Jade paid for the gas and everything she believes Jinks would eat and left the station. She got to the hearse and got in. Jinks was passed out, curled up on the seat. She put the bags on the floor and pulled away. On the drive, she was taking note of what town had the biggest population. This will come in handy for when she needs to feed. The bigger the population, the easier she could find food without raising suspicion. Jade knows that both vampires and werewolves live here, she can smell them both. Vampires smell of blood and of a wintry breeze, werewolves smell like wet dogs, and witches smell like sulfur. That means Jade smells like bloody sulfur. Jade finally pulled into the small town of Aldrich. Jade couldn't wait to get to her new home with Jinks. She found the dirt road that she needed to be on. She drove a little longer until she found the house. It was nothing fancy, a small house sitting on 231 acres. The house was only one story high. It had a small kitchen that can hold a 2 person table, the fridge, a cooktop with an oven, sink, 3 counter tops. The bathroom was even smaller. It had a toilet, a pedestal sink, and a small shower. The living room could only hold a couch and a TV. There were only 2 bedrooms in the house. The first bedroom looked like it was meant for a baby. It was the smallest out of the bedrooms. That room was for Jinks. Jade will get Jinks a cat tree and toys, even though Jinks would rather watch TV all day. He loves watching soap operas, his favorite is 'The Bold And The Beautiful.' Jinks would watch it and eat chips. He was an idler. But Jade loved him just the same. Jinks was the only thing that she loves with all her black abyss heart. Jade knew that she will have to get a lot of things to fill up the house to make it more of a home. Jade and Jinks have lived in a covenant all their lives. It wasn't very 'homey'. But for Jade, the witches that she lived with did try to make the castle like house feel like home for her. They tried to give her what everyone needs...love. Jade stopped the car and got out, locking the doors. She didn't want anyone or anything to get to the sleeping Jinks. Jade went to the back of the hearse and opened it to reveal her coffin. She pulled it out and picked it up like it was a piece of tinder. She took it to the house and unlocked the house. Jade turned on the lights and walked in. The house was clean. The old owners cleaned it well. Before her there was an older couple that lived here. But at their age they couldn't keep up with the place, sadly the older woman lost her husband and moved in with her children. Jade placed the coffin in the living room and went out to get Jinks. She reached the hearse she unlocked the door and scooped up Jinks and the bags. She closed the door and went back to the house, when in the house she opened the coffin and placed Jinks at the top. The bottom of the coffin had their things in it. Then she went into the small kitchen and placed the bags in the fridge. Jade went back to the living room and got the curtains from the coffin, she hung them up in the living room and her bedroom. Her bedroom was the biggest out of the 2 bedrooms, it still wasn't that big. But it will fit her just fine, it had a closet and that was it. After she got the curtains hug she dragged the coffin into her bedroom. Jinks was now laying on his back still sleeping. Jade got out Jinks potty stairs and put it in front of the toilet, Jinks was trained to us the toilet and not a litter box. Jinks was fine with that, he didn't like the feel of the litter under his paws. Jade put the coffin next to the wall away from the window, Jinks was unbothered by the coffin being moved. Jade crawled into the coffin and scooped up Jinks and cuddled him.
Jinks (whispering): Jade... Jade.
Jade didn't move. She was laying there like a corpse that she is.
Jinks (yelling into Jade's ear: JADE GET UP!!!
Jade shot up, tightening her grip on Jinks, looking and smelling around for the threat. Upon seeing and smelling nothing, she looked at the fluff ball in her hands.
Jade (confused): Jinks what's wrong? Is something trying to get into the house?
Jinks: No, I have to take a shit and you won't let go of me!
Jade looked at the pile of fur with amusement. She loosened her grasp on the furry demon. Jinks jumped out of the coffin and was running to try to find the bathroom. It wasn't hard to find. Jade, on the other hand, laid back down and was going to try to sleep again. But Jinks had other plans, after Jinks used the toilet and flushed. All Jade could hear was Jinks running all over the house. He ran into the bedroom like a bat out of hell and jumped into the coffin onto Jade's face. Jade didn't move nor make a sound, she knew that he will be done soon. Jinks gets that way almost every time he uses the toilet. Jade welcomes his craziness because that means Jinks is doing good. He was happy and felt safe. Jinks jumped back into the coffin and started to clean himself, giving Jade what she needed..rest. Jade went back to rest. She was awakened by Jinks once again. He was on her chest, pawing at her face. Jade opened one eye and looked at him.
Jade: What is it now, Jinks?
Jinks: The sun is down and I am all out of snacks. Could you go to the store soon?
Jinks putting on his saddest kitten face. Jade sighed and got up. Jade went to put her clothes back on, she needs to get more when she was out.
