Mike was woken up to the buzzer in his compound, going off at 4 am. Monday morning. When he looked on the camera he saw Kitty Pryde along with Logan Forge Wolfsbane and Psylocke. Mike got a bad feeling in his stomach. Dressing quickly he let them in asking them to meet him in the admin building.
Kitty explained how the Professor had told the military where Mike was. She then explained that the X Men that came with her also disagreed and could not stand by while the person who helped them was in danger. Mike asked if they knew when the attack was coming, and all they could tell him was soon.
Mike made the decision to take all 4 of them into the downstairs complex. He brought them to the control room.
Explaining that as of Tuesday morning, he would have a way to escape and seal the base so it would be useless until he returned he asked them if they wanted to come with him. After all, they had walked out on the XMen, and Mike still needed hands he could trust.
Logan agreed, saying it sounded like a good fight. Psylocke agreed, stating it was a matter of honor. Forge agreed, saying it was the right thing to do, Mike was convinced he just wanted a closer look at the tech, but hey, who was he to turn down a free engineer. Kitty, of course, agreed since she chose to side with him anyway. Mike had them bring what personal belongings they had and moved to the carrier hangar, giving each of them bunks on the Archangel. He left to finalize preparations for departure.

In the store he bought 10 Twin beam cannons and placed them at equal intervals around the facility. he set all automatons to high alert and set the Haros to Walter's, Parker, Stark, Richards, and Fury with a timed message that would explain the situation and how to contact him if needed.
The perimeter alarms started going off as he reached the control room. Cameras were picking up 24 men climbing the cliffs. The automatons were activated, quickly eliminating the intruders. Mike watched on the monitors as the enemy's forces assembled. He figured the attack would start around nightfall. He was preoccupied with his thoughts and did not hear Kitty and the others enter. "What are they doing bub?" Asked Logan gruffly. Mike glanced at them before returning to the monitor. "They are assembling their forces, if it was not for how advance my scanners are then they would have taken us by surprise. Be ready to depart at a moments notice."
The rest of the day passed quietly until late afternoon. A man in a suit approached and pressed the buzzer. When Mike awnsered the man identified himself as DOD and demanded that Mike exit the compound and surrender himself to the authorities. The expletives that Mike said through the microphone had Logan laughing.
The attack began an hour after sundown with a group of fighters attempting to bomb the complex. The Pillbox turrets lit up the night, intercepting fighters helicopter missiles and everything else. 4 pillboxes were destroyed in the bombing run, and the factory and warehouse were damaged. 5 A10s 3 F16s and 12 Attack helicopters were shot down during the defense.
The ground forces started the attack next. Sentinals leading the charge The dual beam cannons opened up along with the pillboxes and automatons. Every time a turret fired a tank was destroyed thr pillboxes switched between firing at the remaining air support and targeting the armored vehicles. The automatons where holding back the infantry.
The Sentinals, however, were wreaking havoc After 3 double turrets and 4 more pillboxes fell Mike launched the Freedom to beat back the Sentinals. As soon as the Freedom appeared every enemy started to fire at it. Mike concentrating fire at the Sentinals was bombarded with tabk rounds missiles machine guns and everything else they could throw at him. Mike trusted the Phase shift armor to handle the conventional rounds, he used the ciws cannons to deal with the missiles and concentrated fire on the sentinals.
He was holding his own but was losing ground. Damage started to accumulate throughout the fight. and the freedom began to slow down. Mike was starting to get tired after fighting for hours when the notification came that the Mass Driver was ready. Mike immediately ordered the Archangel to launch.
POV Command Center Joint Military
Ross was angry that cheeky brat had cussed out the agent sent to arrest him, eliminated 8 special forces teams, and caused millions of dollars in damage since the attack began. Hardcastle was with the team monitoring for any movement from Stark or the Fantastic 4. and Eisling was working with another group to watch put for any other cape that thought to interfere as well as monitoring the media blackout, keeping the public in the dark about the battle happening in their backyard.
All three were getting anxious as the fight went on. with the forces they had, it should not take this long to take the base. They were clearly wearing Mike down but it was gosting them men equipment and time and they only had so long before there was some kind of response. "What the hell is that?! Hardcastle yelled as something rose rose from the ocean. It looked like it had two legs on the front, the Robot entered a hangar that appeared on its right leg and it moved to a structure as yet untouched by the fighting.
Settling into place the Spaceship Launched quickly sentinals, fighter jets, nothing they had could catch up to the ship as it broke atmosphere and ascended quickly. Staring in disbelief the Three Generals, for the first time since this debacle started, began to wonder if they messed up.
