able to withstand the attack that could have easily broken their bones before, they still had to feel the impact.
The powerful blow made both of their eyes blurry and spun around like they were dizzy.
And once again, Jun easily kicked them to the ground.
Tendou and Kyosuke weren't badly hurt, but they still couldn't match the level of Jun, the king's shield.
Despite being able to defeat them easily, Jun felt quite proud of their progress. "Perhaps, we should end our training for today."
Jun walked away from them, but when he had only taken a few steps, there were groans and rubble swarming around Tendou and Kyosuke's bodies.
"STOP!" they said. With their bodies wounded, the two remained standing and glared at Jun, "I'M NOT DONE!"
Jun grinned happily, "THAT'S THE NAME OF PASSION!" he shouted.
Tendou clenched his hands into fists, trying to exert and focus his energy into his fists. He tried to remember and do what Jun had shown him when he cut down and almost destroyed a tree with just one finger.
Even Kyosuke felt something was different about Tendou's stance. "Don't tell me..."
Tendou then jumped at Jun and aimed his fist as hard as he could at Jun. Jun made no attempt to dodge as his movements were fast enough to catch him completely off guard, "Phase 1: Body Shield."
And in the end...
Tendou landed his punch on Jun's hand who tried to dodge it. And in the end, it was Tendou's hand that couldn't withstand how hard Jun's defense was and broke his hand, all the way down his arm and even his shoulder.
"UGH!" Tendou groaned as he fell over trying to endure the immense pain.
Kyosuke rushed over to Tendou, "Hey, are you okay? You idiot. What are you doing? Of course he would use his Phase Power, you idiot."
"He just wanted to try Phase Power, but it seems that he has yet to understand and even master it. He hasn't focused the power in his limbs that support his attacks and is only exerting power through his output, which results in chaos in the energy in his punches." Jun said.
"Energy chaos?"
"In Phase Power 1, you must focus the energy in your limbs. Really focus, so that the energy is able to flow regularly in the limb. And what he did was focus his energy in his fist, but he swung the attack with his shoulder. What do you think he should do?"
Kyosuke who had been trying to learn Phase Power for several days still did not even understand the concept. But after hearing Jun's detailed explanation, he could instantly envision it.
If one were to focus his energy inside his fist or fist, all he had to do was hit it with just his fist, but that was impossible.
If one were to hit, one would have to swing one's hand or at least move one's upper arm.
So the point Kyosuke was getting was, "We, should we focus our entire hand?"
"Exactly, pr if that takes too much strength, you can just put your power into your upper arm, or your shoulder. So that the power is balanced from the input and output of your attacks."
The concept they had been trying to understand for days was finally solved. Kyosuke, who had a high ego, even lowered his head and thanked Jun for his help, causing Jun to wonder why they had changed so quickly but actually in Jun's eyes, it wasn't bad, as long as they didn't interfere with the King's work.
"Alright, now we end our training. And also... Phase 2: Heal." Instantly, Tendou's hand straightened thanks to Jun's power.
"THANK YOU, SIR JUN!" said Kyosuke, whereas Tendou was still lying there trying to catch his breath.
When Jun turned around and left them, he walked straight towards his room.
And until he arrived at his room, he was still hiding something, judging by his expression. Hiding a very strange secret that he did not want to share with them.
Jun looked at his hand, bent the other way. And when he saw his broken hand, he said "That punch... was not Slave 1's Phase 1." Jun knew, because with his Body Shield, he was able to withstand direct attacks from other people's Phase 1 or you could say, he was a counter to everyone who was able to use their Phase 1 in one-on-one combat.
It's only...
"That was crazy, don't tell me... That was purely from his raw fist alone? And yet he was able to do that in just a few days... Heal."
After his hand returned to its original form, Jun rubbed his head and hair, "Now I understand why His Highness Meika summoned him."
After taking off his uniform, Jun then lay down on the bed. His hair was loosened up, but since he was a little bit focused, he didnt even bother to tidy it up.
It was just he was imagining what would happen in the future because with such rapid development, Tendou could become a creature that could not even be defeated and become a reliable warrior in their country called Veda.
Still, he only had so much to learn though at least, tomorrow's introduction of the new slave looked very convincing.
What Jun hoped for was that all the people of Veda would warmly welcome the two slaves like ordinary people.
However, it was not as easy as expected. Because Jun knew that wouldn't happen.
The people of Veda were now gathered in front of the castle behind the big fence, and there were clear sounds of mockery towards the slaves.
Even so, none of Tendou and Kyosuke felt pressured at all, even though the sounds of booing and jeering continued to echo throughout the entire palace.
"It's not my first time," Tendou said.
"Well, neither is mine. I'm used to it," Kyosuke replied.
Tendou had expected that. News of the two slaves who would become the king's bodyguards had already spread everywhere but why was it such hot news?
Imagine when the people who had tried their hardest, had aspirations of becoming the king's personal bodyguards from children, women, and of course men, were all dashed instantly by the weak new slaves.
"I'm even better than them."
"Choose me instead, Your Majesty!"
"Those slaves should just be slaves, no need to escort the king!"
Hearing the huge protest, the king came out with Jun and Kirara by his side. Tendou was quite fascinated by the king's charisma, and without thinking, he bowed in respect to the king.
Cheers of admiration rang out as the king exited the palace. As it turned out, it wasn't just Tendou who was mesmerized, but all the people of the Veda nation.
It was clear evidence to Tendou why Meika was chosen to be the king of the country.
But all was silent when the king uttered his first words after leaving the palace, "SLAVE 1 AND SLAVE 2."
His voice entered the eardrums of one by one the people of Veda, as well as Tendou and Kyosuke. Upon hearing the call, they replied nervously and with goosebumps while lowering their gazes, "I am here, your highness!"
However, Tendou slowly began to raise his head and directed his gaze towards Meika. Seeing the king, Tendou's pupils widened. He did not expect to see the king unsheathe his sword and aim it at Tendou and Kyosuke.
"Fight me," Meika said.
