In a dimly lit room, Calvin sipped a weirdly colored drink from a wine glass cup as he gazed with unfocused eyes at the large glass window viewing the bustling night city.
Hhhnnnggg Hhhnnnggg
His phone vibrates on the large desk bringing him back to reality.
He turned and stared at the direction at which the phone was ringing from, he took a sip again and walked to the desk.
He picked up his phone and the caller ID displayed 'mother', his expression brightened a little and he answered the call.
"Hello".
"My dear son, how are you?". A woman's voice asked.
"I am fine".
"When are you going to come back? You left after the ceremony and you didn't tell anyone where you were going to, your father has just made an agreement with the Whitlocks. Maybe you can come home now so that you can prepare for your engagement ceremony, you know I…"
"I will be coming home tonight". Calvin interrupted his mother.
"Oh my! That's good to hear, I will prepare for your coming and I will tell your dad now, he's been angry at the fact that you left him in the dark". Calvin's mum said excitedly as she giggled lightly.
Calvin's expression changed when he heard his mother's statement.
"No! There's no need for all that, I want my coming to be unannounced and for dad, don't tell him anything, I will visit him when I come back". Calvin responded flatly.
"Alright, but why did you cut off contact with your family for days, since the appointment ceremony we never heard from you, you didn't call and you switched off your phone for days now, we were only hearing about you in the news, I was surprised you even picked my call, is everything alright there?". Calvin's mother asked, concerned.
"Everything is all good here, you shouldn't worry, I will be hanging up now, I want to prepare for my return".
"Okay, my dear, please call me when you return".
"Alright, I will". Calvin answered and hung up.
After Calvin hung up the call, there was a knocking sound on the door.
"Come in".
A slender, average-height man walked into the room.
"Boss, your flight is ready".
The man said, bowing his head.
"Tell Alex to come to pack my things".
He said after staring into space for some seconds, he looked aloof almost all the time.
"Alright, boss".

The next morning Amelia heard a knock on her door, she got up from the bed and lazily trudged to the door with a sleepy face.
"Are you still sleeping by this time?!".
Madam Prisca shouted as she saw Amelia's face.
The shout brought Amelia back to reality as she opened her eyes wide, seeing Madam Prisca in front of her, she screamed and closed the door on her face.
"What is wrong with her?".
She heard Madam Prisca ask quietly to herself behind the door.
She was sleepwalking again, and this was as a result of stress and over thinking.
Amelia freshened up and packed her hair up before opening the door again, but Madam Prisca wasn't at the door, so Amelia walked out and closed the door behind her waiting for Madam Prisca outside her house as she talked with other neighbors.
They were looking at her with so many questions on their mind.

Two black cars drove smoothly into a monochrome-designed grand-looking mansion with exposed concrete and black limestone, which formed the main theme of the outside decor across the mansion and have been incorporated extensively throughout the structure, as they glowed under the late afternoon sun.
The cars parked in the garage, an average-height man, dressed in a black suit came out of the driver's seat of the first car and walked briskly to the second car. He opened the door to the left passenger seat.
Calvin came out with his phone close to his ears, walking with long strides into the mansion.
The mansion belonged to the Riggs family.
They are among the wealthiest families in the country.
Calvin put the phone into his pocket as he walked in majestically.
The average-height man followed him behind holding a briefcase.
"Calvin, you said you would come home last night, what happened?".
A middle-aged woman asked, concerned as she hugged her son dearly.
She looked rather very young and beautiful for her age, she had a smooth skin that complimented her beauty and made her look classy.
She and Calvin had a resemblance, seeing them together one can automatically tell that she is his mother.
"I had a few things to take care of as I returned".
Calvin answered as he pats his mum's back gently.
"No problem, my dear, have you eaten?, I personally prepared your favorite". She asked.
"No, I just had whiskey...". He said and paused.
"What's she doing here?!".He asked with a harsh tone.
His expression changed immediately, he furrowed his brows in anger as he sighted a young lady in the living room.
"Hey, don't say that, she will be staying with us now until the day of your engagement". Calvin's mother, Kate said.
Nora was very clingy and he hated that, now she gets to leave with his parents, he had to stop this.
