Alright, the time was almost here. For the past day, the gang of four were preparing. Maya was readying to prevent Zack from helping Vito. Whilst Scott was preparing to end Vito's life once and for all. The plan was being created greatly. Vito long ago got all the supplies needed and hid them in the courtyard. He only took small supplies at a time, and from the back of the shelves.
The group rushed to complete their tasks soon. Zack was also 'cultivating' his powers. He could use energy based powers and several other powers. He was very powerful in his physical properties, while also having extreme magical ability. The other races from below brought with them magic called Miracles. But these Miracles were amplified several times. After all, he was the descendant of the Supreme Human King, well the child he was cloned from was the descendant.
Vito entered the storage room once more as he grabbed four backpacks from the back of the containers. He was discreet as he hid the backpacks within only one. Pretending to use the other backpack for other purposes. No one suspected anything. But he had the ever present feeling of being watched. And he was right to have that feeling, Coco was watching him.
She could feel that something was up with Vito ever since he lost and won the two duels they had yesterday. The green eyed girl didn't know what it was. But it was something alright. Coco closed her eyes as in her mind, a sort of green crystalline gem awaited her. It was Mother Nature's Gem. Also one of the most powerful objects in the world. Being able to use the force of nature to destroy her opponents.
It was also one of the various reasons her affinity with nature and weapons was unmatched. Coco touched the gem and sighed. She returned from the sort of Garden of Eden. Coco looked out in the courtyard. She could feel the grass blades surrendering to her will. But she didn't do anything.
If it was revealed she had such a power, then she might be even more locked up by the Bastion. No one must know she had this power. Coco thought about Vito and held the hand he held. A soft look in her eye. She bit her lip and thought about her stupid actions. When she rejected Vito's friendship, she had an urge of regret because the 'friend' she had then, betrayed her and joined another clique.
In regret she began to bully Vito. Because she thought it'd make sure he always knew she was there and living. And that he would notice her all the time. She never really fought back whenever he pushed her away. And over time, she almost forgot about the reason she bullied Vito. But after he held her hand, she remembered. Coco looked up in the sky and walked back inside.
I'm guessing by now, all the characters introduced had special powers. Have you thought about why? No...? Heh, you'll see. The day progressed into lunch. The cloned children had insectoid lessons and even fought one in groups of three. Except for Coco, Zack, and Vito. Both could easily defeat their opponents without help. Scott and Maya were in a duo as they examined Vito's fighting style.
Everyone had their special preferences, no one was an exception. Like how Coco loved powerful and destructive attacks or how Zack used a very flashy and fast style. Vito liked ending his opponents with the least amount of energy he could. Using precise attacks at his enemy's weak spot. With swift and fast movements, but also with strength, taking out his opponent as fast as he could. Coco was a strength build, Zack was a speed build, and Vito was a balanced build.
But if there was an area where Vito excelled, it was his patience. Scott didn't doubt for a second that Vito wasn't the best hunter in the entire facility. With the fact that he was undead, he could easily wait for days on end for prey. No one came even remotely close. Sergeant Jay focused on strength and hand to hand combat, but he was hot blooded and impatient. Fearless and reckless too.
But Vito had none of those flaws. Scott clicked his tongue, but he had a plan. He could sabotage the creature storage rooms. From the intel he gathered from guards. There were dozens of insectoids, moon wolves, and zombies. If Vito was too busy handling them, then Scott could kill Vito as he fought. Scott could even use the guards as a distraction. There were many ways to kill Vito.
But his personal favourite was backstabbing him right there and then. Since Vito was proficient in hand to hand combat, Scott would take out that problem. He could ambush Vito while he was holding a blade in his hand. With that, Vito dared to drop the blade. Scott could use it against Vito. And since they were grabbing knives from the kitchen, he could dual wield. And if Vito didn't drop it? Simple, Scott was second only to Coco in terms of weapon skills. And Vito couldn't win against Coco at all. Plus, Scott's area he excelled in was stamina. He could easily fight for an entire forty five minutes, unlike Vito...
Vito didn't know that a plan was made against him right now. But even if he did, he would easily make a plan to counterattack. However, right now he was in joy at something. 'Training talent achieved. [Dagger Proficiency]. Dagger Proficiency gives the user proficient dagger skills. At maximum power, a user can attack ten times in a single second.' Vito was overjoyed with it. He estimated in the worst conditions that he could attack four times in a single second even when conserving his energy.
The only regret was that Vito only had one skill box. But that was fine. He had great dagger skills. Even if he didn't equip the talent, he was certain that he could attack three times in a single second with a third of his energy. And seven times if he went full power. But that would be in a last ditch effort. For those asking why he doesn't attack with infinite stamina. That isn't how it works.
Mutated and cloned, Vito's stamina wasn't infinite. It was just very great. Analogy for example. Sergeant Jay could run at full speed for twenty minutes at most. And he runs fast. Vito was several times more than that. He could run for an entire sixth of a day if he wanted (4 hours), at full speed too. But that would mean showing off all his cards. Most people only believed he could run at full speed for half an hour at best. Deliberate thinking on Vito's part.
Scott didn't know this, and while he was right in some of his thinking. He was stupid to think he could best a wight in stamina, even if it was one of the weakest wights in existence. Weakened further by being mutated. But mutated wights were far deadlier than normal wights even with their physical properties reduced by a lot.
Lunch ended as the Sergeant had everyone gather. "Change of plans again! Instead of me going to meet with Captain Milly, I'll be waiting here for her." Vito cursed under his breath again. But this was life. Now Vito had to worry about Jay. Zack looked frustrated, Scott looked thrilled, Maya was nervous again, and Coco was neutral because she didn't know of the plan. But if she did, she'd still be willing to go through with it. Most children there wanted freedom. No matter who it was, except for Kain.
However, they still needed to nab the infant in the facility too. Good thing whenever Vito passes by to get to the item storage. He memorises the way, because the infant room is on his way too. With a plan set in motion. It was a mere matter of time before everything happened. Everyone was in deep thought as the time began.
Coco was unaware of the danger as she went to sleep normally. Scott looked outside as night fell. He was ready to kill Vito for this. Maya gulped as Alice comforted her 'girl' who was shaking. The thought of killing Vito stuck in her mind. Vito prepared the final details as he thought carefully about the talent he was going to use for the escape. And the time was now. But everything wasn't okay.
The schemes under the wraps. The schemes under the schemes. The danger of leaving. How the other kids will react. Zack looked determined as a golden tint in his eyes sparkled like the world was bowing down in front of him. Maya seemed to have the aura of a goddess, but the followers were demons. Scott's face darkened as the world feared him. Vito's undead heart pulsed a rhythmic beat as a small ember fought to stay alive within him.
And the time was now. It was time to escape...
