A black car stopped in front of a building, and Eder walked out of it tossing his key to the man that was supposed to park the car. A man wearing a shirt and a jean approached as soon as he saw Eder. He had blue eyes and brown hair. He was the man Eder had called.
"what happened? Is it the outcome of tonight putting you in this state?" the man asked walking with Eder into the building.
"we will talk about it once we are up, Matt" Eder replied simply as they waited for the lift.
Soon they walked into Matt's apartment. It was a luxurious and elegant apartment. Eder plopped himself down on one of the sofa while Matt poured him a drink.
"so, what's up?" Matt asked while handing Eder the drink.
"what were you able to find?" Eder asked instead.
"nothing much. That woman knows how to hide things. I found what every normal person would find."
"but you know we are not normal people and neither is she"
"yes, that's what complicate things as well. The fact that she is like us makes it harder for us to find answers unless she wants us to" Eder sighed heavily. "but don't worry, I have started searching deeper already"
"well, what did you find for now?" Matt handed him a folder which Eder opened while listening to Matt's explanation.
"she is alone with her sister for as long as people remember. No one knows really where they come from and who are their parents. She got a degree from a simple university and found her way to where she is today. All in all, nothing out of normal"
"there is something out of normal about this woman" Eder said thoughtfully while looking at the pictureless folder with the information about Dahlia Quinn.
"why are you so intrigued by that woman? I know it Is not just because she might be your future partner" Matt said meaningfully.
"I don't know what you are talking about. There is no other reason for my curiosity. I also did the same for my other partners" he said with a disinterested shrug and closed the folder. Tossing it aside he turned to Matt.
"this place is boring tonight, whats up?" he asked and a knowing smile curved on Eder's face.
"I can call company for us if you like but where is Anna?" he asked with a smirk.
"she is becoming nosy. I think she is getting herself involved too much into this." Eder sighed. "she is hopeless. I want to change favorite"
"you are the hopeless one my friend" Matt said standing up to go and make a call, leaving Eder with his thoughts.
The woman was just breathtaking. Beautiful was an understatement. When his eyes settled on her, he was shocked awestruck and wondered what heavens she was coming from. He remembered her green eyes. Those beautiful lazy green eyes that made her look like a goddess bored by the humans she was forced to live with. He had been shocked when he looked into them for the first time. Looking into them was like looking into an ocean of emptiness but at the same time not. It was weird. They were cold and empty but at the same time it was like she could see through him and he also could clearly see that it was like a facade she was putting up. The look she gave him made him feel somehow, he couldn't understand. When she looked at him, he had felt cold and warm shivers run over his skin. He had never felt this before, it was a first. Now he really wanted to know more, she was just intriguing and fascinating. That was the main reason why he wanted to look into this woman. Who was really Dahlia Quinn?

The next day,Dahlia left the mansion a bit late than usual and headed to the government representative office. She parked in front of the building, and walked to the entrance. As she walked in people started to stare at her but she was used to it by now, though she hated their stare. She went to the reception and asked to see Mr Henrik.
"oh yes Ms Quinn. He is waiting for you. Let me escort you" the receptionist offered politely.
"it is not necessary. I will find my way" she said and walked towards the lift. She could find her way just by following the man's scent. It was not difficult. She soon reached his office and knocked.
"come in" he called from inside and she walked in.
"ms Quinn good morning" he stood up hastily adjusting his suit. He extended his hand to her over his desk but she ignored it.
"let's get this done with" Dahlia said coldly and sat in the plush chair . Henrik retracted his hand while an awkward smile and sat down.
"I see you are the punctual type" he said and started to fumble with the papers on his desk. Dahlia's presence made him nervous. She did not reply to him and just waited. He pulled a drawer and pulled a folder out of it.
"should we wait for Mr Galann?" he asked just as the door opened.
"no need I am here" Eder said walking in the office with a large smile.
Dahlia glanced his way and noticed that his hair seemed a bit tousled. Did he perhaps use the way she was thinking? he wouldn't have used that method when their was many people around, right? Well, she didn't care anyways.
"you are quite punctual" Eder remarked as he sat just across her with a small smile. She looked away from him towards Mr Henrik.
"okay, I will not make you loose much time. The decision fell that the both of you will own the oil refinery corp. As the coin have decided so and with the turn of events it was the only out come possible to satisfy everyone. So this are the documents you have to sign"
While Eder was smiling at the outcome, Dahlia did not seem pleased. But she could not do anything for now. It was either she signed or she was removed and Eder would win. So they both signed the documents, making them owner of the oil refinery company.
As soon as everything was settled, Dahlia picked her bag and headed out. It was almost like she was running away, that thought made Eder smile. Eder walked behind her. He said nothing and waited until they were outside far from the stares that were gaping at them as they passed.
"are you going to see our new company?" he asked and she glanced at him not stopping.
"so?" she replied.
" so you would offer me a ride"
"you should use the way you came" she said meaningfully and he smiled.
"well, I could but riding with you might be much more fun, partner"
"I don't think so" she said just as they reached outside. She did not stop and walked to her car leaving him behind. She drove away without even glancing his way once. He stood there watching the car leave as Matt came near him with his car.
"you need a ride?" Matt asked through the window. Eder, without looking away from where Dahlia's car had disappeared he went to enter the passenger side of the car.
"where are we going now?" Matt asked.
"to the company" Eder said "we will soon receive the paper work of the company we just bought" he said with laziness evident in his voice.
