Two men walked into the café, they both appeared feminine with the bright colors of cloth they were putting on and how they walked, she had never seen this type of unusual gay couple but, it was nothing out of the ordinary, they seemed lovely with the smile on their faces.
They greeted Madam Prisca passionately, which would mean that she knew them personally.
The conversation began and Amelia seemed to like where it was going, they wanted a child of their own and couldn't wait to speed run the whole process.
What! A traditional surrogate?
Does this mean that she has been chosen already or what?
The couple wanted her to use her egg?
She wondered when it will be the right time to ask about an advanced payment or, should she wait for Madam Prisca to bring it up? She hasn't signed a contract yet, until then, before she could allude to it.
After they were done with the discussion, Amelia and Madam Prisca went to the hospital to do an all-round check of her health and reproductive organs.
She was fine, no sexually transmitted diseases and her overall health was sound to carry a child.
Amelia was scheduled to go for insemination the next morning, although it was too fast, the couple wanted a traditional surrogate which would be a lot quicker than the process of insemination for an already fertilized embryo as a gestational surrogate which would need numerous medication to prepare her body for pregnancy.
Traditional surrogacy has its own downs, given the emotional and legal complexities.
Amelia lazily fell to the bed and went straight to sleep immediately she got home, she required a good, long and peaceful sleep. She was beginning to lose her glow because of lack of sleep, overthinking and imagining fake scenarios in her head.
After tomorrow, she won't have to worry about her grandmother again.

The fertility clinic stood tall in the heart of the city in the late hours of the morning, it was the largest in the country and the most expensive to get fertility care in.
Mr. Alex drove into the parking lot with high speed, he swiftly got out of the driver's seat to open the door of the front passenger's seat, Calvin didn't wait for him to open the door as he got out of the car by himself, they both seemed to be rushing, walking into the building as fast as they could.
Thirty minutes later, Amelia arrived at the clinic in a cab, she had just settled legal matters with the couple and would receive a massive sum after the intrauterine insemination at the clinic, the contract in place was to spell out expectations during the pregnancy and after.
Most surrogacy agencies and fertility clinics won't work with a woman unless she already has a child of her own, but because Amelia pursued surrogacy without the help of a surrogacy agency to facilitate the arrangement, she was able to throw convention to the wayside and act as a surrogate.
The newly-wed couple had already been at the fertility clinic to lay out the necessary matters for Amelia to be able to go there alone for the insemination process, Amelia looked through the papers in her hands, she was looking for the one that laid out the directions for where to go and whom to meet with at the clinic for the procedure.
"You can leave to handle things, I will take it up from here, rest assured there will be a match before the end of this week". Mr. Alex spoke to Calvin as they both walked out of the agency.
Calvin had rushed to the agency this morning to complete his part of the process so that everything will be done as soon as possible, and he goes back to handle unofficial matters that concern his position as the new CEO of Riggs Universal Holdings while leaving the rest of the process for his assistant to take care of.
Two bodies collide in the rush as they were walking in different directions, in and out of the building.
"Ah, Oh! I sincerely apologize, I didn't….".
Amelia pleaded, she had been too busy sorting out the papers in her hands that she didn't notice the people in front of her and bumped into a man who was walking like he needed to attend to a dying person.
He just threw Amelia a stern gaze and didn't utter a word as he walked out of the premises into the parking lot.
Amelia massaged her forehead a little to ease the slight pain, she was feeling.
'Is his body made of iron?'.
She wondered to herself as she reached the reception desk.

In a penthouse, a man who seemed like he was in his early sixties, paced around with a troubled expression while a young lady sat down cross-legged in front of a table a few inches away from the man. On the table is a wine bottle and a wine glass.
"What?!". He asked like he couldn't believe what he had just heard.
"Yes, he is dead".
"How did they find him, and why would they kill him that fast? Wouldn't they need some information from him"? Mr. Adams asked with fear written all over his face.
"What! Is that a question? Common Mr. Adams, you worked with these people for years, you should know, we are talking about the Riggs, here".
"Are you trying to praise them?". Mr. Adams asked his secretary with a harsh tone.
"I bet; Mr. Shaffer told them about your location". She responded nonchalantly as she twirled the drink in her hands.
"He doesn't know, so he can't tell them anything".
"What I am saying is, if we leave now, we can escape them".
"What do you mean?". Mr. Adams asked.
"I mean, they would be on their way here by now, they killed Mr. Shaffer, meaning he was of no use; they know where you are, you are next". She spoke calmly.
"Shut up and let me think!". Mr. Adams shouted.
The young lady just shrugged as she continued pouring wine into her empty wine glass.
Smash!!
"Why are you drinking at this time, Joan?!!!".
Mr. Adams shouted as he smashed the wine glass on the floor, shattering the glass and spilling red wine on the white ceramic-tiled floor.
Joan stood up from her seat with a calm and unbothered expression as she walked away from him.
'You will soon die, old fat'.
She said to herself internally.
"Who were you talking to on the phone, in the bathroom?". Mr. Adams asked.
Joan stopped walking and turned to him.
"It's none of your business".
"I will send you the location later". Mr. Adams quotes what he heard.
"I heard you say that on the phone".
"I was talking about a different thing; we need to leave now. Mr. Adams".
"Alright, let's start packing".
"I have already prepared a place we will stay in for the meantime". Joan said.
"I called Mr. Goodman; he said that the boat will be ready to leave in three days time". Mr. Adams said in a calm voice.
"Wow, that was fast". Joan nodded.
They both packed up and came out of the hotel rushing, Mr. Adams covered his face with a nose mask and a cap.
As they were VIPs, they were able to get into the underground parking lot directly from the elevator so that they weren't captured by CCTV cameras.
After putting their things into the boot of the car, Joan entered the driver's seat and Mr. Adams in the front passenger seat.
The barrier was raised, and Joan sped out of the hotel premises and into the highway.
As they were driving, Mr. Adams brought out a gun and pointed it at Joan's head.
