Alderney is a large world with many races thriving across the land, skies and seas.
The gods are their own race of beings, trapped in the divine realm with the ability to convert the faith of mortals into divinity and perform miracles.
Gods are each ranked into five different realms consisting of:
Deity - A small unspecified god able to perform small miracles of any variety. Most deities are worshipped by one or two small tribes.
Lesser gods - A god that has started the journey into becoming a true god. They have collected enough divinity to condense a godhead and gained a domain. The god becomes specialised and will perform stronger miracles that relate to their domain. They can still perform other miracles at a high price. Most lesser gods become idols to a kingdom-level force.
main gods - A god that is able to condense a second domain boosting their power by a large margin. The majority of gods struggle to breakthrough ending their journey as main gods. Main gods have the faith equivalent to a empirial force.
Greater gods - Few gods can brake the shackles of a main god and condense a third domain. Greater gods are seen as an idol to most gods as very few gods can make it this far. Greater gods have enough power to treat the largest kimgdoms as trash with a followering of continental powers.
Supreme gods - The number of supreme gods recorded in history is less than 20. Near omnipotent beings with little to no care for the world under them. Supreme gods are able to condense the three domains into a single law that they have complete control over.
The domains of a god is unique to the god as only one instance of the domain is allowed in the world. in the cases when two subsequent domains are the same the gods will have to fight over dominance, if they fail their godhead would be destroyed.
The gods domains are graded by their potential.
Basic - consists of an uncommon item or event that has little impact on the Greater world.
Elite - A domain that is a small part of an event or an uncommon emotion.
Lord - A major part of a event or an emotion. Most greater gods have at least two lord grade domains.
King - An event or minor concept.
Emperor - A major event or concept. It's said that only when all three domains are emperor grade can a god condense a law.
A god can mutate one's domain to improve the domains grade however the god risks damage to their godhead. The higher the grade, the higher the chance to break through.
When a god breaks their godhead or becomes forgotten they become a fallen God. Fallen gods are broken records of their past self, lost repeating major moments of their life for eternity, while instinctively seeking ways to fix their godhead.
A god can be corrupted by selfish thoughts in contaminated faith. This causes the god to fall into madness and growing stronger through sacrifices. These gods are known as demon gods.
The mortals come in all different races able to perform skills and Learn magic to grow stronger. each mortal is graded between one and ten for their power.
Grade 10 mortals are often called false gods as they can perform feats similar to a main gods miracle.
Demi-gods are hybrids between gods and mortals. They are born at a higher grade than their species with a special title that can buff and debuff the demi-god. Demi-gods have a chance to become a god that most mortals do not have.
Noticeable mortals sometimes become heroes which is a trademark for any higher force. Heroes have their grades upgraded and able to start their own legend. Legends allow heroes to step on the path of divinity.
Belief is a force trademarked by churches and temples. those with purer belief are able to gain more power in a religious organisation.
Saints have enough pure belief to receive oracles from their respective god. Saints are rare that only main gods have a chance to groom one.
when saints die they become angels which help gods manage their divine kingdom as well as bless another mortal.
Heroes become spirits when they die looking for successors to continue the legend.
Believers are ranked by their faith purity. Purity is determined by how muchutconditional faith they have in a god. A god can absorb tainted faith that comes from desires of their believer, but they will become corrupted also known as demonic gods.
A shallow believer is someone who only believes in a god because they wish for the god to give them immediate gains. These people will abandon their faith as soon as things don't go their way, as a result many shallow believers turn to cults run by demonic gods. The purity of a shallow believer is minuscule only deities who need faith will accept shallow believers as followers.
A devout believer is someone who sticks to a god out of tradition or gratefulness. These people follow a god because its what they were taught to do or a god inadvertently helped them an they feel like they need to pray out of gratitude. The belief is purer, however Devout believers are likely to abandon the religion if the religion hurts their goals.
A priest is someone with enough belief that they will donate and try to gather more followers however they can easily fall to corruption. priests have a small chance of becoming low ranked angels after death.
A head priest is less likely to fall to corruption. They can open churches or temples to spread their faith to the Masses.
A bishop can open a cathedral in royal cities.
An archbishop an open cathedrals in imperial cities.
A pope can open a sacred land in the name of their god, popes will rarely question the orders of god but will do so if he believes the order is suicidal for the church.
A saint is the figurehead of every major religion, they have the purist faith and listens to nobody but their god.
Most skills can be levelled up to 10 such as sprint or fireball. However, some skills come as a profession and can be upgraded further.
basic grade only offer a small buffs to stats and can be levelled to lv3
beginner grade can offer a small buff to stats as well as increase the ability of skills that full under its profession. It can be upgraded to lv10
intermediate grade can offer a large buff to stats as well as increase comprehension and ability of skills under the profession. It maxes at lv 25
advanced grade can offer a huge buff to stats as well as massively increasing comprehension and ability of skills under the profession. it maxes at lv 100
There is said to be a master grade afterwards but not even deities know if this is true.
To upgrade a max level skill one would have t complete an advancement task. These tasks are usually random tasks made to show the person is ready for an advanced skill.
Every entity has racial skills that is unique to their own race. Some racial skills can be upgraded with practice but most need an upgraded bloodline to level up.
Some racial skills are hidden due to impure blood or poor bloodline grade. They have minimal effects and usually unnoticeable, but if discovered the effect is enhanced.
Bloodlines are graded by the purity and power behind them.
Common bloodlines have next to no power and are often incredibly impure.
Uncommon bloodlines offer a small buff to some stats and a simple racial skill
Elite bloodlines offer large buff to some stats and a more complex skill
Epic bloodlines increase the grade cap with a large boost to all stats, the skills can also be called top notch skills.
Legendary bloodlines allow people to reach the peak of existence with little to obstruct them.
Talents are unique passive skills that most people are born with. Talents can range from minor poison resistance to improved magic affinity. There are negative talents that bring misfortune and limits peoples growth but these are rare.
Hidden talents are also common, however most people fail to unlock them.
It is possible to gain more talents through forcibly absorbing another being or from natural treasures. But the consequences of forcibly awaking a talent are severe.
