-Thalassia Kingdom, Rural Village
Ascella's POV*
We returned to the village where I saw my parents already waiting in the entrance of the forest with a worried look on their faces. But when they saw my figure, they immediately abandoned all the things they were carrying and ran to me. "Sorr-" before I could even apologize, my mother already plunged me in her embrace. "I-I know you're curious about things.. b-but you should've informed mother first before doing things like that" she said between her breathes as tears were already falling from her eyes. Ugh, I was too careless, I was used to how my past family treated me that I somehow ignored that my new one sincerely love me. "Sorry mother, father.." I could only apologize while returning the hug as they just tighten the grip.
"We won't question what you did son but I'm glade you returned safely.." Father said while patting my head. I resolved my self as I stared at them seriously. "Father, Mother.. I want to travel the world, please give me the permission to do it.." I said making both of them freeze in their place. My mother expression worsened as she cried again, seeing that Father patted her back while gazing at me. "You just started your practice with magic right? I'm not sure that you can protect yourself with just tha—" before he could even finish, I conjured a fireball that has the same quality as the one he showed me during our first practice. Father widened his eyes before sighing, "Now I'm curious to how far had you achieve brat.." He said while sighing.
"You got my approval.. you only need to convince your mother" he said while ruffling my hair as he went inside our house carrying my already unconscious mother in his arms. The shock was too much for her to the point that she passed out, I know that this might be sudden.. too sudden to be precise but the gears are already turning, I don't have time to play Villager A in this place. Making my first move was dangerous so I need to complete it before anything else happen. Now.. I still need to convince mother, hm what should I use? Oops the wording is rather wrong, it looks like I'm going to do something wicked just to gain approval from my mother.. I of course won't something like that.
Even though we've only been together for a few days, I still cherished those moments with them. It was a rare experience for me who grew from a cold family, everyone acting in their own interest.. I could confidently say that I am the most normal in that family. Mad brother who thought of everything as fiction, apathetic sister who stayed indifferent in any kinds of situation even during the death of our psychopath father. "Hey Genib, help me in this one. You're a woman so you probably know what my mother is feeling right now.. can you give me some solutions?" I asked the spirit who hovered in my head. "Genib has different common sense with humans so Genib could never understand what she is currently feeling" Genib shook her head in denial at his words.
"Well thats too bad.. I should probably talk to her later. Genib I'll take a rest, wake me up if something happens" I said while walking towards my house. Many things has happened in just a single day so me being exhausted is normal. I went to my bed and immediately lay down, not long before I reached the bed my eyes rolled on his own, I succumb to my drowsiness with a silly smild on my face.

Its been 3 days and somehow my mother still stayed stubborn, she refuses to listen to anything I say and would just retort that I am too young to be roaming around the world. During that time, I used it to interact with the orcs raising their loyalty to me, though I feel like that was a useless attempt since their devotion is already to the roof when we first met. All 56,000 Orcs have arrived at the border of Western Wastes and Southern Isles. They settled down and lived a carefree life there, though they still maintained their military like life since no one would know what would happen.
Right now I am currently facing my mother as she finally took attention to my words. "Mother, I know this might be weird coming from a kid who literally didn't do anything in his life but.. I can support myself now" I said those words to my mother who don't look like convinced at all. "Young man, if you meet an old man down the street who looks like he need help, what would do to him?" My mother suddenly asked a question that is out of context. "Hm, I suppose I'll avoid that old man. I value my own life more than his after all" Oops.. should I have not said that? The look in my mother's eyes had changed, ".. I commend your quick thinking about the situation but.. you need to know more about kindness Ascella. I can tell by your eyes that you treat all things as suspicious and would only trust those weaker than you.. you need to change that kind of mindset son" ... I can't say that I didn't feel that but she's right.
I'm quite amazed by how she saw through me in just the week we've been together.. am I that easy to read? "Nope, your not easy to read Ascella but you can't just ignore the parent's love for their son.." Genib said making me deadpanned at her, she just mentioned that I was not easy to read but with how shes acting, I wouldn't really doubt that I am one. "Sorry mother, just new to this kind of thing.. I'll try my best to achieve that kind of mindset" I said with resolve on my voice before trying to walk out of the room. Though before I could reach the door, my back was embraced by my mother's warm body, I was surprised by that but even more shocked when I heard what she muttered. "...We will miss you son.." My expression relaxed as I faced her and return the embrace. "Thank you mom.."

3rd POV*
The next morning another knight has arrived to inform the village about the retreat of the monsters. They are now free to continue living their lives in this village. The news erupted the hidden emotions of the villagers as they throw a large party for it. While everyone was having the feast, Mizar and Alioth were staring at the road as they saw their son parting ways with them. "I'll send some letters if I have the time Mom, Dad. And don't worry too much about me, I already showed you my capabilities right? I'm pretty confident that I can beat the old man in a magic fight" Ascella said while smiling irking Alioth who bumped his hand to the head of Ascella. Though he immediately pulled it back when he felt pain from his hand. "What kind of head is this?! Did you do something to your body?" Alioth asked.
"Nah, just strengthened it with mana. Anyway, I'll miss you both, thank you for taking care of me until now" Ascella said as he gave each of them a hug. Mizar didn't say anything but just watched with tears on her eyes. "You should go now brat, less you want your mother locking you up in this village" Alioth said as he felt that Mizar was just holding herself back. Ascella nodded his head as he started walking away with both of his parents watching his back.
Its been few hours since Ascella and Genib, Ascella's goal is visit all the places in this kingdom so he started walking to the direction of the Capital. But it seems like they are already reached a small town. "Hm.. town of Seginus is it? I'm excited to what this town have in me" Ascella said as he read the wooden sign above the gate of the town. The walls of the town only reached 3 meters which is rather acceptable since this is just a town far away from the Capital. "Do you know this place Genib? Or any information about it?" Ascella asked, "Genib already told you before right? Genib just came to this land for the mission, Genib never really stayed in a human settlements for too long before" she grumbled as Ascella nodded his head.
"Staying here outside won't do anything so let's go inside" Ascella said as he walked to the entrance. There are no people lining so he immediately got to the entrance, he was about to enter when he was stopped by the guard. "Stop young man. Any kind of identifications you have there?" The guard asked while showing his hand to Ascella. "Uhh.. I lived in a rural village just a few hours of walk here so I didn't really have any kind of identification on me.." Ascella said while scratching the back of his head, he never really thought that identification things still exist in this countryside place. "Sigh, you just gotten in age young man? Follow me" the guard sighed before asking Ascela to follow him.
They arrived at the guard's room where many people were resting, "Yo, did you escape work again Harold? You might get fired at this point you know?" One guard said pointing at the Harold, the one who Ascella met while the others just cackled at his words. "Shut up! I'm helping this young man. Kan, please make him a identification paper. He's from that village not far from here" Harold asked the one writing on a paper on the side. "..Another new brat coming at age huh? Give me your informations.." Kan said as Ascella just followed. After a few minutes of giving informations, Kan stopped his hand from writing and rolled the paper he used writing Ascella's words. "5 base will do, don't lose that thing as you need another 5 to make one" Kan said showing his hand to Ascella.
Ascella opened the bag that was given to him by his parents and took 5 small coins on it. 10 base is equivalent to 1 lead, 10 lead is equivalent to 1 grud and so. After that scene, Ascella could now be seen walking in the middle of the town while watching various things that are new to him. The clothes of the people here are what he expected from a medieval like world. "Well, our journey will start in this land, are you ready for it Genib?" Ascella asked while smiling at the novelty of this town. "Genib sure is!" Genib replied sharing the same smile Ascella have. Both of them stared at each other before chuckling, Ascella first went to an inn that he could stay the night.
