"I know you know something, tell me what's happening in my town!" The Sherrif yelled at Mr. Beckham who was sitting opposite him on a chair with Chandler beside him.
"I'm sorry Sherriff but I don't know anything apart from what I told you. We don't know what killed them or how it happened." Mr. Beckham lied.
Earlier this morning, Mr. Beckham and Chandler went inside the woods to find one of the Marshall's cabins because they were supposed to be camping there today and Mr. Beckham knew that the werewolf won't be able to resist the urge of coming out to kill more of the Marshalls since he has a thing for them.
Mr. Beckham with the help of his son and his wife who was able to copy some hospital records, listed all the people related to the Marshalls so they could use them to catch the werewolf. They discovered that one of the Marshall family have a cabin in the woods that they use for camping the same day every day and today was that day.
Mr. Beckham was right about the werewolf because he did show up but they were too late because, by the time they got there, the werewolf have already left after butchering six people there including kids. Chandler and his father were disgusted by the scene, Chandler vomited multiple times because that was the first time he saw something that brutal, and his stomach can't stomach it.
"Wait I don't get it. If the werewolf hunters are strong and dangerous, how come one werewolf was able to kill lots of them in the same place?" Chandler asked as he looked at his father who was just looking at the whole place with blood sprinkled on doors and on the ground.
"They answer the name Marshall but it doesn't mean that they are all hunters. No real hunter was here and even if they were not in this town yet, this will draw them all back and it would be war." Mr. Beckham stated, his voice was shaking and Chandler could not figure out if it was because he was emotional about the dead bodies or afraid of the impending war.
"We should call the Sherrif." Mr. Beckham pulls out his phone to call the Sherriff but his son stopped him.
"Dad wait, this is the second time that we're finding dead bodies in the wood so won't that make us suspects in these strange murders?"
"We've left our fingerprints all over the place, you know what would make us suspects? Leaving here without telling the cops and they finally come here to see our fingerprints all over the place." Mr. Beckham explained and Chandler nods in agreement.
Mr. Beckham made the call and in a few minutes, police cars were around the cabin and the Sherriff came out from one of them.
"What happened here?" The Sherriff asked as he stepped out of his car.
"Let me talk to him." Mr. Beckham whispered to Chandler as he moved forward to meet the Sheriff.
Mr. Beckham passed the other cops that were already disgusted by what they were looking at, some of them were putting on their gloves so they could start investigating.
"Thanks for coming Sherriff" Mr. Beckham replied with a smile as he stretched out his hand for a handshake, the Sherriff was reluctant but later shook his hands.
"What happened here?" The Sherriff asked again, the look on his face meant that he was not ready for jokes.
"I can't tell but I think they were out here camping and were attacked by a wild ferocious animal, maybe a wild dog." Mr. Beckham responded but the Sherriff could tell that he was lying.
"Bull crap!" The Sherriff yelled. "You expect me to believe that?" He asked.
"I was not here when it happened so I can't tell if that's what happened but that's the closest thing I could think of. I'm no detective though so I might be wrong." Mr. Beckham stated, the Sherriff exhaled.
"Mr. Beckham, this is the second crime scene you and your son are claiming to just walk into coincidentally. This time around your cabin is not even close to this one so what were you doing here?" The Sherriff insisted that they were more to this story but Mr. Beckham was not ready to tell him more.
"We were just strolling not far from here and we heard screams so we followed the voice to this place but it was like this when we came. We did not get to see what did all this"
The Sherriff was mute, he exhaled as he stared at Mr. Beckham who was not blinking, he moved his gaze to Chandler who was standing behind them, and then sighed.
"Detective, help these two inside my car. When they get to the station then they can explain all this well enough." The Sherriff instructed one of his detectives.
One of the detectives opened the Sherriff's car door and Mr. Beckham walks in with his son as they looked at the Sherriff who was standing outside still staring at them.
"They might be innocent because all the bodies had claw marks and no sign of their DNA on any of the bodies, just around the cabins." One of the officers from the forensic department was whispering to the Sherriff.
The Sherriff left Mr. Beckham and Chandler in his office so he could know everything his detectives recovered from the crime scene first to know what he could do with them. He looked at them through the window blinds, they don't look like they were responsible for these homicides but he was sure that they knew more than they were saying.
"These two are not saying everything they know." The Sherriff said to the forensic scientist that was with him.
"Yeah, but we can't hold them here without evidence." The Forensic officer replied.
The Sherriff exhaled as he wiped his face with his hands and then stroked his mustache as he stared at Mr. Beckham and Chandler, he looked around the whole station as he sighs, and then walks back to his office. The Sherriff tells Mr. Beckham and Chandler that they were free to go but warns them that he would still get them if they had anything to do with all these killings by an unknown animal.
Mr. Beckham got home with Chandler as they both exhaled almost at the same time and sat down on the sofa in their living room, they both looked tired.
"What a day!" Mr. Beckham grumbled as he picks up the TV remote to switch the TV on and as he does that, there was the Sherriff again live on their TV.
The Sherriff was with the press that came to the station and he was talking about the killings and how he intends to find anything or anyone behind all that.
"I don't care if it's a serial killer or a wild dog, I must get it and stop it but for now the woods are off-limit from everyone. Anyone seen there would be arrested and charged with obstruction, no one should go near there until we are sure that it's safe..."
Mr. Beckham took his attention off the TV and looked at his son who was looking at him too, Mr. Beckham knew that this was getting out of hand and he needs to put this werewolf down before he causes more troubles for the werewolves.
