When I woke up at first, I didn't remember anything about yesterday. I guess I had blocked out the haunting memory in my mind. Or maybe I was more haunted by the things that Leonis Rein had done to me last night, and the nasty dreams that followed. I could not think of anything else. I vigorously took my bath with the help of my maids, and for once I was grateful for the perfumes and scented oils they put on me. It helped take away the scent of Leonis Rein from my body. Or so I wish to tell myself.
But then after bath and breakfast, I walked around for a bit, and then I heard murmurs. I saw maids and concubines pointing at me and whispering. Even the guards were all looking at me in a funny way. I knew something was wrong, I knew something was terribly wrong, but it wasn't until I saw Lady Ain, Lady Lapis and Lady Isis without Lady Dalia and Lady Anat, did my mind begin whirling and the memories suddenly came rushing back to me.
