Slave POV*
I.. am a failure. When I was a child, I was picked up by a man from a thief organization. He saw talent in me that's why he spent time grooming until I finally learned how to do crimes. He taught me how to move inside this world while giving some impossible missions for me to solve. So that's why.. he is the first person I killed.
I continued doing dirty jobs for coins even though my consciouness is rejecting it. The efforts of that man showed its result when I became the most renowned mercenary in this town. If people look for a sure kill quest then they would only ask for my location. During my last mission, some rich man commisioned me to kill someone, of course I accepted the request. The amount of money being given was not funny, I was devoured by greed that I didn't even noticed how suspicious it was.
The job that was given to me was to assasinate the son of the baron. In other words, the son of the lord of this land. I was reluctant to do the mission since this is a noblemen we are talking about, but seeing my hesitation the man raised the price leading me to accept it without any further question. I am confident in my ability as I trained myself to reach the peak of human capability, thats why I immediately executed the mission and sneaked towards the Baron's mansion. Even though I prepared everything, even my escape route, I missed something vital that hit me really hard.
The Baron's father. Zosma Kraz, the former head of the Kraz family. That information is already frightening enough but what I missed is the.. 'Mage' title. As if expecting me, he was already waiting when I reached the roof of the mansion, along with the staff in his hand and a chanting slipping out of his mouth. My instinct rang all around and I was about to escape, though my attempt was turned useless when a wind blade emerged from his staff and amputated both of my legs. The pain was something that I never experienced before, sure I was trained to have pain resistance but the pain of having both of your legs cut is not something I trained before.
During that time I finally realized what happened, I was trapped. Judging by how Zosma was waiting for me, he probably already know that I was coming for his grandson.. that could only mean one thing, all of this was already planned before hand and just like a fool, I fell for it completely. I just suddenly remembered that the only rich people in this town is the Baron Family so having that much money as a bounty should be impossible. I see, that man who ordered the assasination is a servant of them huh..? I failed my self, I couldn't even see that coming.
They probably thought that I was getting out of hand, thats why they planned this much just to get rid of me. They know how I work and what I do.. just how far did they dig in my history? I was really a fool.. that was what my last thought before my consciousness succumb in the darkness. The moment I opened my eyes, I saw a room with many tools inside it. I understood what is happening and readied myself for the incoming pain.
The torture lasted for many days until the feeling of pain became something familiar with me. Its crazy how I could adapt to something like this, there must be something in my constitution that I still don't know. The torture only stopped when a rich looking man arrived and stopped the butcher. The moment my eyes reached him, all of the hair in my body rose.. it was my instinct screaming that this man is not normal.. no, he is not even a human, that much I can tell. Seems like he made a deal with the Kraz family and got my life in exchange. He mentioned something about returning in a few days so they should just place me in a slave market.
With me feeling numb to the pain, there was nothing I could do anymore. I could only sat in the floor while thinking about life, though that mindset change when a rather handsome young man arrived at the market. He picked my cage as if sensing something special on it which I know there is not, there is only a broken thing here that no one could use. I was ready for him to get away when he see my appearance but once again he surprised me. He didn't even flinch seeing how horrible my body is but grinned happily. He is weird.. "I'll be taking this girl with me"..!? The moment he said that, something inside me shook, I immediately calmed myself using the experience I have before but the chaotic feeling inside didn't rest.
He took a knee and stared me in my eyes, "Can you hear me? From now on, your loyalty will lie towards me. I'll fix you and turn you into a perfect companion for me" his voice has a charm that somehow drawn me to him. I just watched him walk to my cage before breaking it with his bare hands, I was shocked upon seeing that. He is strong, stupidly strong if I may say.. he didn't feel my weight when he carried me, its as if he was carrying a feather. He brought me in a inn before saying something weird about fixing me. I couldn't comprehend his words but the next moment my expectations were all blown away.
This guy is a mage! And I didn't even hear him chanting something! Is this a dream..? It should be right..? There is no way that someone could use magic without magic.. that would be just spirits or Fae. I somehow felt a comfortable feeling in my body, the small wounds that I had before vanished but both of my legs were still amputated, there is no change in them. Seeing that I lost hope in standing up again, its impossible even for a mage.. I have never heard of a mage being able to bring back missing limbs anyway. I noticed him talking in the air many times now, I was curious about that but just ignored it since I am more focused on my thoughts.
A light appeared in the air as it entered my body, what?! What is this!? My surprise turned into shock when I witnessed my body healing at a visible pace. New limbs were forming and my nose returned, this is.. a miracle.. is perhaps a spirit? Or maybe even a god? There is no way thats possible right? I raised my head only to be met with the gentle smile of his. Ahh.. what is this feeling? My body is moving by itself, the raging feeling inside me turned into a storm, the only thing that entered my mind at this moment is to be with this man. There is no other joy for me than be by his side, that is what my heart is telling me.
He went to the bed and rested while I just watched him sleeping all night. I couldn't sleep because of how fast the events were, I was just waiting for my own demise when this guy suddenly appeared out of nowhere and just saved me. Ahh.. how should I repay him. The following morning, I overheard him talking with the knight that arrived without notice, judging from the conversation, the man who saved me is currently being falsely accused.. and his opponent is.. young master? Dangerous grandfather? Kraz Family?! Those bastards! They never really stop their wickedness! I'll do something about this situation first.. I apologize for breaking your first order.

3rd POV*
Ascella and the others left the town as he was already disgusted with it. The woman slave he has seemed like she has some grudge towards the noble family that falsely accused him but he don't want to gather more attention to him. That's why they are currently walking on a road that leads to the next town, there are already some events that happened in the first town so he was rather excited to the next one.
"Wait, let's stop here first, I'll try something since its been bothering me for a long time already" Ascella said as both of his companion nodded their heads. "What are you going to do this time Ascella? Genib is excited about it" Genib said while flying all around. "... Even I don't know too, its just I have a feeling that I don't only have one ability inside me" Ascella said making Genib narrow her eyes, he was already a powerhouse even when he only has the ability to command mana but now he has more? This would turn into something scary, Genib is sure of that.
The slave just watched clearly curious to what would happen with her mysterious master. Ascella walked in the middle of the green land, he tried feeling the other power he has inside his body and somehow caught it. He tried pulling it out before everything around him turned black, everything went still as sound was loss, light vanished, earth was erased and the wind just ceased to exist. The natural laws of the world tried patching up the damage and ultimately failed, Ascella sensing the wrongness of the situation pulled the power inside his body again. After that, the laws finally did its job and returned everything that was lost just now.
Genib and the slave could only open their jaws in awe, there are no words to describe this scene for them other than unbelievable. The common sense that they were keeping in are starting to break, they just wished that they never seen that scene before.
