Zack solemnly thought about the times he'd spent with Maya. When they played together when they were first cloned, when they both talked to each other about their insecurities and worries. But now, it was time to end her. Zack didn't say anything as the bloodline responded to him. He pumped a lot of power into this attack. Maya's power came from demons, while Zack's power came from killing the sinful.
Demons were basically sin incarnate. This was his last plan, his trump card even. Heaven's Wrath, it would directly shatter one's soul if they got hit. Zack took one last look at Maya whose power was raging all over the place. A red energy destroyed everything around her, it was the demon's work. But right now, it was time for the demon to die. "Goodbye, my friend." Zack told her without tears in his eyes, but emotions ran rampant below the surface.
Golden lightning shot through the red energy and was pointed at her neck and pendant. Maya had already struck a blow when her brother died in front of her, but now that Zack was going to kill her. She broke. Maya grit her teeth as she forcefully used her 'mother's' power to kill Vito. But she still couldn't kill Zack. The red energy sliced the air like it was nothing and was going towards Vito's heart.
Zack narrowed his eyes and was about to kill Maya faster, but Vito beat him to it. Turning around, in his right hand was a glowing black and red blob of mist. Unlike the energy Maya and Scott used. The laser of demonic energy was close now, but it didn't move. Vito blocked the blow effortlessly with his right hand. It was deflected in fact. Zack didn't miss this chance as he swung the dagger he'd grabbed from a dead guard and didn't look.
However, Vito saw the entire thing. Start to finish. Golden lightning flashed on the dagger as it decapitated the stunned and dumbfounded Maya. But she wasn't dead yet. Vito raised his hand and silently killed Maya before she could die. The pendant fell to the ground as 'Alice' was able to move to safety. But Vito didn't care and destroyed the pendant, housing 'Alice.' Killing her too, Coco was fighting the guards when a destructive force appeared. Sergeant Jay. No one talked as they all looked at each other.
'Era Lord killed. Taking a golden finger. [Vigorous Heart]. Your heart is 'biologically' healthy and is much more powerful than a normal heart.---------- Personal racial talent [Wight's Heart] has been detected and fused with [Vigorous Heart]. Racial talent achieved. [Supernatural Heart]. Your heart is supernatural, meaning so is your body. Your blood, flesh, and organs are completely enhanced to supernatural levels... Era Lord defeated... +1 talent box.'
Vito spared no time and equipped Supernatural Heart. While his own racial talent did fuse with another one, he still had his racial talent. Sergeant Jay attacked Coco with no remorse. Zack was injured, but he could still fight. Vito merely healed his external wounds, not his internal ones. But his new power was fixing his body at alarming rates. Vito and Zack rushed to help Coco who was under attack.
Sergeant Jay wasn't called a Sergeant for nothing. His skills may not be as good as other Sergeants, but they were there. And plus, his specialty is teaching. So the group was facing one of the weaker Sergeants around. Even so, they were being destroyed. Jay had an ability unlike others. Whereas most Sergeant's miracles were combat or supporting others related. Jay's was about weakening himself. Usually this would be bad. But if you have enough training and creativity...
It will become better. Jay is able to weaken two people. And he chose to weaken Zack and Vito decisively. But Coco was unaffected. Zack was way faster than Vito even with all his talents, that showed how impressive the Supreme Human King's bloodline could be. With a single tap of his foot, he could traverse seven metres in an instant. Vito and Coco could at most travel four metres with a single foot.
Zack was basically a blur, but Jay was blurrier. Zack stopped Jay's punch towards his face when Coco swung her leaf great sword called, Nature. Nature tore through the air like it didn't even exist. The air friction was way below average, making the great sword just as fast as a rapier. Jay easily ducked and dodged it while grabbing Zack's throat from below and smashing him into a wall. Vito came out of nowhere with a fully charged hand and destroyed the area Jay once stood on.
The Sergeant scoffed and grabbed Vito by his neck before about to snap it. But Coco sliced the Sergeant's arm. But Nature was stuck, only a flesh wound was left as it seemed like the previously strong greatsword turned into a dull practising one. Coco's eyes narrowed as Jay grabbed her face and knocked Vito's head with hers. They fell to the ground as Jay was surprised to see Zack's arm in his right lung. Almost piercing his heart if not for the fact that Jay had noticed and reacted.
Zack knew that he could've killed him right there, but Jay couldn't have turned into a Sergeant if he could only weaken others. His instincts were higher than the other Sergeants. He relied on his instincts to survive many battles and encounters before. Yet, it wasn't enough right now when Coco came to her senses and slugged Jay in the face with her sword. Vito took this chance as he located the heart and used all his strength to pierce it brutally. Killing the former soldier. As his eyes turned lifeless, a text appeared.
(Yes, I used an actual spinner for this.) 'Miracle User killed. Spinning a wheel... failed. No racial talent achieved.' It was a pity, but it was fine for now. Because the trio needed to run, and right fucking now. Because in about five minutes, Captain Milly would find the group. Vito looked at Zack and Coco before asking. "Where's the infant?" Zack pointed outside near the bushes. "We left her there when we- I came back to save you." He still felt a little sad.
Vito shook his head and grabbed Zack's and Coco's hands. "Thank you. For coming back to save me. And for saving me in time." He expressed genuine gratitude on his stone cold face. Making the two feel a little red. But Vito let go of their hands and started to run, they ran after him. As they passed by the bushes Zack opened up one of the bushes to reveal a charming young girl. Thirteen years in age. Seemed like she grew when they weren't looking.
She had blonde hair like Zack, and green eyes like Coco. But she had a body comparable to even Vito with his current talents equipped. She was... strange, to say the least. However, Vito merely threw the girl on his shoulder and ran for it. The others were the same as they didn't turn around once. The facility was already burning and many of the clones escaped, only nine stayed. They were the 'dogs' of the facility. And people who Vito never wanted to include in his plan. Fearing they might ruin it.
They ran past the fence which was blown up by the fireworks. They could have easily just destroyed it, you say. No, these fences were made to directly counter and be resistant to Miracle users, but normal explosions like fireworks or just a normal bear ramming into it, would easily destroy the fence. But the guards around would make sure it stood intact.
As the group of four ran away, a helicopter landed on the scene. A tall, gorgeous woman appeared. She would make men kill each other just to get a single look. It was Captain Milly with rage in her eyes. She was the third highest ranked official in Bastion 14. But look at what happened with her on site! She's going to face backlash.
"Find the people who did this. And those clones who stayed behind? Send them to me, I'll personally train them for their loyalty." No one in their right mind would kill such valuable subjects. Who would do that? The black suit men around her pulled out Vortexes, the standard assault rifle used by those in the Bastions' Militaries.
Meanwhile, the group of four had long left and never looked back. As they came to a cave they decided to settle down. Even if the black suit men wanted to find them, they'd need to travel for an entire day on foot. Plus, they only had half an hour to find the culprits, if they couldn't find them. Then they'd return with all the children they grabbed back.
As the group settled, Vito switched his talents. Gaining as much regeneration as he could, whilst also using the demonic energy to heal himself and the others. Soon enough, the infant- girl woke up. "H- hello?" She noticed the group of three. Finding Zack familiar. "Ah! You're awake, name's Zack. How about you?" Zack greeted warmly, making the girl flustered.
"I- I don't have one." Coco tapped her chin. "How about we give you one?" The girl nodded excitedly. "Liza." Vito suggested, the girl now named Liza nodded. But seemed wary of Vito. "Good, now. Let's rest before heading to the nearest settlement. Which happens to be the Lake Settlement."
