"Is there something wrong with that?" Vernox asked nonchalantly.

Vernox smiled at Ariel's behaviour. Of course he will talk to her later but first, time to tame a dragon.
Vernox placed his hand on he dragon and began imagining the crest. A symbol of a skull appeared on the dragon's neck and glowed a faint blue light, before it suddenly dissipated.

[You haven't fulfilled the enslavement/taming requirements.]
"Tsk... Of course it wouldn't be easy to get a dragon familiar." Vernox said with gritted teeth.
"Okay, let's see the requirements."
As he said that, a new screen appeared in front of him.

"Like... That's all?"
Vernox stared at the screen in disbelief. The sword of Satan is exactly the reason he is in the forbidden forest today. And this dragon is the so called protector of the weapon.
'So I'll be able to kill two birds with one stone.'
He smirked as he went back to where he left Minova earlier. He'll be back for the dragon after he gets the sword.

"Is it gone?" Minova asked upon seeing Vernox coming to her.
"Don't worry, I've taken care of it." He said as he took her hand.
He brought her out and they went directly to where the sword was, deep into the forbidden forest.
The surroundings was filled with a dark and demonic aura to the extent that one can actually see it.
"What I am looking for is in that cave."
Vernox pointed a cave that was not too far from them.
The cave's entrance was over ten metres in height and Vernox and minova walked in without any hindrances.
Within the cave there were mysterious inscriptions on the wall glowing red. It was really spooky to the core, for Minova at least, Vernox was just looking in amazement at the beautiful red inscriptions on the walls.
"Let's go deeper." he said and they went and ventured deeper into the cave.
They soon reached what looked like the middle of the cave and they saw a large room. The room was illuminated with red light coming from the inscriptions which were all around the room.
In the middle of the room it was there...the demon sword. It had a skull hilt and the blade was blood red with black symbols on the body.
The sword floated on the small pillar that was in the middle of the room.
"Ok let's take it."
Minova was about to enter the room as Vernox stopped her and pulled her back.
"Don't be too hasty. There's a creature in there, let me deal with it first."
Vernox couldn't be more proud of himself for taking the game seriously. He now knows almost all the places on this continent's map.
All the challenges, almost all the monsters, all the important characters, he knew everything.
With a smile, Vernox pulled out his sword and walked into the room. He stood some feet away from the demon sword and held his sword in an offensive position as he waited for something.
'Wait for it...wait for it...Now'
He jumped back wards as a snake creature came out from the floor.
*Hissss*
The snake was very long as it's body kept coming out of the ground. Vernox gripped his sword and jumped towards the monster, slashing at it. The sword couldn't pass through it's scales as they were too thick and his strength is not enough.
'holy light runes'
Twenty runes appeared at the side of his head and his stats boosted by a long margin
He suddenly felt a surge of strength in his body and his silver sword glowed a white light.
Vernox flashed before the snake's eyes and before it knew it multiple slashes appeared on it's body
*Raarhh*
The previously calm snake got agitated as it slithered in circles around Vernox the moment it saw him.
It's head was above Vernox looking at him in anger. Vernox jumped up towards the head and it charged downward with it's jaws open.
Vernox caught the upper jaw. He held the jaw and opened it's mouth and the snake hit it's face to the ground.
*Hissss*
It threw Vernox off of it's head as it's eyes glowed red With rage. All it's wounds were healing visibly at a fast pace and a red aura began emitting from it.
"Oh shit."
He knew what this was too, and it will not be good.. for him at least.
