(A/N: let's go! Lore dropping in this chapter and the next.)

"Thank you Mr. Finny! I'll leave them in your care!"
"It's my pleasure! This is the least I could do!"
I waved goodbye to Mr. Finny as I left. I dropped the two siblings off at the Finny's. I figured that would be the best place for them. The family still felt grateful since I saved their son so it wasn't hard to convince them.
It sucks that I couldn't get the sibling's names but at least they are safe now. I'm sure I will get to see them again.
As I head to Master Ark, I opened up my character attributes and my skills tab.
Character Name: Romeo
Registered Name: Roman
Character Level: 8 (+2)
* 2500 xp until the next level
HP: 299 (+33)
MP: 700 (+100)
Attack: 200 (+22)
Stamina: 235 (+5)
Defense: 135 (+10)
Agility: 165 (+5)
Boosts: +100 to all attributes (Ring of Deus). Double XP (Ring of Deus)
My skills looks like this:
(A/N: I think I'll add the (+) the same way I do with attributes to skills next time so it will be easier for you guys.)
"Holy crap! Many of my skills leveled up and I even added two new skills ."
The Poison Resistance I obviously got from fighting Gerald. The Fire Resistance… I probably got from burning myself while trying to set those fires. Embarrassing honestly. The Smithing skill says that it's locked but I just need to train with Ark for 6 hours then it will unlock itself.
Most skills max out at 10 so I'm hoping that the Vision Skill maxes out soon. I believe that it would help out a lot if I can view every item without missing descriptions just because my Vision level was to low.
I think after I learn the Smithing skill, I will take a short break. Then I'll get back on and train my character level. I should be at least level 9 before the World Event starts. Once all of that is done, if I have time I should use some of those mana cores to increase my mana capacity (MP).

Finally, I reached Master Ark's place. Outside, Master Ark was just relaxing. He seemed to be taking in the sunset.
As I got closer, he turned towards me.
"Ah. You finally came back! Are you ready to learn? You got any ores on you?"
"I have them here. You did ask me to bring my own ore. I think I brought the best."
Master Ark gives me a smirk and scoffs.
"Haha! Is that so? The best ore is Mithril! There's no way you have that!"
I go ahead and pull out the ores. Six shiny silverish blue ores. Master Ark gasped and then pulls me into his shop.
"What the hell boy! Where did ya get this?!? Only those who have a connection to the human emperor can get his hands on these! Who the hell are ya really?!"
I could feel the sudden hostility coming from Master Ark. I quickly put the ores back and raise both of my hands up.
"Wait master!! I didn't steal it!! Well I did! But from bandits!"
I explain to him how I found a cave that seemed suspicious and when I saw bandits coming out, I attacked it and took their loot. I told him that the ore was something that they had.
(A/N: Ark just wanted any ore for the smithing quest and never said what kind Roman should get. The actual quest Roman got told him to get it from the bandits. That's why Ark was confused.)
After telling everything to Master Ark, he seemed to have understood and calmed down.
"I see. Then please take out the ores again. They are very rare and only a select few from my homeland has seen it!"
He puts both of his hands out like a child and waits for me to give it to him. It was weird seeing a grown man with a bald head and full beard act this way.
I take out the ore and hand it to him. He has the same look that a child does waking up on Christmas Day. He rushes over to his furnace and starts it up. He then looks at the ore one more time before tossing it into the furnace.
"Master! Are you starting the process already?"
He just nods without looking at me. He continues to stare at the fire.
"It will take an hour before the ores heat up to the point where I can work with it."
"Only an hour? For a legendary ore?"
"No! Usually it would take a week to heat it up but this furnace was created by my father. My father is by far the greatest blacksmith in the world!"
"I see."
If I remember correctly, Ark Van is the oldest son of Drogan Van. Drogan Van is an unknown figure in the human world but on the Demon Contient, he is known as the God of Ash.
He earned that title after becoming an Emperor Rank blacksmith.
Just like magic skills/spells, blacksmith is also a skill that takes ranks into consideration. The fact that Drogan is an Emperor Rank means that he can craft nearly any weapon possible. If you have an idea, he can bring it to life.
"Master, could you tell me about your homeland? You said only a few have seen these ores."
Master Ark smiles and plops down in a metal chair, he then waved his hands and scraps of metals clang together. It took only a few seconds but the metal finally stops and forms a chair next to him. He pats on the chair.
"Sit. I'll tell ya!"
Who would of thought that Master Ark was also a metal manipulator. I sit down and he pours me some beer, I go ahead and accept it and drink with him.
"AHHH. That's good stuff. Now Romeo, let me ask you. Do you know where the dwarves are from?"
"The Demon Continent!"
He smiles but also shakes his head.
"You're right and wrong. Most dwarves now call the Demon Continent home but thousands of years ago, we lived on the Elf Continent."
I almost spat out the beer. I don't remember hearing about this kind of backstory. I put my drink down and wait for him to continue on.
"Based off of your reaction, I guess ya didn't know. Hahaha, it's not surprising though. Humans don't care about anything outside of their own continent anyways."
"Let me tell ya a bit of history about this world before I tell you about us dwarves. The current gods. The Man God, the Demon God, the Beast God and the Elf Goddess came into power about 5,000 years ago. Us dwarves were already living on the Elf Continent at that time. Before them, the world was ruled by four Divine Beasts. Each Beast ruled one continent with an iron grip. It was their cruel and inhumane torture that we went through that gave rise to the current Gods."
"These four seemingly normal people were born to each race. They grew up like normal people but one day, fate had changed their lives. The four of them found the first four Codex's! The Ex Nihilo Series."
I felt goosebumps when he said the name.
"Out of nothing…"
Master Ark looked at me with wide eyes.
"Oh? You know what that means?"
"Uh. Yeah, I remember seeing something about that in the adventure's guild."
"I see."
I couldn't tell him where I truly heard that phrase. It was a phrase from my world. It's of Latin origins. (A/N: according to google)
"Anyways, these Codexs appeared to the four of them at the same time. When they received it, they were made aware of each other. The four met together on the fifth continent and made a pact to destroy the Divine Beasts using the power of the Ex Nihilo Series."
Oh, the fifth continent. If I remember correctly, that fifth continent was called the Vale of the Dragons. In the game's current time, it should be the official HQ of the Adventure's Guild now. The dragons should have gone extinct on that continent.
"After they made that pact, they followed the Codex. It was said that the Codex's had a plan already made for the four. It was the fastest way for them to become God Ranks. They followed this plan for years."
"Years had gone by and in a blink of an eye, the four individuals became God Ranks by the age of 25. The four of them alone, hunted down and killed every single one of the Divine Beasts. It took them another four years but they killed the final Divine Beast. Every single Divine Beast had been slaughtered by them."
While I was listening, I couldn't help but feel worried. These Divine Beasts were never mentioned in the past before either. For all I know, these Beast could have been reborn. If they did... they might come to the real world too!
