The figure of Zac could be found proceeding into the school halls, taking the route which led to the female dorms, despite the fact that it was highly prohibited for boys to be found anywhere around there.
Rule number 5.
If any student is to be caught in the dorms of the opposite gender, such student would be seen to punishments.
Yet, that didn't seem to stop an already agitated Zac from proceeding in there, for whatever business he took about.
"Valerie!"
That voice thundered, with legs still pushing on, his form was only directed at a particular room.
"Valerie!"
He had pulled into that space he used to be in every now and then. That room he used to sneak into months back, just to be with that girl, which thoughts of her, only filled his heart.
It was just like before, always as empty as whenever he visited. The absence of her roommates always to linger, each time he came around.
And at the storm-in of his figure, there followed a shriek, with the form of Valerie snatching her towel off the bed, wrapping it onto her body.
There she was, figure stood by her bedside, and at the call of her name, she spun around to the incoming figure of Zac.
Gaze held strong on her, the young man's eyes never took leave off her profile, he advanced forward, approaching that stunned figure..
"Where's it?" His words were rushed, eyes still on her.
"Where's the book?" He called yet again, finally coming to stand before her.
"For what reason would you come all the way to the girls' dorm yelling my name, Zac?" Her words followed.
"I'm not here for the games, Valerie. Where's the book?!" His voice had taken a raise in pitch, eyes fixed on her form.
"I have no idea what you're talking about" She turned to move away, but his hold on her wrist, paused her in tracks, a low giggle leaving her lips, with the delight filling her gaze.
"You were the only one with me, that day in my room, Valerie"
"Now, Axel wouldn't care less about a pink book sat on my drawer, Marco would rather pick out my briefs than go skim through the pages of a diary he found at my bedside. Which now leaves me to you"
"You took it"
"Oh now you care to talk to me" Her arms were crossed over her chest, eyes taking in his profile.
"You wouldn't care to look my way, a couple days ago, and now you're interested in knowing whether I had anything to do with some book you kept with you for whatever reason"
"Where's it, Valerie?" The sound of his voice broke out.
"If by the book, you mean the diary, I believe you were there to see with your own eyes, how each student wrangled to get their hands on one of its pages"
"You don't expect me to go fighting for that, do you?"
"Also, why would you care so much about it? It's but a dumb book"
"Why did you take it?"
"Curiosity, Zac. Why else would I take it?" She scoffed.
"What does have me baffled, is why you have her diary with you?"
"Have you gone screwing her now?"
She drew even closer to him, eyes shifting through his.
"You and I both know how it ends, Zachary. You wallowing in dejection, and me trying to fix you" Her voice poured out low.
"You never fixed me, Valerie"
"You never gave me the chance to"
"We're back to that now, aren't we?" He scoffed, pulling away from her.
"Well we're gonna have to face it sometime soon, dammit!" Her voice poured out in a bellow, eyes onlooking his.
"I get it, I was the one who broke us apart. I disappeared, left you alone. We've gone that over and over again. But it's high time you spared me some rest!"
"And don't you go acting like you didn't just have my body underneath you few days back, ready to make love to me just like we used to"
"You might have forgotten every of those moments when things seemed rosy, but I can't make away with it, Zachary . It's been made to stay with me"
She made certain to stress on his full name, knowing so well how much it infuriated him.
"It's the fact that I care so much about you, I wish to leave, but I can't" Her eyes were soft on his, hands reaching for his face.
"If we could go back—Her voice fell, hands caressing his face—then I would do all to show you how sorry I am"
"I'm sorry, Zac"
Their eyes held, gazes matching and at the break of that voice coming from outside the halls, had the contact had been broken.
"Zachary Cobain!"
That voice echoed through the walls, with the figure of Miss Greta, the Matron, soon coming into view, while she made entry into the space of the room.
"When I got word that a male student had burst into the female dorms, believe me, the first name that came to mind was yours"
"Why doesn't it surprise me a bit that you're the one to have done such?" She let out.
"To my office, now!" Her voice fell at once, that utterance, soon pulling the young man's figure away, while they moved out the area. Meanwhile, the form Valerie remained there, eyes fixed on that figure till he was far away.
And with much longing in her heart, she was made to waddle in the hurt that his absence brought.
