"Ah, I forgot you're not a noble, you must have had to hunt once or twice to get food." Lukart said after Winsor finally answered.
"Y-Yes, we had to hunt. Its just that … ,never mind," Winsor said before stopping himself. 'He's just a kid. I can't bother him with my problems' Winsor thought.
"Well, I have other things to do. Since you have killed animals before, you shouldn't get too scared around monsters." Lukart said as he picked the bag he had packed and started to leave the room.
"Ok, I guess I'll see you tomorrow." Winsor said as he started packing the remaining things into his bag.
'Monsters? I guess it's a magical world so there should be monsters.' Winsor thought.
'Hmm, are they like animals with an ecosystem and everything or do they just spawn in like in games? I guess I'll find out tomorrow.'
Back on Earth
Several people sat in a hospital ward. Most of them were students but they were wearing different uniforms. There were teachers and doctors too but they were in the corners with defeated looks on their faces.
Some of the teachers who were braver than the rest and were busy trying to calm the many students down. Many of them ignored their teachers and were busy trying to get a signal on their phones.
"Hey I got a signal! I got a signal!" one of the students yelled. She was immediately swarmed by the other students but before they could fight over her phone, it automatically started playing what seemed to be an emergency broadcast.
"This is being played on all airways, please bear with the interruption. There has been an outbreak of strange fissures and explosions all around the country," A man's voice came through the static.
Everyone in the room fell quiet and began listening to what was playing on the phone. Some people who had panicked earlier gained hope that they would be saved.
"There are several unidentified beasts and creatures now prowling around the areas with the reported fissures. The army is working hard to- booom!." the man said over the radio before it was interrupted by an explosion then static.
"--lease stay inside at all times and call the authorities if you find any of these fissures" the man said as there were audible screams in the background. There were screeches and clashing of talons and metal that could be heard in the background.
The people in the room lost the little hope they gained when they heard machine gun fire and the yelling of soldiers. They didn't sound like they were winning.
"This is not a drill or a terrorist atta—please stay hidden at all cost- " the man continued saying over the radio even though he was often interrupted by static.
The mood of the room began to grow colder and colder as they continued to listen to the radio. The man explained that there was a large anomalous fissure that had opened in the city centre. The army was busy trying to suppress the things that were coming out of it.
He described them as oversized lizard like snakes that had two arms and a really long tail. They had greenish blue scales and were as tall as a human. The gun fire and explosions in the background didn't stop even once as he was describing how to avoid them.
"They are really strong and are immune to small caliber weapons. Larger --- like machine guns are inefficient but still affect them. If you see one don't try to fight, just run and hide in narrow places," the man said before sounding really panicked.
"Reports of different types of monsters have just come in. Bear sized wolves and grotesque children sized creatures holding stone weapons. Please stay hidden, the arm---" the man said before being cut off by a loud screech in the background.
Flapping of enormous wings could be heard before another screech was heard. This time, the screech was like as though someone was scratching a plate with a fork. It was so loud that even the people in the room had to cover their ears.
That screech was the last thing they heard before the phone cut to static. The man's voice was no more.
At this point, the room had grown dead silent. Only the sound of static could be heard. No one made a single noise in fear of what they heard over the radio coming and attacking them.
"Noooooooooo, this can't be happening no no no no no no." one of the students cried out as they broke down into a teary mess. This student was about 18 years and was called Miya.
Her school had broken into flames for unknown reasons earlier that day. Many of her classmates went missing in the flames but they soon had to leave since one of the firemen who had come to stop the fire died mysteriously.
They at first thought it was due to the smoke and when the students claimed there were things moving in the flames, none of the teachers believed them. Now with what they heard over the phone, they were sure that it was what was in the smoke that killed the fireman.
"Miya, calm down. We going through this together, please stop crying," another student said as she pulled Miya into a hug. She was Miya's friend Layla. Miya cried silently into Layla's shoulder as everyone else simply looked away.
Their class had 20 students but only 12 were here in the hospital ward. The rest were lost to the fire and most of them were Miya's closest friends.
While this was happening, another person who was wearing the same uniform as Miya and Layla let out a sigh. To everyone who was standing beside him, it seemed like a sigh of defeat. They all felt the same way and sympathized with him.
He was Flock, the person who they all thought was Winsor's best friend. The two were inseparable so it made sense that Flock would be sad. Winsor was among the first to be reported missing.
'Great! No one is going to know that it's my fault he went missing.' Flock thought with another sigh of relief. Flock secretly hated Winsor with all his heart but he did his best to hide it from everyone including Winsor himself.
Since it was being blamed on the appearance of monsters, his revenge would never get traced back to him. If anyone accused him, he could just deny it and say that he was Winsor's best friend. He would even get Miya, his twin sister to stand on his side since she always saw them together.
As he was thinking about how lucky he was for these turn of events, a floating screen suddenly appeared in his vision. He was startled but when he looked around, he saw that everyone else had the same look on their faces.

[Warrior]

[Crafter]
Flock was shocked at what was happening. He had played games with Winsor before so he knew what each of the choices meant so he chose the Warrior class immediately.
Flock was among the stronger kids in his class so he figured that even though he was quite smart, being a warrior would be easier.
'Mage class would require me to learn a ton of new spells but a warrior can just learn a few and swing a weapon.'
