"Hey, why are you in class E you idiot. Explain it to me!"
"Slave 2, take it easy. You stand out too much, don't make so many fuss"
Kyosuke tugged on Tendou's shirt collar when he came to class E unknowingly making a scene in the class.
Tendou, who was trying to chill out in class, initially did not get much reaction from the people around them. But Kyosuke's arrival attracted the eyes of students from various classes.
Several people from classes A, B, C, and D gathered in front of class E to see the king's new slaves whose news had recently spread throughout the country.
Some people admired them, but there were definitely some people who were upset about the slaves.
To them, the slaves were not worthy of entering the school. They were only accepted because they were "slaves" of the king. The slaves had nothing to be proud of other than their closeness to the king.
'Slaves are just slaves' to them.
And of course Tendou realized that. As he expected, his fears became real.
The eyes of the students were all fixed on Tendou and Kyosuke and just by feeling that, Tendou's stomach was already queasy. And Tendou knew that Kyosuke was not the same as him, Kyosuke did not care if he was in the spotlight.
"Hey, stop. Otherwise..." Tendou had not even finished his sentence, but he suddenly felt a terrible air coming from outside the classroom.
"Phase 1: Grip Strength" Someone smashed the glass of Class E and barged in. His hands went straight for Tendou and Kyosuke, as if he did not care who he got, as long as it was one of the slaves, especially with that horrifying expression.
He smiled.
Kyosuke dodged quickly, but Tendou who was still in his seat, had his head caught in the man's grip and soon his head was thrown towards the table which made the table shatter.
Some students from outside the classroom were screaming hysterically because on their first day, they had seen violence.
But in Class E, they were silent and didn't care about what had happened.
Blood could be seen splashing on the uniform of the person next to Tendou as a result of the blow he received.
"SLAVE 1!" Kyosuke panicked.
But Tendou was silent, even though after his body was thrown to the edge of the classroom he did nothing at all.
Yoshimitsu was the name of the one who attacked them suddenly. A man with a large and burly body stood in front of Tendou arrogantly.
"I am Yoshimitsu Haragaru from class B. A slave like you, is just like a rat in my eyes"
What a creepy analogy he had just spouted. He forgot that even a rat is quite an intelligent animal, which can even defeat a snake.
It all depends on the mindset.
"Remember my name, one day I will become the king's companion and replace slaves like you, who are weak and not suitable to be beside the king's self." he said.
The king's companion? Tendou had not expected that being the king's companion was one of the positions desired by the people of Veda.
But...
Tendou was still silent. Sitting down, not even looking at Yoshimitsu who left the classroom after declaring his ambition.
Some people thought that Tendou was so depressed that he was speechless, immobile. Moreover, Yoshimitsu was in Class B. The second rank of the best class in the school.
But that was all wrong.
Tendou who was originally afraid of the trauma from his past, instantly forgot everything due to feeling Yoshimitsu's attack.
'Eh? His attack, it didn't hurt at all' Tendou thought.
His forehead was indeed bleeding, but that was just the normal result of one's body getting hit so hard. Even so, the blood on Tendou's forehead was not Tendou's form of pain as he did not feel it at all.
Pain, fear, not in his body and soul did he feel such things.
After calming down a bit, Tendou took a deep breath and then stood up, ignoring Yoshimitsu, he walked straight towards his seat, even though his desk had been destroyed.
And on the way to his seat, Tendou's eyes fell on the girl next to him whose uniform and face were splattered with blood.
The woman with pink hair and glasses covering her eyes was focused on reading the book in her hands.
Feeling guilty, Tendou passed a piece of tissue towards her, "I know this won't clean your uniform. But at least the blood on your face won't drip and stain the uniform further."
She ignored it. The girl just continued with her activity, which was reading a book.
Rather than the girl being agitated by Tendou's presence, Tendou chose to place the tissue on her desk, "You can use it however you like."
"Thank you."
The words that came out of the girl, startled Tendou. "There is no need to say such things." Tendou said while looking down at her slightly so as not to look too arrogant.
And again, the girl ignored Tendou.
So did Tendou. For Tendou it was probably the first or last time he would communicate with the girl.
And in the end, Tendou took his seat and waited for the admission ceremony to be announced.
But as he waited, the girl asked Tendou calmly, "Why didn't you dodge his attack? Didn't you realize that he was going to attack you?"
Tendou was speechless.
Of course, how could the girl know that Tendou was aware of Yoshimitsu's attack?
However, it could just be that she was guessing or assuming.
Therefore, it was better if he played dumb and refuted her assumptions.
"W-What do you mean, miss? I didn't know she was going to attack me. Didn't you see it? He attacked me with a flash."
"Exactly." replied the girl.
Hearing the girl's slightly ambiguous answer, Tendou could only tilt his head. That's why he asked once more with the same sentence as the girl's words to dig deeper into what the girl had said,
"Exactly?"
"Exactly, I can't see it. My eyes have been blind since birth, but because of that I have a power where I can sense the air around me." The girl explained. "Before that person attacked you, the body air around you was cold. However, in just a short period of time, warmth enveloped you. That's a sign that you were aware of his presence, and tried to resist the person's attack. But something puzzles me,"
The girl, turned to Tendou and revealed that her eyes had been closed since earlier. She was reading a brille book using her hands, -that is the language for someone who cannot see-.
"Why, aren't you dodging? I feel vibrations around you. Fear? Restlessness? Is that what's keeping you from moving? Or... is there another reason? Mr. Tendou Zuvarist Ilion, aka Slave 1?"
The girl seemed to be pressuring Tendou to answer all her questions. And what made Tendou even more nervous was that everything the girl said was true.
But still...
"You're exaggerating miss, I'm just a person of class E. Being the king's companion doesn't mean I'm a person who..."
"Do you think... Class E is a class for weak people?"
Silence.
Tendou did not know what to answer. He didn't mean any offense by it, and since he had said such a nasty word, it was like he had set himself up as a villain.
"I... didn't mean to."
"You're wrong..." said the girl. "Class E is full of people who are not much different from other classes. It's just that they can't be organized."
The girl seemed to know so many things about the class that it made Tendou wonder. Who exactly was this girl? And how did she know that there were so many strong people in Class E?
"N-Miss..." Tendou wanted to ask the girl, but apparently...
Tendou's sentence was interrupted by the sound of a blow once again. The sound was very similar to when Tendou was slammed against the wall in the classroom, but... who was slammed this time?
"Looks like your friend is going to have trouble on his first day," the girl said to Tendou.
And when he turned around, Tendou found Kyosuke clenching his fist and Yoshimitsu slammed into the wall, standing up while wiping his mouth which was bleeding slightly.
"Hoo... You, Slave 2" Yoshimitsu said.
"Grit your teeth, little one. I won't let you look at tomorrow, because you'll die today" Kyosuke showed a very serious expression, as if he wanted to kill Yoshimitsu mercilessly.
This is serious, isn't it?
